Phew, this one took a while! Hope it's worth the wait :D I've always loved this soundtrack and especially this track is among my favorites in the whole franchise! I haven't covered it before because I think what drives this song is the bombastic energy of the orchestra and I didn't want to simply transcribe all that to guitar since my guitar chops aren't good enough to cover all that epicness and fullness, so I waited until my orchestrations sounded good enough. I think they do now!
This one's more of a "producer" track than a "performer" track, since my guitar parts are fairly simple and minimal, but that's what I envisioned in my head and I'm super satisfied with the end result. Hope you dig how this turned out!

This is why dynamic music MUST be a thing in boss battle themes. Imagine u pull off a stagger on a boss and start wailing on it with all you got till it drops to about a quarter of its health, it pulls itself back onto its feet and proceeds to go into its enraged/pinch mode, all while the music slowly begins to transition into this rendition.

Thanks man! This game is quite divisive in the fanbase but I personally really liked it! Wish they'd bring it over to current systems and gives us decent PC ports of the Trilogy so I can finish the whole thing for once (only beat the first game)
Yeah, it's called PTSD flashbacks, due to the linear corridors for much of the first half of it.

I think FF6 has the best boss theme in the series, but this one is right up there with the best of the rest, along with FF4, FF8, and FF10. Hamauzu is a master!

this comment right here is how i feel about most guitar video game covers. It doesnt ALL need to be the guitar. part of what makes these tunes so great is how well the instruments compliment each other

I'm finally getting close to finishing that black modern metal/vintage classic strat I was making in your honor Ferdk! I know it's taking a million years but it's finally happening. Put a lot of thought and work and money into it so it better not suck lolz. My soldering skills are not the greatest but I've learned a few things since the last time I soldered up a wiring harness. I think it will be bad ass!
What I need to do already is get a 7 string. Lacey has one... Toxic has one... Jules has one... You got one... I feel so left out lolz.
Thanks mate! This red strat is a little project of mine :) It's a Squier "Contemporary" that was released in 2018/19 and I think it's discontinued now. Originally comes with two humbuckers (yeah, a Strat with HH no kidding!) but I liked the color and got it super cheap on a local store. I bought the gold pickguard to match my upgraded trem Gold Wilkinson, plus Gold Hipshot locking tuners. Lastly, a set of YJM Fury pickups!

There's even a all white made in mexico limited edition standard strat that has triple humbuckers lololol. Looks crazy. It's all gold hardware too. Looks like the white falcon of stratocasters. Sadly they didn't make many and they have become a rare find. Thing cost about 800 at launch a few years back. Now they are 2000 bucks or more : (
Maybe I'll make one that's even better one day haha.
