I was recently looking for a recipe for making the ruisreikäleipä my Finnish mother loves and found your channel. I made the starter and the next day, she died. Don't be sad, she was 94 and had a fantastic life. I finished the breads as part of my grief and it was really lovely. She probably would have told me that they were good, but not quite right! lol My kids and I gathered for a late Christmas and had open-faced sandwiches with Finn Crisp and other traditional stuff - so delicious! No one wanted the sardines, though. Happy New Year!
