I would say when it comes to kit (gear and weapons): Keep it simple During the courses i have done so far, i have seen plenty of people wear or use kit. They do not need or have way to much on, just because they saw someone else have it. And with training: To keep an open mind Again there are too many people coming to a course thinking they already know it, and refuse to listen or do something different because they "already have a right way" There is always something u could learn or maybe see something from a different perspective you never thought about. And during a course is the perfect time to also try something different. What i started doing also since a few years is doing IPSC competition, its not the same as tactical training. But there is a lot of cross over both ways It's a great way of practicing and training.

You can indeed tailor your kit to the course, but we generally try to work with the loadout that works for us for most courses. This to get more experience with the loadout and see where things might need to change, be removed or added. An open-mind is indeed very important which is also why we try to get experience from multiple instructors, tough we have been training at Romulus for quite some days now. ;) Regarding IPSC, we recently also got to know a guy here in Switzerland who is quite well respected in IPSC and he also teaches, so we were thinking of also doings something with him to see what can be learned from that aspect of shooting. Most likely for us that would be beneficial for target acquisition and more precise shooting. Of course this is also something we train on our own, but in the actual courses we did thus far, there isn't too much time to really learn that.

Courses also include a lot of inactive moments due to explanations (Which is what you also go for) but also repeating them due to people who don't get it or sadly don't take it too serious.
Question about the optic setup at 11:48 there's a holo sight as a main then a pistol red dot on the 45 degree. I've seen some guys run this setup when using helmet mounted thermals as apparently one works better than the other for passing shooting. Is that the case here? Or was this just someone else's rifle you were handed? haha
Doesn't that kind of training put you on a police suspect list in Belgium with possible restrictions to be applied? Afterall you still are belgian citizens. And you guys did target focused shooting throughout your training? Most ppl are front sight focused shooters and that aspect in itself adds a new dimension of difficulty to training.

(Also for online shops we couldn't sell certain products because our server was in Belgium, if it was in another country the police couldn't prohibit us.) @@ReconBrothers Don't matter where you do your training in UE. I wanted to go do some training in Serbia at EBSSA and droped the it at that time due to this issue. They are legally obliged to centralize the data with whom participates at their classes, especially civilians. Second part was about target focused shooting I guess. Meaning focus on a spot on your target and look "through" the sights/dot never have the above in clear focus. Its used a lot when doing rapid follow-up shots when you can't effectively track a dot jumping etc.
Well all I can say is that we did these courses publicly and posted them online before getting our own pistols. If I'm not mistake we also put it on our request forms for our pistols that we wanted to do courses. And finally we were able to export and import them without issues. In all of these procedures there are checks and never has this been an issue. (Still isn't) 👌 As for the second part yes we did that quite some times. Usually on seperated target areas to maximize the feedback. When shooting fast the accuracy is often less important. (Obviously you still need to hit the target.)
