I've been a music junkie since I was 5. I'm 72. I have lots of "favorite" genres - doo-wop, motown, british invasion, beach music, psychedelic, punk, new wave, rock, alternative. I feel like we've been in a dry spell for a couple of years, then this happens. Love it.

I don’t why people are saying this isn’t real country, this man is more country than some people. I saw a comment telling him to, “Go Back to Oakland or where ever he came from.” That’s clearly racist if he’s not country then most of your favorite white artists aren’t. The message, the lyrics, everything about this guy and his songs are amazing. People are just mad that they’re seeing a black person in country doing it better then their favorite white country artist, just because he’s not like other black artists with strippers, smoking weed, and flexing his money. He should be accepted in this community as much as everybody else. Shaboozey you deserve the fame and you deserve a Grammy.

This is so wild, a bunch of this was filmed near my hometown. The place at 0:32 is near a somewhat popular swimming place when I was younger. And the place he's walking at at 2:30 is a road a lot of us kids drove on growing up. Weird to see some of this in a music video since so much of it is unknown to the rest of the world. This song feels oddly like home, especially paired with the visuals from a place I no longer get to see.

That town is a little town called Dixon in Montana and that big green building in the background was called The Dixon Mercantile (now called Hand Me Down). It was a restaurant and community center that my wife built from the ground up and it’s absolutely wild to see it in this video! Love the song 1:24

I was in a very dark place several years ago. When you are fighting against a lack of hope, realizing that you are causing the people you love some immense pain can drive you even deeper into that pit. No, there are some people who do not. It is easy to find the studies. Some people ARE completely alone. Please don't turn a blind eye to people who have treatment-resistant depression and just write off their problems with "it'll be fine one day". Two weeks ago I got a call about a patient who was no longer with us and had tried to make sure he left this world for over 50 years before succeeding. Know what his note said? "To all those who said it would get better, better would have been letting me choose not to live this miserable life for 50 more years"
