The iron sledge I consider mandatory for initial forays into the Mistlands, and is also extremely useful for your contemplated Sealed Tower expedition, both for killing things around corners, and for harvesting all the iron from the window bars etc. There's really quite a lot of iron available in those towers.
Tasty meads are much underappreciated, imo.
You can build a roof over the bridge to protect it from the rain. Historically, while critters *can* attack the roof portion of the bridge, they very rarely do so its less of a maintenance chore than repairing the rain damage in my experience, plus it looks nice.

You're on the right track with leveling your blocking skill, Waffles. But the best is actually go into a burial chamber, agro all the skele bois, and then get yourself in a choke point where they're all in front of you and just block. You can get crazy high level in no time

I like this base layout, I usually don't do the "outdoor style layout" and put everything inside a large building lol
That's my normal mode too but I'm starting to really like the idea of fort builds!
32:04 When it comes to mods, this is always a consideration for me. I always think about 'backwards compatibility', in regards to whether things will still exist if I load this world in vanilla.
It's an important thing to think about
@glitchy the dirty Hoe is fine to use in base and outposts. It’s totally op in the field lol. I once only used it to Run for my life lol. Just so you know, don’t use it so much near mountains like to dig them out. Once you go back in without mods the game will respawn it the mountain you chipped away and destroy everything you build. @ waffles, Ma dude, Pure unadulterated madman, chaos is all you brother. I put the episode on mute and used captions. I put Ragnarok by Peyton Parrish and hour plus and boy all ur fights were epic. Love you guys, awesome work. I can’t wait for a modded run series.

Setting up a Draugr village farm might be a whole lot safer to try and pick up a elite trophy or two. I just happened to be setting one up today, ran 600 wooden bolts through the old Vine Crossbow (made from Elder bits via Valheim Armory), raised my skill to 27 and got 5 elite trophies, no mess no fuss...well there was a bit of a mess on the floor. I'm fixing up the rest of the village as part of my chill and kill program. You might have too much LeRoy in you though for that kind of playing, I dunno.
Generally anything manufactured/created by a mod goes away if the mod is suddenly absent. Even Better Lanterns, which is a great mod, doesn't degrade into normal lanterns again, they're just gone without the mod.

Dirty hoe seems like a cool mod for base building! Not quite vanilla but you guys been to Ashlands! You earned a few tweaks!
Yeah it's definitely a bit less vanilla but it feels reasonable for easy home care

Indeed, if there is a "perfect" vanilla difficulty mode for advanced players using vanilla weapons, it is hard difficulty. Having tested and played extensively (except for jewelcrafting, for some reason that never appealed to me at all), nothing is as good as CLLC with settings kinda between hard and very difficult with special effects on and I love Valheim Armory as mentioned before of course, though now there may be a little configurat'n to do to both mods to get them just right. Also there is still a gap between Mistlands and going to Ashlands; it's like we're missing a gear here; what happened to 4th? We went straight from 3rd to 5th! That's on the developers though, they should choose one spawn rate and stick to it. I wouldn't mind everything coming up to Ashlands levels either, it's the big gap I mind because it's really tough to set a custom difficulty that fits all biomes. I hate having to back it off for the Ashlands just because it becomes overwhelming otherwise.
I really need to mess with CLLC and armory looks perfect.
Glitchy: I give zero craps about you using the Dirty Hoe for base building. Raising land is expensive in terms of stone. If it was 1:1 for raising/lowering, it would be different, but you don't get enough stone digging to justify the cost of raising.
Imho, using mods to make things nice in the game, is not 'cheating' (getting an upper-hand against anyone/thing). Upgrading weapons which does give an advantage and is ok, so using mods is just quality of life.
Mods for 3d models ...the 3d models will be gone in vanilla...and mods that change terrain limits ...the terrain will be funky when you play vanilla
