Tyler Hoechlin's Superman was a breath of fresh air we needed when we were uncertain of Superman's future. That gave us an amazing new take on Superman and Lois Lane with great new ideas, and yet WB once again was greedy hypocrites. Nevertheless, I am glad the show lasted this long and glad it's ending on a final season that allows us to say goodbye to these characters. As much as I am excited about Superman: Legacy, I will miss this show.

They wanted to do a more realistic, darker portrayal of the character and it didnt really work for a lot of people cause that’s not who Superman is traditionally. Sure over the course of 3 seasons of a show there have been dark moments but it’s not nearly as bleak as Henry’s two and a half movies were. I mean they made him snap a dudes neck infront of a family and really made clear that he killed a lot of people during his fight with Zod. Never felt right to me it’d be like making a light hearted Batman adaptation, sure you could do it and it might be interesting but it ain’t Batman.

I’m really tired of seeing Snyder’s “Jesus” Superman who is this all powerful God, that people have forgotten that Superman is supposed to be a wholesome hero with a dorky Clark Kent behind it. Too much focus on the Super, and not enough on the Man. Remember, this is the same superhero that saved a girl from jumping off a building even when there was a bigger stake in the picture. The same dude that sat with a woman who was contemplating s**cide for several nights before finally changing her mind. That’s what great about Superman; the man that can move planets and solar systems will help get a cat out of a tree for a little girl, and this Superman portrays it super well.

I watched whole 3 seasons in a week, and when i was watching last season i start to feel sad, knowing its ending. Great show, great characters, tyler such a sweet person and actor.

Took me a whole season to get used to Tyler being “Superman”... after watching him for several seasons playing a werewolf in the Teen Wolf TV reboot few years ago. Now Superman’s ending. I thought Tyler did a good job though, in both shows he was a main character in.
Cain was quite good as Clark but I always find him overacted when he was playing Superman. And let's admit it, Hoechlin is a better actor, A LOT BETTER

I’d rather watch Tyler’s Superman than whatever James Gunn is coming out with. I love the family dynamics in Superman and Lois. I think Superman is just better for television than film generally speaking. The movies have a tendency to be gimmicky. Just trying to squeeze cameos and trying to make itself a launchpad for spinoffs. Character development usually is what ends up being sacrificed.
Well i grew up with Christopher reeves. But i do like the storyline they have for each episodes for the show on cw. Bc Superman and lois were able to get twin kids. Who knew. The one with dean cain they only got one son.

Superman & Lois was a good show but it has bad ratings and was way too expensive for the CW. It would have ended this season even without a new Superman movie coming, that's just a convenient excuse. They cut the budget by dumping the majority of the cast for season 4 because the show was clearly not financially viable for the CW.
Back here after the trailer/Doomsday fight clip. I’m so upset it’s ending, but it seems like it’s gonna go on the highest note possible. I’m glad they knew the show was ending before S4 was set, I really trust this crew to deliver a fantastic sendoff for such a perfect Superman cast (and I mean EVERYONE! I’m almost uninterested in a Superman without kids at this point, it adds so many interesting weaknesses to such an overpowered character).

Its not because of the movie universe they trust the public to be able to fathom 2 actors at once it's just that in order to do it justice they can't make it profitable. He threatens Batman a mere mortal with it, he almost kills the JLA (admittedly in a confused state) and thankfully doesn't think twice to eye beam Steppenwolf. An interpretation with more restraint, like the animated portrayal, would go a long way in establishing stakes by having him hold back even when he'd potentially risk collateral damage (to innocents) in the process only for a Supes V Darkseid moment to hit that much harder. Also, you didn't refute my Clark/Superman distinction (or lack thereof) in Cavill. Whether Snyder directed him foolishly to still display bravado rather than lean into the mild-mannered reporter persona or Cavill couldn't hack it, the flaw stands.
"Superman & Lois" has been one of the best live action interpretations of Superman in decades & such a fresh spin on the mythos. To end it early just so they can have another movie theater interpretation take the whole spotlight seems petty. The new movie looks promising but why end a great series for such a moronic policy?
It's definitely the best of the CW DC shows. Maybe that bar isn't high and it still had it's issues but I think they're making the wrong decision to end it. And I agree he's the best CK/SM to get the role. I also really liked Dean Cain's SM back in the 90's. And of course Henry Cavill is amazing too.

