  • Finally a new model kit has been completed and the pile of models has shrunk ! This was a pretty fun kit to build, it did require some attention to some gaps and parts that didn't fit too great . The kit is a Zvezda 2020 release but is a re-box of a old Dragon tooling . Overall it did leave me with a reasonably detailed model of a very iconic cold war SPAA .

Это недооценённое видео. Я не понимаю, почему так мало просмотров, ведь результат превосходный!

Great end result for a limited kit - nicely proving that the quality of the kit is just one part of the equation.
Great to see it set within the Soviet-Afghan war too - a tragic, shocking, but very interesting period.
    Many thanks for sharing.

Awesome video and build!!! Was actually thinking about purchasing this Zvezda kit but, since you stated that this is just a re-boxed Dragon kit, probably will pass. Have the Dragon kit from the 1990s and there are some fit problems. Where you had the putty on bottom part of turret - yep - same with my Dragon kit. Search radar flops around all over the place - yep - same with my Dragon kit. Terrible link-n-length track shoes as well, so purchased metal tracks from a place in Ukraine. Anyway, liked your camo pattern, may be "barrowing" that scheme!!

It’s a ok kit in my opinion the tracks were a bit bad so maybe you could get some replacements and there were some steps and gaps to attend too . I’m curious was that the M4A2 kit I was thinking about getting that .

This is 1:35 scale but I think wargaming stuff is 1:100

ammo and ak paint are garbage buy mission models they dont clog anytime and are the best of the best

Yeah I was struggling with those ak paints I even bought a new airbrush needle to try and stop the clogging ! I don’t know why they do it .

I agree about Ammo and Ak paints but Ammo are the ones I really struggle with, try adding flow improver. Have some Mission paints and they are good but harder to get hold off here in the UK. I am slowly switching to lacquer based paints but have had to invest in a decent extraction booth.
