(+) means the game has a Plus or DX version released on platforms marked with a "(+)" next to it, or this Plus or DX version is released only on platforms marked with this.
The Plus or DX version itself is just a minor update of the game (eg adding costumes, optional dungeons, NPCs into playable characters, or merging multiple DLCs, etc).
But specifically for the games "Atelier Rorona Plus: The Alchemist of Arland and New Atelier Rorona The Alchemist Of Arland" both games are a remake of Atelier Rorona: Alchemist of Arland games.
(Ver1.3) This version is the same as the Plus or DX version, except that this game was only released on the Sega Saturn Console.

Thank's for watching
Holy cow. I only saw the latest Atelier Ryza games on Steam and had no idea this series have such a long, rich history! So excited for the remake of the first game!
Really can't blame them for luring new players in with thighs if that's what it takes, this series is so slept on
I remembered going home from school in the afternoon to play Atelier Iris 1 and 2, and Mana Khemia. Love those days!
The music in theses games was so good!
Atelier Marie-Lulua: must be cute at all costs!
Atelier Ryza: ㄒ卄丨匚Ҝ乇尺
Meanwhile on Atelier Sophie:
*LEON'S CLEAVAGE*
My first introduction to this amazing series was through Mana Khemia 1 when a friend recommended I play it. From there, I went to Ar Tonelico + Atelier Iris 2 at the same time and man, I'm so glad I got into this series. It's very relaxing and perfect for de-stressing.
Yaaaassss!!!
Thats basically the height of this series, it all went downhill after Rorona.
@@ZillaTheTegu notnecessarily some prefer the fluff fluff relax others prefer the cool relax i think both directions are good in there own way, though i agree a little because i do also prefer the predecessors of rorona .
same my series to enter this francise is mana khemia. and the last game atelier inplay is logily and escha. want to play ryze but...... man been so busy
@@Kindi001 I know exactly what you mean, and what a coincidence. I actually started a Logy and Escha run like a month and a half ago, but I haven't been able to continue because of year-end work so I'm literally in the same boat as you are.
Also trying to play older Atelier before I play Ryza because Ryza's alchemy reminds me of Mana Khemia a tiny bit
From humble beginnings to thighs.
from humble beginnings to reaching the 34.
Because the thighs, now Gust is famous
That thighs become so big from carrying the entire franchise
😂
Atelier Iris Trilogy and Mana Khemia 1&2 are still my favorite of this game serie. The character, story, and music are so good. 😁
Love mana khemia
i like them too i grown up on them after all. lets see if we have similar opinions too. out of 3 atelier iris games the 2 one is the most boring Yes or No
@@merunask.9640 I guess you want a "yes", but Atelier Iris 2 is my favorite. I really liked the "dual story" feature. A lot of peope seem to really dislike Atelier Iris 3 and his minimalism vibe, but I really like all the secret in each dungeon. For me, the most "basic one" it's Atelier Iris 1. 😁
ドットからドスケベに進化するとは
いやはや……
i agree
Started with Rorona and followed it up with Totori and Meruru. Mana Khamia 1 and 2 were gems as well.
Damn, I remember playing manakhemia, then Ar tonelico, then the Atelier Iris trilogy...
Then started Atelier Rorona and remember being disappointed with it. Makes sense since it's so different from all Gust games I played previously but it eventually grew on me and I finished all the Atelier games from Rorona onwards.
So tempting to get into this world... but I don't think I'm gonna make it out alive.
Just take a sip of it before venturing further XD. I've tried Atelier Iris 1-3, Atelier Annie, and Mana Khemia 1-2. Gotta say enjoying most of them.
Good luck if you decide to try them all!
@@renseiryuu that's what the dealer said
every time a gameboy and DS versions came out, it feel like we went 10-15 years into the past in terms of quality
How is that surprising? Handhelds have always been 10-15 years behind home console technology
My first one was Annie on the DS, good times.
