Mem please make me a diagnosis. My report feature. Biospy from rectum history proctitis Microscopic description: Section show mild increase in inflammatory cells infiltrating lamina propria of rectal mucossa comprising lymphocytes, plasma cells and neutrophils. Surface lining epithelium shows Intraepithelial neutrophils. Crypts are regular. No Cryptitis, crypt abscess or Granuloma seen Impression:suggestive of chronic active proctitis.
Section studied from mucosal biopsy shows illeal mucosa with surface ulceration and neutrophillic exudates.Lamina propria focally edematous shows increased lymphoplasmacityc infiltrate with reactive lympoid follicle formation.few eosinophils and neutrophils.No unequivocal granuloma seen in the section studied. Serial Deeper section studied
