North Korea and South Korea both tortured each other, after the Korean War starting from 1951-1953 North & South were both split in 1953, North was more developed, but later onwards South Korea went far & are hundreds of years ahead of North Korea, there is minimal amount of electricity, no internet, constant security checkups, & you have to bow down to your supreme leader of the country etc. the country's dictatorship went down, while South Korea's democratic governance led them up to reach to there current success!
