Because of you, Eli and Kate, I am no longer going on a holiday trip! Instead I have bought a GreenStalk 😂😂😂. Years of pleasure instead of 4 days is a bargain in my mind.
I bought a 5 tier Leaf because of the constant gales here - hopefully less chance of being blown over.

I actually mentioned dehydrating them in the videos, don’t have a dedicated dehydrator as we wouldn’t use it enough to justify the cost or the counter space but we can dehydrate in the air fryer 😁

Always appreciate your teachings and comedy. As a hard of hearing person, I'm challenged by the music in this video however. Narration was soft and background was a bit "obvious." Couldn't hear. Video looks lovely, as usual.

@@eliandkatejust my 2 cents worth in observation of sound on all videos/shows/movies. Sometimes I need to use my headphones and some recordings are not in stereo and that’s odd when only one ear (my bad ear) is getting sound. Some clank on tables, crackle bags, ect and that can be annoying with headphones. My issue is for me to understand a strong accent I need to turn up the volume anyways😂 many Acorn and BBC shows. It’s not just this small bit in your video-I find the professionals who make films are Really bad at adjusting the music or background noise. It’s so loud on some shows/movies I can’t hear the dialog and I’m sure everyone understands that. I can’t go to theaters either as it’s just too loud, which I really don’t miss going anyway I just wish they would get a clue because without dialogue how would anyone know what’s going on 😂.
Thx for being a great listener of your followers 😊

An idea for herb prunings: I fill small bags like jewelry pouches and the like with herbs so they dry out a bit. Then I put them in underwear drawers or in linen closets to keep away critters. If you use storage containers in plastic they get a really funky smell in them sometimes and the herb pouches help with that too.

Ugh, oregano and chives. Love them both, but they are so aggressive. I started spearmint and peppermint and wondered how to keep them all in check. I’m definitely deadheading those regular and garlic chives this year. I love the fragrance of the garlic chives blooms, but the seeds started taking over the asparagus bed and they aren’t easy to pull. I’ve been trying to get oregano out of a flower bed from previous owner. It grew for many years to an impenetrable mat. I’m trying another variety of oregano as the flavor just isn’t there on the Greek variety.

Hi Eli, I was surfing RUclips and watched an episode of Growing a Greener World. The host was reviewing plant pots and he included pots called cow pots which are made from cow manure. I just ordered some from Amazon here in Canada and my roommate wondered if you have heard of these or have tried using them. From Linda Desmeules, Sudbury Ontario, Canada ps we are in zone 4b. Love your videos by the way.

Hi to you both. Ohh Eli I'm the same. I have just harvested a lot of herbs, I make parsley butter, chive butter, garlic chive butter. Wrap tablespoon portions in cling film and leave in the freezer. Great to grab for cooking. Also cheese and chive Scone's are lovely. Put stems of rosemary into fancy bottles of olive oil to give to friend as gifts, you can also do this with your chillies later in the year. I also dry a lot of herbs for winter as they are so expensive. Oh and make pesto with the basil. I like growing red basil too which adds a bit of colour, you can also do basil oil. Lovely to drizzle over pizza, salad and pasta. There is so much you can do with them, I would like to see what you choose to do with them. Take care for now Eli & Kate x

I think they are probably good for small things like herbs and small spaces. I wouldn’t like taking them apart to fix soil every year. I believe I seen they take 1.5 cf of soil for each layer. I have heard they can tip and think they should be tied to a post if kids were present. Of course everywhere in the states we have high winds in severe storms.
