Thank you so much for posting this. The back to my phone had broken and no one in my area could work on an LG phone. I would have had to send it away. This video saved me money and time. Thanks again!!
One thing I suggest as I have been doing phones fix for a while now and have learned through out the time is don't use the metal tool or anything metal to wedge it in the beginning or anytime during the process if your screen or back is not broken already. That is what damages the phone most of the time. What you should do is heat it until your suction cup is able to lift it to enable you to stick the plastic pic in. After that you just use cards or more plastic pick to all the way through. But great job anyways.
In planning to replace the back glass of my phone because I do not like the gray color, This video helps me out looking for a back glass to buy, I have the AT&T version without the breaches
very cool! thanks for the video. I just ordered one. the only model I can find is grey, so Im going to put the illusion sunset back on it. do the new backs come with adhesive gaskets or do you need to buy a tube of adhesive?
Actual instruction starts at ~5:30 by heating and removing the back panel. ~16:00 he finally gets it off. Turns out he bought the wrong back case, doesn't include where he finds correct case that doesn't have button cutouts.
Thanks for the video! You said you normally see iPhones with cracked backs for sale; believe it not in most cases Apple charges more for the back glass replacement than a screen replacement!! Apple uses really strong glue to stick on the back glass making it extremely difficult to remove. So much so, that its actually easier to replace the entire frame instead of just the glass, making it that much more expensive.
Does anybody got the part# for the LG Velvet battery? I know it's a 4300 mAh Li-Po battery but can't find the damn part # to make sure I ordered the correct one
Hi Mark, i accidentally spilled juice on my phone at a concert and my top volume button and it is now sticky, how can i clean this without taking the phone apart?
Hi, thanks for the video, I'm trying to do the same, but I don't find a seller that Kan provide this back cover battery, my velvet is a 4g 910. Hope to hear from you, best regards
Yes it is. I thought that was the whole point of this guys video was to change the battery but I guess he simply wanted to change the color of his phone. Battery in my LG Velvet is defective and only holds a full charge for 6 hours being idle not even used. I really really need to find the part # associated with the battery so I can order a new one.
depends on what type of adhesive you use. if you apply liquid glue especially for phones then you should be good to go. most of the time the adhesive strip which come with the replacement screen are cheap and dont hold the back on properly
@@MarkTBencze The US AT&T Velvet 5G is identical to the Canadian and international Velvet 5G, so the red glass also wouldn't fit on that version. The Verizon and T-Mobile Velvets both have different rear camera placements and a different frame. That means that the red glass can fit on my T-Mobile Velvet :)
Thanks for the video! The guitar pick method and regularly heating the back cover helped me with removing it fairly seamlessly.
Thanks, mate. I spent too much on this phone to have to live with a cracked back glass. It was way easier than I thought.

Fairly certain it was Amazon

Where did you order the cover from.
Ebay. Just make sure you get the correct cover! I do recommend getting the one with the camera glass module already included
@@MarkTBencze cool thanks.
Why you buy a protective case.
It's not that it's for a canadian phone. It's for the 5g phone which I'm going to guess you have the regular version
No it was for the American version. Mine is 5G as well. The American variant was just built a bit differently.
Will a Korean back fit the Canadian one then?

Are you fucking kidding me? LGs own support page tells me I have to unplug the battery to fix my network problem. And I need a heatgun to do it?
