It is a mystery, why is everybody in this church standing up? Is it a kind of tribute to a diseased ? Is this a funeral? Still, after listening to her for many many times, I think I am in love with her. Or am I just jealous? What a wonderful performance, this is Bach at its most powerful!
She must have an amazing ability to concentrate - being able to play that complicated piece with all those folks standing around staring at her, and waving at times. Hats off to her!! Makes me want to run out and learn it.
Dear Polona! Сongratulations! You made a remarkable recording. Too many organists played this Fugue like virtuoso concert piece. You follow authentic way of Schweitzer and Leonhardt. The most important interpretation matters in this Fugue - the right articulation in Thema 16th's and the right Tempo (not very fast) like on Instruments of Bach's time with mechanical tracture. If you could change on zungen stops in middle section (ms. 51-61) in lower voice you will have a perfect interpretation.
Dmitri A. Dmitriev, I am sorry for my inadequate English. Dmitri, quote: "You follow authentic way of Schweitzer and Leonhardt." What!? Schweitzer - authentic way? No, Albert Schweitzer is far from authentic. He play this fugue too slow. How can I know? Because Bach proove it! The time signature is 6/8, a fast time signature. Bach removed one single note from the fugue subject in the pedal. But why? Because he wanted to play the fugue fast. If he didn't removed the note, it would be almost impossible to play the piece fast. Quote: "If you could change on zungen stops in middle section...." No, we can not change anything in a fugue. A fugue is something different from preludes, fantasias and toccatas.
1:01 one of the best music pages ever written by a mankind's genius (J.S. Bach) !!!!!! Franz Liszt loved this masterpiece so much that he decided to translate this treasure for piano!!!!
Brava. Lo hai fatto a memoria, quindi ancora più difficile. Bach vive ancora grazie anche a te!

Remarquable !!! Une brillante organiste. Bravo et merci. Cordialement. Olivier F
Love to listen to this over and over...fantastic performance!
I wonder whether she became an organist and regularly plays organ now.
I enjoyed this performance much more than many others - maybe because she plays with an uncommon rock&roll attitude!
True😂
maybe even bach today would have played with a "rock and roll attitude" :-)
