  • The first day of our vacation starts with a pretty long trip from Munich, Germany to the valley Defereggental, Austria. We avoid motorways and pass lake Achensee, Zillertal, Gerlos Mountain road and drive the stunning Grossglockner High Alpine Road. Although it is summer in Europe, the amount of snow up there was pretty impressive. This is one of the best roads for motorbiking in the Alps. We had so much fun. The St 1300 Pan European is a fantastic bike in the mountains. Very easy to handle despite the high weight. It took us around 10 hours from Munich to our destination, as we had a lot of stops to take pictures. :D

My old stomping ground. I love the video on top. This will be added on my bucket list. Silver bike is faster,, just like mine on the track on Saturday :>) Hopefully I'll find time next summer to visit Grossglockner. This summer I'm back to Salzburg and Venice and Lake Garda northern Italy. I hope you have time to go around Lake Garda to Sirmione and the hot springs near the castle in the Lake.
Sirmione is on the south end of Lake Garda. Stay at Hotel Sirmione. Trust me. It's perfect for your bike ride .Cheers, Michael.

Guess where we were going after Grossglockner. :D 1 week Peschiera del Garda. And Sirmione is a must do when in that region.

@@Aupsi2 That is wonderful. You will really enjoy what appears to be an island on the south end of the lake. Once you're in that little village, on the North End is Roman ruins 2,000 years old and the wellness outdoor heated pools are open till midnight which are on the northwest side of that spit or Island. Enjoy you have chosen a wonderful place to go 😎🤙
