Super fun day out with Captain Jeff from Bass Buster Sportfishing!
Started off the day looking For birds working and striper boiling at Castaic Lake, but nothing wanted to play.
After a short run up the mountain to Pyramid Lake, we started our search for some large mouth and smallmouth bass and were quickly rewarded!
While covering water and fan casting, we stumbled upon some shad, and were able to net about 30 pieces of bait!
With a few fish on live shad, we continued our look for a few more bites on artificial before the lake was closed for the day.

Anyway you guys are hilarious and awesome. When you showed that massive striper boil I was like "I'd be running my ass off to that!" then you panned to your friend don't exactly that and I died laughing.

Hahaha I would’ve 100% done the exact same thing if we didn’t have a rental boat waiting on us. I ended up being the nice guy holding the boat while my buddies caught fish lol

It’s so much fun man! When the Shad are just a little bit bigger and can actually swim your line a little better, it makes for such a fun day!
