@diesel1358 I think he's trying to say that people who train weightlifting will have more appreciation for this lift than non-lifters. Doing a clean and jerk with even half of this weight requires years of training.
I deadlift 2kg less than this for the first time a few days ago and it took every ounce of my being. My back, two days later, is still sore and my CNS is fatigued. For Lasha to be able to just toss this above his head effortlessly is truly incomprehensible.
I wouldn’t call this lift effortless. In order to clean and jerk and snatch heavy weight you have to lift with speed which gives the appearance of the attempt looking easier than it is.
As ridiculously impressive as this lift is-his 225kg snatch is in my opinion the most impressive lift done with a barbell-to move 495lbs with such strength and speed to be able to snatch it is otherworldly

The moment after this was so bizarre. Getting 2 red lights but the jury immediately overturning the decision and giving him a good lift. Not that this situation hasn’t happened before but usually the jury takes some time to review the lift on a monitor. If I remember correctly they didn’t feel the need to review the attempt.
Yeah it's so crooked. I definitely think Lasha made the lift, but seeing him be given goat privilege was surreal. Weightlifting jurors are full of shit. Three whites should be protected from jury overturn, and we need to kick out the press out rule immediately.
