God 120mm mortars are so gross.
For the amount of damage it can do in 1 decent hit, its accuracy should be way worse.

imo personaly its accuracy isent that good. or when they reduced the auto attack range you need to put it at range where its more accurate because of it.
He could've given his pzgrens some rudimentary repairs, would've sped up the repairs... Other than that pretty good match!
Anyone know if that orange skin Hans is using is still downloadable/attainable? I've searched for it and I haven't been able to find it. Thanks!

So can someone explain the pros and cons of Panzer grenadiers vs regular grenadiers?
I can see one has mp40s, the other has kar98, one can be upgraded with schrecks, the other with lmgs. one has rifle grenades, the other has bundle grenades. their vet us a bit different too. is that it?
also why didn't Hans get the repair upgrade in them instead if making that second pio?
Grenadiers are your standard frontline infantry, and pretty damn versatile for a standard infantry squad with all their abilities. Usually best for engaging other infantry and holding ground.
Panzer Grenadiers are good as assault troops due to their automatic weapons and the bundle grenades. But the Panzershreck upgrade makes them good as tank killers later in the game if you wanna swap them over.
(at least that's my assessment as a relatively unskilled player)
Just a correction there. Panzer Grens models are all equipped with the STG44, making them very good Short to Mid range. (Pioneers and Assault Grens. are the ones that come with MP40s)
Usually they are a really good unit to make flanks and use at Medium range. When they get G43s they are much more suited to slightly better ranges and on the move attacks.
But the great thing about Pz Grens is that they can do well into late game as Anti-Armor or some minor Anti-infantry/support weapons (Only if you get em Schreks).
But like Hans mentioned there, his opponent started engaging at long range, which pretty much made his choice for an early Panzer Gren squad a bad one. Not to mention he gave his Grenadiers the G43s, which again makes them only better on the move. The LMG 42 would have been better because they can use cover and range to their advantage.
So it's important to asses that before you make your choices on Panzer Grens or to stick to just Grens. Either way, that's one way this game is played....you make do with the choices you've made, and try not to screw up...... although I think not getting screwed by RNG is another thing ahahahah
P.s. Not too experienced myself, but been watching Hans and other streamers for awhile now....much knowledge gained from them all heh
@@soyzabean555 are you sure this doctrine gives the 5 man grens G43s? it looked to me from the models and unit symbol that they get 2 stg44s making them more like volks.
also it looked and sounded to me like his pgrens have mp40s like pioneers. although I assume they do more damage with them
@@jackobrien47 Sorry about that, dont know why i said G43s lol.....I keep encountering them every time I play against Axis...of course more OKW than OST. But yeah that was the issue with the choice to give em
STG44s, can't really dish out the long range capability Grens are usually designed for.
Also nope, Pz. Grens get STG44s by default man. You can try looking it up.
You mentioned the 120mm mortar being banned? What happened to it, and where is it banned?

5 men isn’t worth it imo. Gain a bit of survivability against tanks but loses 1/3 of effective range so you actually bleed more in infantry fights. G43 is better at run anyway and gun and G43 commander also gives cloak and sprint more often than not.

At 9:45 you mentioned the ban of the 120mm, what is this ban?
What about Stormtroopers? Any thoughts about them?
Maybe could have worked. Would have been better than those PGs that did nothing tbh.
@@HelpingHans The PGrens did end up killing the T70 and helped stack damage on the T-34-85 during a dive at one point. Still, any other option would have probably done better and been safer/less manpower-draining.
@@justmonika2345 later on they helped but early on they did not and just bled me.
@@HelpingHans P grens were fine, it was the lack of LMG grens that hurt you the most. Pgrens perform best next to vehicles mate, thats what they are for. The aura they get at vet 1 makes them hard to kill when fighting alongside a vehicle. Also while I'm commenting on your post, how come I've never seen you use the half-track camo/radar ability? as much as I see your halftrack re-inforcement play i'm surprised you don't ever turn it on, it costs nothing and has no cooldown time to move after turning it off and you can reinforce while cloaked. Clue me in?
