WoW I just found your and Simons channels, it is now 2023 going to 2024. You so remind me of my family. I will not go into details. Thank you so very much. Merry Xmas .
I will give up all the palaces, sports cars, all the expensive luxuries of this life in the blink of an eye if I had them lol, just to live simply and peacefully cook dinners on a fire in the woods somewhere, build little shelters or pitch up a tent, be very proud of yourself Andy because this is the real life that you are living.. Cheers.
Your dinner looked absolutely amazing, I loved your shelter and all of your building, and now you have me inspired to make breakfast tomorrow with pancakes and I’m going to cook up some bacon first and crumble it into the batter. Of course it needs to be topped with lots of syrup lol, love you and your videos, I cannot wait to see what you have next, it is beyond peaceful, and the places you go are absolutely breathtaking.
Loving the new shelter mate! Going to fun watching it grow and evolve. I’m not sure I can forgive the lack of sprouts though, although the pea-gravy was inspired!! Glad the Hunka served you well. 😁 really enjoyed - here’s to the 50k!! Happy Christmas mate!
Watching this during the holiday season and it's so nice to see how humble you are, seeing a goal of 50k subs, 2 years ago - you've done 9 times that number now.. Congrats my friend 😊
Hi Andy, I’ve been following your videos for the past year or so, and now I’m going through your back catalogue. Each one is superbly made and fascinating. Thank you for the effort you put in to these. Thoroughly enjoyable. 👏👏👏👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Like you said with the mixed grill video. I think a Sunday roast and Christmas dinner is a very personnel setup and it's each to your own. To be honest, if it can fit on ma plate I'm havin it!
Very good vid. Love the lights and chestnuts roasting on the fire,......dead on Christmas. Indeed bloody lovely. Man that looks good. Unless you are worried about aesthetics .... roofing tar paper. Yea, I know....it kills the bushcraft ambience but sure will keep the wind out and lengthen the life of the wood.
i would type overnighter bushcraft in search for videos like these, these days my page is full of channels, though i did get my first suggestion of this channel from the low tide sea fort video, which i found very interesting
Holy crap man, lovely meal again! Wish I had those backwoods cooking skillz. Looked fantastic. Love the film styling nwith the camera. Best wishes to you and your family these holidays just in case I forget! Cheers. ATB Patrick
The dinner looked very tasty. The shelter is looking as well. And no gift for yourself after a Christmas breakfast? Merry Christmas to you and see you next year. Keep up the great vids
You have a nice shelter and is expanding it and I hope by now it is fully built the way you wanted it. Your meal is looking nice also and you need a tool to turn over your pancakes and to remove them from your skillet.
Delicious dinner. I know it was delicious because, coincidentally, I just had almost the same thing. Potatoes, chicken breast, peas and gravy. Merry Christmas to you Andy.
Thanks for a splendid English Campcraft Holiday Video! "Chestnuts roasting by the open fire...." (USA Holiday song). This is on my replay list for Christmas Eve. In my parts of the USA, Wells-Lamont gloves are available and I have used them for years. I do wear them out: in the past on stone masonry projects as well as on lumbering and gardening. Thanks for reminding me of them! Bushcraft tools: well...I have a stone mason's hammer and I take it into the woods for driving posts and for helping to split firewood. Not for long-range backpacking but fine for the distances I do these days. We call them 'popovers' and Yorkshire Puddings depending upon our heritage or the recipe source. There is no such thing as 'too much custard!' My view is that tarp is as good as daub, or better if you do not have clay available. Moss is atmospheric and is good for chinking and scouring...but if one does not have that available best to go with what is on hand. We can get Lyle's Golden Syrup in the USA: I would choose that far ahead of McDonald's for my camp cookery.
You can never have too much custard!!!!!Especially if it isnt lumpy!!! Top effort. How did you manage to cook the chicken so well - hard enough on a BBQ without risking not cooking it properly..
This was a real good watch love the new shelter you sparked some good ideas mud would work as chinking if you did it and put a over hang on the back and sides of the shelter to keep it dry it would set solid if you did 90% mud and 10% ground debris iv found you only need a over hang of a foot to keep it dry and your fire in front would dry it rapidly
Love the fairy lights! That dinner looked sooooo good. There can NEVER be too much custard! Happy Christmas Andy. Hope you have a fantastic New Year too. Thanks for some really great videos x x
Just subscribed to your excellent channel after a recommendation from David of Vandemonium. A lot of catching up to do from your previous vlogs, which I'm looking forward to. Happy New Year !

You were at 21k subs at the making of this video. You're at 699k right now , may 15, 2024. You've come a long way, Andy 👏👏👏👏
Lovely. Just lovely. Thank you so much!!!

I'm not convinced that "too much custard" is a real thing. You can never have too much custard. Happy Christmas!
