Great radios love the HD1. However,. Pro tip; be sure to download a factory codeplug when you buy your radio. I was not able to initialize (factory reset) after I had programmed zones and channels. I had to reloadload factory codeplug before I could make any selection when booting for initialization (green key+red key and power on). With my programming it would boot in initialization, but I could not make selection. Non GPS FW version 2.2.9. Hope this helps other folks in look of factory reset. Excites to see what the HD2 offers😊
Thanks for the helpful video. May I suggest adding mic gain to future firmware update. And is there any way screen brightness could be addressed in the future? The HD1 is hard to read outdoors compared to my RT82. Adjustable brightness in firmware would be helpful.
Maybe there is something wrong when you upgrading. Have a try to re-upgrade it. If you need any further assistance, email to us hams@ailunce.com Thanks
Windows and most other malware scanners give an alert if the Installer doesn't have a valid signature. Usually a build server config issue. If you are really concerned, easy solution is to run run in a windows environment in Vbox or VMware. You can keep all your radio configs and software in a "sandbox" apart from your PC Operating system.

Yes, we will add mic gain in future firmware. about the screen brightness, will feedback to our engineer. Thanks so much.
Still waiting on screen brightness 🌞 love you guys, but still hard to see in broad daylight.
When will you support MacOS? I haven't got a PC, so I cannot update the firmware or program the radio via the cable.
I'm not a Mac dude, but can you load vbox or VMware with a windows image? Easy to do.
You can't tell what your initialising because the selection doesn't light up when you press the down key, so I'm not sure if I've done mine or not?
Now, after you select all or vfo, there will be a dotted line. We will consider making it clearer in the future.
Have you got Windows Vista or Xp when registered this video?
how to adding logo screen during power on ?
Please take a reference to this blog. www.ailunce.com/blog/hd1-power-on-screen
I upgraded my HD1 but now the screen does not turn on. The Ailunce logo is barely visible, but I noticed it was flashing. Any suggestions?

Two years have gone by and on install it still triggers an antivirus alert. I am not feeling comfortable with this.