いずれはライザのグラですらちょっと古いなんて言われる日が来るんだろうなぁ
Now all we need is a rework of the Salburg games
Me looking at 1997: oh damn, that actually looks really good
2000 GBC: P I X E L
Well, it's the GBC's fault more than the maker, in my opinion, based on other games I have played on it
黄昏、不思議シリーズあたりのグラが一番好きかも
Totori is still my favorite in the series it was the one I played the most and I loved all the characters and the music
The PS2 era is what got me into Atelier series
マリーのアトリエやったなぁ〜。
桜瀬琥姫先生のキャラクターが魅力的でした。
i like the atelier ryza combat style. guess that's gonna be my first game
I'm glad i still have my Vita. Currently palying Atalier Rorona Plus!❤️
I never knew this series was already around since 1997 lol, thought it was from the early 2010s or something.
I decided to play alot even tho as grow up to be adult as well but cultured, after found ryza series I couldn't stop play the series 🤤
If only there's an English ver of mana khemia 2: fall of alchemy on the psp
Edit: and atelier Annie's intro is so funny haha
There is a PS2 English version that you cam buy, or emulate with a PC. This game is so good. 😁
@@Terranigma23 my pc is crap
Ryza 2's battle system do be looking like FFXIII
The aspect ratio is all wrong, and why the hell not use the Sega Saturn version to show how the first game was envisioned? You want to show where the series began, but you put the PS2 remake/remaster as the very first choice. What a terrible decision.
well luckily it looks like most of the games i can emulate lol as the games are super expensive
4:25 nice music by the way
Atelier iris eternal mana was a legend... we need atelier iris eternal mana part 2
faltou mostrar o principal, que era como é feito a alquimia em cada jogo.... mas recebeu o meu like de qualquer forma pelo trabalho.
Does this series have a grudge against slimes or something?
I was expecting that Nelke should be like "Kamen Rider Decade" who can use all previous alchemist power but it turns out that she is not an alchemist, which is quite surprising
I am not fan of the "could use every powers" type...
2007 huh. Been that long for me
I fantasize about a world in which RUclipsrs pay attention to aspect ratios
i still love the music and sfx on gbc games. classic. not saying the games themselves were that great. just reminds me of arcade games.
I only know Atelier because if DOA since they like using some of their favorite female character’s costumes as DLC costumes for the girl fighters lol
Even the 2 Blue Reflection games xD
I hope they remake Iris
I found this interesting, I had no idea this series have been around this long and for many platforms. My first was Iris and didn't even know there was two sequels etc.
same, didnt know it was similar to final fantasy franchise
Same for me I play mana khemia 1 and 2 when i was a kid and couldn’t beat the game because I don’t understand english. Last year i play 1 and 2 didn’t know that it was Atelier game I will buy ryza 1 and 2 now.
Mana Khemia was good and I like the music for the GB games
Same lol, I thought this franchise was relatively new or something.
Early Atelier games had some top notch character sprite work. I'm impressed.
1997 its been a long while since gaming was a thing so ppl had the time to work on good sprites
They’d look even better if this dude hadn’t stretched every one of these games to 16:9
All those years to achieve those thighs! A great work!
now this is what you call fucking cringe.
@@Puchinbola you clearly playing wrong the game
ngl I hate ryza's thighs
Small step for anime waifus, Big leap forward in human progress
@@Puchinbola not liking thighs is pretty cringe ngl
It would be so cool if, that for Atelier’s 25th anniversary, Gust releases a collection of all the Salburg games, both spin-offs and mainline entries, all in English.
:)
I wish they'd do something similar to what the SaGa series just got.
5 months later and they have announced Sophie 2 for the 25th anniversary
sophie tho ♥
Atelier marie remake lol
Poor punis, they exist on multiple worlds just to be beaten up and get their flesh used in alchemy
Puni Jelly Recipe - Honey x2. ( Puniball) x2 (Water) x1 (Neutralizer) x1.
but we dont find them in dusk universe 😊
@@vkobevk To hell with the impending doom, the lack of punis is what's truly terrifying in this world.
I remember being introduced to franchise on the Ps2 by Mana Khemia since then I began to to find away to play Every game
I played that on my PSP. Didn't know if was part of this series.
