Great end result for a limited kit - nicely proving that the quality of the kit is just one part of the equation. Great to see it set within the Soviet-Afghan war too - a tragic, shocking, but very interesting period. Many thanks for sharing.
I have mengs in my stash just got the Buk and smerch to go with it lol I'm interested to see what this kits like as gave there new sherman kit away it was that bad!
It’s a ok kit in my opinion the tracks were a bit bad so maybe you could get some replacements and there were some steps and gaps to attend too . I’m curious was that the M4A2 kit I was thinking about getting that .
Awesome video and build!!! Was actually thinking about purchasing this Zvezda kit but, since you stated that this is just a re-boxed Dragon kit, probably will pass. Have the Dragon kit from the 1990s and there are some fit problems. Where you had the putty on bottom part of turret - yep - same with my Dragon kit. Search radar flops around all over the place - yep - same with my Dragon kit. Terrible link-n-length track shoes as well, so purchased metal tracks from a place in Ukraine. Anyway, liked your camo pattern, may be "barrowing" that scheme!!
Very realistic ,beautiful!Whats the trick on building the tracks?how did you glie them together and make them curve like the real ones? Is there a jig for this work?
Thank you, I think I put the links together dry however many the instructions say and then glued them and just before the glue is completely solid I wrapped them around the wheels . They weren’t the best fitting tracks if I remember they don’t sit on the teeth very well
@scalemodelling76 i am currently building it too and wanted a heads up about those tracks because overall fiting isnt this kits best characteristic as i too found out! You pulled off really great!
Hello modellmates!ohh i love that boxart.with best regards and sticky greetings from sandy Brandenburg germany.faithfully yours.your modellmate.christian
I agree about Ammo and Ak paints but Ammo are the ones I really struggle with, try adding flow improver. Have some Mission paints and they are good but harder to get hold off here in the UK. I am slowly switching to lacquer based paints but have had to invest in a decent extraction booth.
Lovely work
Thanks !
Это недооценённое видео. Я не понимаю, почему так мало просмотров, ведь результат превосходный!

brilliant tank , what scale is this for war gaming ?
This is 1:35 scale but I think wargaming stuff is 1:100

ammo and ak paint are garbage buy mission models they dont clog anytime and are the best of the best
Yeah I was struggling with those ak paints I even bought a new airbrush needle to try and stop the clogging ! I don’t know why they do it .
