Welcome or welcome back to my channel! In today’s video I wanted to do a quick comparison of the Polene Cyme Mini and the DeMellier London Midi New York tote. Have both in large version- polene more soft and less formal than Demellier. Two different outfit purposes. Love both

Thank you for watching! ❤️ That is interesting! I have two DeMellier bags currently in my collection. Both had a leather smell when I first got them but I do not find either bag to have it very strong and even if I am by the bags I don’t notice the smell anymore. I am sorry to hear yours has a strong leather smell and it’s s bothering you? Have you had the bag for a while or is it still very new?
@@LuxLover_Karolina hi!! Thanks for responding. I had it for quite some time but only used it twice. I’ve been storing it in the dust bag and in my closet. How long do you think the smell goes away? Like after ten times of using it? Probably I should take it out on sunny days more often!
You are welcome! Yes I think with more use the smell should go away! I didn’t notice the smell anymore on the New York tote after a week of continuous use so that is probably why you still are able to smell that leather smell! Please keep me posted on how it goes and if the smell goes away!

Thank you for watching and for the compliment on my nails! ❤️ I think the quality of the Cyme bag is great! I have used the bag as a work bag and have not babied it at all and the leather has held up beautifully! I am also very impressed with the quality of the leather of the Strathberry and the DeMellier bags so far but have not had them long enough to know how they hold up over time like I do with the Cyme bag, but so far I have been very impressed with those two brands! I will definitely do updates on how the bags hold up and their quality over time!

You are welcome! It is a great bag but I can understand your hesitation especially with the recent price increase and the mixed reviews! I have actually jusy watched a recent review from another RUclipsr talking about the quality lately and had the Neuf in the regular size on my wish list but the price is just too much for me right now to justify with the recent reviews on quality! Thankfully I have been lucky with the bags I have purchased but then again I purchased a lot before the brand started expanding so maybe they are lacking on quality to try to keep up with the demand?
@@LuxLover_Karolina Maybe! It seems quality either in the leather/ customer service isn't what it was. I missed the initial period when all was good I guess. I may chance it but I'm pulled towards getting another bag from Strathberry , I think their bags are beautiful. Thanks for responding Karolina .
I agree! I know in the past anytime I had emailed customer service I really didn’t have too many issues but I will say with my one card holder from them that I ordered recently I had some minor issues with delays for no reason and it took a while for it to resolve. It may be worth trying it! But I agree Strathberry is really such a great brand I’m late to the game on their bags but so far I am very impressed with the quality and do love the unique designs!

How is the Polene Cyme Mini holding up? I'm seeing a lot of negative reviews about the leather peeling after a year and the bag losing its form. People saying it's over-priced due to influencers talking it up and it being marketed as a luxury brand when it's not. Is there a quality difference with the DeMellier New York Midi?
My Polene Cyme Mini is holding up very well but I purchased mine in July of 2022 when the bag was $350 USD. I have not had any pealing issue or structure loss to the mini. However I will say, and I think I mentioned it in my comparison video of the regular cyme and the cyme mini, my regular size cyme dips in on the one side so the bag is not symmetrical which does bother me but that’s the only issue I have had with that one. I feel like since Polene has expanded and gotten more popular they do lack a little in quality from what I have seen as well in other videos. I personally love my DeMellier New York Midi I think the quality is very good and what I like is you can get the bags on sale on like Saks pretty often. I personally have not purchased any new Polene handbags because to me the prices are a little too high for them being a contemporary brand and they don’t offer sales. Not to mention like you stated, I have too seen negative videos on the quality in recent times for Polene which makes it hard for me to justify spending the higher price point on bags that are not holding up like they use to before they got so big

Hello, is DeMellier one heavy?
Hi there! I personally don’t find the DeMellier to be too heavy. I wear it every day for work for weeks now and pack it full and don’t find it to be heavy. For reference the DeMellier weighs 760g while the Cyme Mini is about 625g. I hope that helps!