Same here!
@@RexZShadow same! I loved Mana Khemia on psp and didn't know about the Atelier series or that it was part of the series at all. Wish I'd known though haha
Holy hell, that's a crapton of Atelier games before my first ever one Rorona.
i tell you if you have time play atelier iris 1 or 3 ( 2 one is boring don't recommend ) and mana khemia series and you understand how much you missed out
Possibly the most underrated RPG series ever.
More ppl need to know about it.
We must spread the word to all RPG players. Onward my friend!
share with everyone! give good reviews! Together we Strong!
The plot feels very childish imo
All the weebs people already knew it.
I got excited when I first found out about these games last year but then got sad because its turn based.
昔のアトリエも今風にリメイクしてくれたりしないかなぁ
Evolution of thicc
Due the succes of Atelier Ryza, Koei Tecmo should do two things
* Remake the old Atelier Games with improved graphics
* Translate to spanish all new Atelier games
Or do a gacha with the atelier universe :v
- they dont give a sht for spanish language, even english will be a common in this time bc is easy to learn the basics to play
- most time remakes give a bad reputation bc is a sign of no creativity
Atelier series is also one with a long story.
Glad that people acknowledge games before Ryza series.
Atelier games is niche in the first place, no wonder ryza kick in when it first released with new battle ans alchemy system and of course, those thighs
I know right I into this series due to meruru.
atelier iris 1-3 and mana khemia 1 have amazing story
Very sad that only the most fanservicey game got any recognition outside japan.
At the very least, it attracted attention to the rest of the franchise.
It did make me a little upset that Ryza was really the only game to really get recognized that way.
Ironically, if I'm not mistaken, she was the only one to make the return as the playable MC in a direct Sequel?
Not sure how Iris played out, so someone can correct me on that.
This makes me really want to play the older games ^^
maybe one day GUST and Koei Tecmo will do a remake for them
@@goukenslay7555 well they do sophie 2, so after ryza 3 i am not surprise if they made a remake of atelier marie, they probably look at capcom and square enix with resident evil 2 and 3 and ff 7 remake 😊
This franchise before 2010. Wow. Great mechanics and interesting spells.
This game from 2010: how much fanservice do you want, sir?
Me: Y E S
The fact that he used swimsuit skins for no reason in an evolution video is beyond me. He should've used the default skins
@Oradimi agreed. This ruined the whole evolution video by showing how perverted the uploader is.
played mana khemia 1 and 2 - best games ever
True true, childhood memory right there
Love them ❤️
man of culture
How much this saga had changed is intriguing, more so when i found out that Atelier iris 3 which was my first introduction to the saga was an Spin-off to a much bigger world.
Atelier Iris 3 is part of the main line of games actually, not a spin off :3
@@mewimi oh really? I mean it was completely different from the main series that I always considered as such, well tolenico and mana khemia are more of an spin off than number 3
Mana khemia is also main series@@MyNameisRevenant

My first PS2 JRPG is Mana Khemia: Alchemist of Al-Revis, second is Mana Khemia 2: Fall of Alchemy
One of my favorite jrpg
これからもずっと続いてほしいタイトルではある
Such a shame the atelier games barely ever drop in price
cuz the game is now appeal to the weebs. look at the animation xD
Dang these sprites from the ps1,2 and GBA are phenomenal!! Cute, detailed, charming as heck. Would love to play these on switch!
The music is great and I want all their games on Switch too
wow... Too bad there is a lot of games only at japan
Knew about the Atelier games from the mid 2000s during the PS2 era when reading a multiplatform gaming magazine, but didn't play them until I got a PS3 simply because I never had a PS2 or even a PS1 back in the day.
So I got all 3 Atelier Rorona/Totori/Meruru of Arland games and was finally able to enjoy them.
Good to see that the series still goes on but I am concerned about Tecmo Koei's possible censorship in future titles considering the state of the games industry at the moment amongst the larger Japanese companies who want to chase for that Global Audience as it can ruin what made Japanese games so special in the first place.