Cavill and Hoechlin are my favorite Supermen. Hoechlin’s Superman was what Cavill’s arc would led up to after ZS’s JL.
I’d rather watch Tyler’s Superman than whatever James Gunn is coming out with. I love the family dynamics in Superman and Lois. I think Superman is just better for television than film generally speaking. The movies have a tendency to be gimmicky. Just trying to squeeze cameos and trying to make itself a launchpad for spinoffs. Character development usually is what ends up being sacrificed.

Well i grew up with Christopher reeves. But i do like the storyline they have for each episodes for the show on cw. Bc Superman and lois were able to get twin kids. Who knew. The one with dean cain they only got one son.
I loved all the super man of the past but the most popular was 1950s one, 1970s Chris reeves, small villa klock. 2000 And man of still, and 2018- now superman and Louis Tyler chocking. They all had the body, looks and body of a Superman

Superman & Lois was a good show but it has bad ratings and was way too expensive for the CW. It would have ended this season even without a new Superman movie coming, that's just a convenient excuse. They cut the budget by dumping the majority of the cast for season 4 because the show was clearly not financially viable for the CW.
Bad ratings??? Um Season 1 and Season 3 is highly loved, season 2 was agreeably mid and forgettable. Season 3 is my personal favorite.

Back here after the trailer/Doomsday fight clip. I’m so upset it’s ending, but it seems like it’s gonna go on the highest note possible. I’m glad they knew the show was ending before S4 was set, I really trust this crew to deliver a fantastic sendoff for such a perfect Superman cast (and I mean EVERYONE! I’m almost uninterested in a Superman without kids at this point, it adds so many interesting weaknesses to such an overpowered character).

Sounds like they’re not gonna want a competing Batman either. Time for The Batman Part 2 to be the last we’ll ever see of Robert Pattinson’s Batman. I’m just getting prepared for it. Competing projects are what make them BETTER. WB won’t ever listen to fans or hear us out. It’d be a better idea not to go to any WB movies. And DC should be separate from WB right? God I am so glad they didn’t cancel Smallville when they made Superman Returns. They just gave really shitty perameters on what they couldn’t film.
Its not because of the movie universe they trust the public to be able to fathom 2 actors at once it's just that in order to do it justice they can't make it profitable.
It would've been done after season 3 but the writers teed up the "death of Superman" storyline in order to save money having him missing for prolly 3 or 4 episodes of 4 along with cutting the "main" cast and episode count

He threatens Batman a mere mortal with it, he almost kills the JLA (admittedly in a confused state) and thankfully doesn't think twice to eye beam Steppenwolf. An interpretation with more restraint, like the animated portrayal, would go a long way in establishing stakes by having him hold back even when he'd potentially risk collateral damage (to innocents) in the process only for a Supes V Darkseid moment to hit that much harder.
Also, you didn't refute my Clark/Superman distinction (or lack thereof) in Cavill. Whether Snyder directed him foolishly to still display bravado rather than lean into the mild-mannered reporter persona or Cavill couldn't hack it, the flaw stands.

"Superman & Lois" has been one of the best live action interpretations of Superman in decades & such a fresh spin on the mythos. To end it early just so they can have another movie theater interpretation take the whole spotlight seems petty. The new movie looks promising but why end a great series for such a moronic policy?

To be honest tv show Superman and The Flash are better options than their movie counterparts.
It's definitely the best of the CW DC shows. Maybe that bar isn't high and it still had it's issues but I think they're making the wrong decision to end it. And I agree he's the best CK/SM to get the role. I also really liked Dean Cain's SM back in the 90's. And of course Henry Cavill is amazing too.

But you want to know what makes it so easy for you to start liking Superman. having multiple versions Of him. Cause I'm not gonna lie As a dc fan myself And i'm a huge fan by the way I used to never like Superman. I thought he was lame and kind corny and just kinds way to overpower. But these shows help me look at him in a different light Because there's different versions of him and I feel like that's what the fan base kind of needs to be To be honest. I don’t think the cast deserves to be canned for such a simple reason, but I also respect the decision to keep mainstream eyes on one version of the characters at a time.
In reality the community that watches these movies enough to differentiate a “verse” isn’t large enough to bring the revenue that would be needed for bigger projects.
