BUT, Sinead suffers from "Chronic Uniqueness" she'd start off breaking your heart with that beautiful voice and face and say some rubbish about something obscure that I have never heard of. It would mess up the flow and I'd feel guilty for something else that I didn't know about. Sometimes, I just want to get lost in her gifts. Couldn't give 2 squirts about her politics. Cheers

See the great performance between Hozier and Annie Lennox at the 2014 Grammys - Hozier not only changed the key of his grammy nominated song to suit Annie but was smart enough to just give in to the force of nature that is Annie Lennox on stage. I was annoyed when she faked an harmonica sound all over his guitar solo - but she sang all over Pavorotti so I realised it wasn't personal she is just a Big performer and I respect her for it.

We had the pleasure of seeing Brandi and her two guitarists in an acoustic performance in a 1600 seat theater last night. Wow, just wow, Brandi and the guys are special. Every song was amazing, including the one they did two versions of, back to back.

That's how I read/interpreted his comment at least, and especially since I agree with the suggestion that Brandi has been a bit too much up in everyone's center stage since her Grammy acknowledgements. Sounds like you feel that way too. Which tells me there are probably a lot more - especially long time listeners of Brandi and the twins- who think maybe she has gotten a little too much of the fame high, and can't seem to chill from reigning in music industry oldies and then honoring them (the lovely part) by arranging major shows where she then somehow ends up taking up their shine space as they perform. Though with Annie stepping in...as best she tried to join Annie's "Why"....Annie just naturally just rocked the spotlight effortlessly, age not a factor vocally for her gift at all. 😊

She’s centre stage a lot of the time because she’s principal organiser and co-ordinatior of this event and I believe she feels the heavy weight of responsibility for ensuring that everything runs smoothly and everyone is happy and enjoying themselves. She continually directs the audience’s attention to performers during their individual moments and I think she deserves her fair share of the credit for the critical acclaim these productions have received, with more to come throughout the summer. Unfortunately it’s a sad fact of human nature that when someone manages to fly high in any field of public life there will be many willing to come forward to shoot them down. Please join me in the hope that the determination, perseverance and sheer strength of character that enabled her to rise from desperately poor beginnings will see her through tough times that lie ahead. (As a footnote, Annie and Brandi carefully rehearsed ‘Why’ together prior to the performance so Brandi was hardly trying to join in, she was supposed to and was suitably in awe).
hmm I have seen Annie and eurythmics in concert at least 5 times, Melbourne and Sydney. She has sung this song on piano the best. I'm sorry this is dreadful. It's out of tune. Not an easy song to sing. Just being truthful!!

It looks and sounds like it was recorded on someone’s iPhone in the audience, so I’d hold back on the sound criticism and just enjoy the moment- My guess is they are not singing out of tune- not these wonderful singers , its just recorded by someone in the audience getting it echoed in a large event arena.

It sounds off key to me too, for whatever reason, but I still love it - the vibe of fun everyone was experiencing really comes across.