Azoth of Destiny, Grand Phantasm, and Mana Khemia are the only games in the series I played.
1. AoD introduced me to the fun of Alchemy.
2. GP's battle however is a letdown in terms of story but the battle was fun.
3. MK series however is my favorite with a balance of story, battle, and alchemy.
Note: I like to jump and down (for no particular reason) during exploration in these games.
Yup, Mana Khemia is rare and fun among Atelier Series
Out of all Atelier series, I find Atelier Iris 1-3 as oddity, since they're the only release where you didn't actually use "Iris" as your main character. Atelier Iris 1 and 2 in particular also feel more shounen-like (3 feels like it's back to its root) where they go on an adventure all over the place, while the rest of the entry (as far as I know) are focused on the area around the MC's atelier.
And yes, Atelier Iris 2 is the first one I played, continued by the first, and then the third as well. Damn, and they also feel like the ones most resonating with me XD
トトリから始めたけど…
ライザってこんなに戦闘のテンポ早いんか…
I never knew that they ran Rorona and friends through the Chibi Compactor...
Sadly, it's very far from the most awkward design and gameplay choices they made in this game. Having to expend HP for literally anything in this game limited your choices a lot.
Wow. HP consumption instead of stamina...
@@SunsetArchon Yeah, it wasn't a very good idea. They fixed it in the relaunch on PS4 and Steam and introduced a mana bar.
Some of the most insane combo's and attack can be found in the mana khemia series. Very under rated game. I highly recommend playing it. Even final fantasy cant match the attack gameplay.
Word up! These other rpg make me bored of fighting but Mana Khemia made me feel like I was out for blood! I wanted to land these sick combos.
Kinda shame, i play a lot of ps 1 & 2 , gba and family computer games when i was a kid and this is the 1st time I heard this game. Well thanks to the current Atelier phone game which Resna and the gang resides 😎, i was able to research it's rich history
元々キャラゲーの感じは強かったけど最近のアトリエはなぁ…
ちょっと媚びすぎじゃないですかねぇ
The sprites from the earlier games are adorable and impressve. I have the artbook that introduced me to the Ateliers before the Araland Trilogy. Hope They'll get more attention.
You can clearly see how old JRPG didnt have the need to sexualize their female characters. I kinda miss the the artstyle of old JRPGs from the PS1/PS2 era.
Yh...
Since the very beginning...
Look at the design of Marie in the first game. For someone who talks about clearly looking at something, you cant for some reason.
You guys will yap about anything it seems
no puedo creer que no haya casi ningún juego traducido al inglés. Las versiones de GB son verdaderas joyas del rpg, me recordaron a la saga de summon night craft
Atelier Iris Series, Mana Khemia & Ar Tonelico were so good. I really hope they'll remake it one day.
Blah. It looks like a lot of earlier Atelier games were Turn Priority games (like Shadow Hearts 2 and 3, or FFX). I tried Ryza and didn't really like it that much, I don't like having AI controlled party members, and I would have preferred the turn-based or even ATB combat. I wish Ryza coulda been more like those games.
ff xiii!
Wow- this video must have taken lots of effort to make! Thank you for showing us this!
PS- I was the 1000th view 😊
I played Mana Khemia on PSP when I was younger and I never knew it was part of the Atelier series.
the japanese reception was so negative they removed "Atelier" from the western release name

Thank goodness I got Atelier Ryza 1 and 2. I just got loose to it. Love the Atelier series games.
i love how the end it just goes full shouting.
Atelier Iris is my first PS2 games! Nostalgic. And Mana Khemia has always been my favorite games
I haven't even heard of this game franchise prior to this video... Anime girls in thumbnail really do have the ultimate power
Yeah
Atelier Ryza is probably their magnum opus, battle system wise
It's a shame that so many games never came over, i would have liked to have played some of those older titles.
Of the ones I played, I remember the Iris and Mana Khemia series so fondly. And then there's Annie, which was just a nightmare for time management for me...
Atelier Sophie still has the best battle ost

I'm happy that my first exposure to the Atelier series was through Atelier Iris 1.
