Such power and gentleness in both of them making their shared vulnerabilities such an intimate story. I am a sucker for these sorts of relationship portrayals only because I know while rare, they do exist. Raw. Authentic. Adult. Conscious. A connection that you finally stop resisting with judgment & practicality and just let go and allow the love to flow. To date, their love scene is one of the most beautiful, intimate, passionate scenes I've ever seen on screen. We were all so fortunate to share in such an insane chemistry between these two. I turn to this video and song if my heart ever needs a little jolt of inspiration or connection. LOVE Walt & Vic!
These two very talented actors brought everything to the table in their scenes together. It’s the rarity of moment that Diane Keaton described experiencing in making “Reds” with Warren Beatty where the scene is so real the actors are responding to the reality of the moment and have real feelings for each other. I don’t know how they do it without actually falling in love with the other person. It is acting of course, and allowing for vulnerability on screen, and knowing that the other actor might not respond as expected. It’s generous of both actors. And very lovely to watch.

I love Longmire and I knew I would deeply miss it. I purchased each season as it was available . I watch the episodes from the beginning and I wish it lasted longer.
Another great compilation and I absolutely love this tune, along with the series ender by Lord Huron, Ends of the Earth. Only recently discovered Longmire and binge watch it all and now have gone through a second time. I thought the building tension between Vic and Walt was done well and the ending was great.
That's kinda the point of everything you love someone so much you don't think you can live without them, music perfect..for all the love we left behind you can have mine.

I wasn't happy about them coming together...It just didn't feel right..Then most of all they didn't stay...Very sad ending for me.. I love the show ...wish we could make it a dream and then Start over
Marianne Maher they are together in the books. In the tv show they stay together. Walt retires and Vic moves in with him. She is sitting on his porch in casual clothes when he goes to spread Lucian’s ashes and seek the hidden treasure.
They do stay together. When he goes off to find the treasure Vic is living there. I liked the ending, and I was really glad they got together, I just think it would have been more believable and in character if Walt would have stayed part-time as sheriff and trained whoever was the new Sheriff. One part I found deeply unrealistic is when he said he didn't love the job of Sheriff. He so did! Hated to see Branch die, he and Walt had a sort of father son relationship where Branch could never really live up to or please the father, but was always trying to.... But at the end Branch followed Walt and his values and rejected his real father. They should have had more of a moment where Walt acknowledged Branch. He was a decent and honorable guy.
It’s rare for actors to have this kind of chemistry on screen. Think of all the shows you’ve seen where the characters were thrown together but did not feel right. The casting directors did a great job picking the right actors for the roles. The Native American cast was terrific. Peter Weller was terrific as Lucian. Lou Diamond Phillips. On and on. Did Walt retire because the strain of his job was too much for Vic to bear? Once they committed to each other his job was always going to be a worry for her. But she remains deputy? I imagine they have a child together since Vic seems to want that. And how does that affect his other relationships? Cady? People make comments about the age difference but sometimes people fall in love for the right reasons, age be damned. And there was always an undercurrent of longing between them from the start. Can’t say retirement will work for Walt. This kind of work was in his blood. The actors are older and so are the fans, but we want the stories to continue.
