Amazing that Jakob took on this wonderful project, and smacked it out of the park. This was a magical time on the planet. I feel so fortunate to have been a tiny part of it… I agree Jade’s voice is really good…
How could anyone watch and listen to that and not fall completely in love with Jade Castrinos…? Wow, this person in this performance is exactly the definition of what great music can do. Watching someone who is singing with pure unadulterated joy and simply nailing it…. oh I’m just rambling now, I’m off to listen again…
Sorry, I think this Jade person looks a little crazy, whoever she is. She has a beautiful smile, though. Good singing, too, and nice emotion. But all the swaying back and forth is rather bizarre, looks more affected than felt.

ONE OF THE BEST DOCUMENTIRES I HAVE SEEN TO SHOW PEOPLE THE EFFECT AND MUSIC OF THE 60-70'S. I AM IN MY 70'S,BUT I STILL ROCK AND ROLL, BUT MUCH SLOWER.
Jade used to be with Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros. She suffered with addictions & that led to Rehab...She looks so healthy & radiant! She is full of joy & wow those vocals!
No doubt!!! She is incredibly underrated and Dylan always seems to give an interesting spin on the covers he records, while being respectful to the original and not “interpreting” the song. This was by far my favorite in the doc.
I am obsessed. The music of the sixties ... it is shocking to me that I would feel this passionate about it, but respect to Jacob Dylan for everything!!!
I really loved this documentary, I bought it. I have watched it loads of times and I love the music in it. I was born too late. I would have loved to have been around when all this great music was going on. Well, I was born, I think I'm around the same age as Jakob. But too young to appreciate it. Though my mother played a lot of 60's music when I was a kid. I love all their vocals. Jade is amazing, Norah Jones has the voice of an angel, Regina Spektor is wonderful and Fiona Apple is so captivating.
I just watched Echoes in the Canyon last night with my husband. Great, great show and brought back so many incredible memories for us both. Everyone was amazing, but I especially enjoyed these two!
That’s the part where I unexpectedly broke into tears. This song has always meant so much to me, and having been a huge Jade fan from the Magnetic Zeros, I watched this with high expectations. Even still, didn’t expect the power of Jade’s vocal to move me the way it did.
@@Ralphanthonybianscomusic it’s incredible isn’t it! Music has always done the same thing to me through out the years! I totally understand you saying you unexpectedly broke into tears. That’s the power of music, and Jades voice possesses that power!
There was a funny scene in the documentary Echo In The Canyon where Jakob Dylan is interviewing David Crosby. David mentions The Byrds working on Mr. Tambourine Man, when David says "Dylan walks in" to hear the rehearsal. Jakob goes to David "Which Dylan??" David gives Jakob a sideward glance and says "Bob..Bob Dylan".
The delightful Jade totally crushed this song and I am pretty sure it could not have done it any better. How can we not fall in love with her? And Jakob Dylan has a cool, kind and humble vibe that makes his singing voice all the more spectacular. Count me in as a fan of both.
Jakob Dylan in his own way is such a class act and Jade Castrinos OMG what a voice? The original is already so amazing and then this. It's like how is this cover humanly possible? What a compliment to Michelle Phillips. We are all left awestruck. Yeah! Right?
I decided to watch this video because I love the original by The Mama's and The Papa's. Blown away by this Jade Castrinos. Amazing voice, so distinctive. Beautiful ❤️
I absolutely love Jade Castrinos’ voice and delivery of this song. The documentary tells the backstory of this song which Michelle Williams was so gracious to share. I love this video, the documentary, and this song which keeps playing in my head in a good way.
I cannot think of another person who has such a clear, strong voice & can tell shes passionate about what she's singing ❤...who else could give me goosebumps hearing her sing like cass Elliot. No comparison, but she carries this so amazingly, just her!! Love you Jade ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Listen close - at 1:40 this song switches from Jakob and Jade to the original Mamas and Papas version..... I really think that the cover was wonderful and Jade did great - I particularly loved the way she does the line "don't foll-ow" - in the original the note in second syllable of "follow" goes up a semi-tone - in Jades version she drops the "-ow" down a semi-tone and the effect is completley unexpected, unusual and to my ears brilliant. But as much as I love Jade - I have to say that the star of this song and the entire documentary ("echo in the canyon") is Jakob - the guy is totally coooool as ice - much cooler than his pretentious dad imho.