Playing that game with my window-A.C. made the experience so comfortable when I was a toddler.
sadly that one of my most favorite jrpg series slowly turn into more of a soft p*rn game after the transition between 2d to 3d, mana khemia was my last good memories with this series..
I didn't realize how recent some of these games were or how big of a deal the Arland Trilogy was, but it really set the stage for a full decade of Atelier, at least until Ryza came along. Too bad they stopped dubbing the series, cause it's burst in popularity probably would've been even better had they kept it (and it'd be a lot easier to convince people to give a chance). The trilogy releases of the recent games hold up really well though and make for easy recommendations to people who have those doubts for sub only games
english dubs are always cringe, glad they stopped doing them
@@ダニエル-x5d Sure thing Daniel. Glad they stopped adding more optional content to games that would increase the number of people who would be willing to play the games and make it more accessible for people who prefer even bad dubs over a subtitled experience. So much justice is done in removing that content.
@@Chronoflation Dubs are not free though. If they think the additional funds for dubbing does not return enough sales to justify it, it only makes sense that they'd drop it.
@@Yuxkta Yeah, but I think they could've brought it back with the surge of attention they got with the Ryza trilogy. I'm not saying that they have reasons to not dub that don't make business sense. I just think there is always a long-term benefit to appealing to more people that they can't do without one. May cost more in the short-term and knock off a bit of profit, but it could be long-term beneficial to at least do an English dub. I'd understand not wanting to do all of the EU languages since that's such a broken up market, but English makes enough sense with how big the US market is alone, not to mention UK and Australia. I think the series actually sells the most in the US these days, so it'd make sense to appeal more to your largest audience.
I'm pretty decent at making company marketing plans because I focus on long-term growth over short-term gain. The series really is getting more attention than ever before, so they should now capitalize on that attention and start dubbing while they can, I think.
Japanese voices sound 10x cuter to me and enhance my enjoyment! I've never switched to jp manually, but when I get english subs for a crazy cool game I'd otherwise, never get to play, it's so hype.
This series is so fluffing incredibe.
Bruh stop trapping someone
❤️ ❤️
Wasnt there an altier game with a living doll and a princess witch for ps1?
Sophie is the one with the doll
Man those GB sounds so fucking nostalgic, never played it tho
I tried to get into atelier series by playing Meruru entry on ps vita and I felt I wasn't ready to get used years ago...and this year when purchased few atelier games on sale, it got me thrilled by plating ryza. I'm having a blast! Love the battle system and crafting now!
Now, watching this video, I realize how awesome all ateliers are despite of scary time limits, I noticed that Punis was always a fellow monster that accompanied ateliers for years until now lmao. I wishlisted the very first atelier game
Oh man, the thumbnail alone make me better perceived the evolution in computer graphics than any of other evolution videos did.
Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana was the only one I played and when I saw it show up in the video, the video itself wasn't even at the halfway point!
I recommend the Arland Trilogy release for a first step into more modern games. Totori will feel a little old, since the first entry, Rorona, was remade using a similar style to the much upgraded Meruru, the final entry, but it otherwise is really a great entry point for a great price, since you basically get $10 off each of the games with the trilogy, and if you get it on sale, all the better
i notice iris 2 and 3 is the same too, but i think its kind of a pattern of these type of videos as i've seen some other example from final fantasy series
I think the purpose of it is to let the audience have a general look to the series, going through the whole game just for a few seconds of clip sounds too time consuming for making a video
Eternal Mana is my very first atelier and this brings back alot of memories :D
From 8-bit to ALL THICC
Wish they released Iris trilogy and the 2 Mana Khemia on switch.
Oh my God yes. I would buy that immediately
Or on Playstation consoles. Instabuy! They a my favorite JRPGs of all time. My first game in series was Iris. Play all of them since then.
Mana Khemia is the best
BARREL!!!!!!
I like the art in the first one - too bad not much is shown here.
To bad that this Vid shows more Of the battles and less of the Alchemie what the selling point ist but i understand Alchemie is a LOOOOONG progress in Each game
