    Thank you SO very much for this very detailed and comprehensive review. You covered EVERY question I had about these needles and this set! I especially appreciate that you showed a side-by-side comparison of the lace tips with the regular turbo ones, and the tutorials on how the click system and lifeline cords work. Just awesome! I'm glad you decided to go off your regular topic to do this review! :)

    Wonderful to see your videos again. Thanks for the info on the lace knitting tips. Living in a warm climate I took up lace knitting as it seemed more useful for this climate

      I love lace knitting! but i use these for most of my knitting. I think one year i will get the bamboo but i think thats only for really really slipper or dense knitting. but i am enjoying the needles.
      I live in a hot/cold area but i still enjoy lace knitting. i did a lace pattern but i am going to make some additions to it.

    I have these and they are really great. I also have the regular Addi turbos and wish I'd bought these first. These work better for me. I like the sharper points. I agree with you about better use of the space in the pouch. Thanks for the video!

    I have the same set & I really enjoy using them. I luv the pink case! I agree, for the $125 I paid, it would've been nice to have 2 more sizes. Or at least more cables. I don't like the join on these though. There's quite a lip there. Recently, I tried my 1st magic loop project, & the yarn was catching on that join. It's not a deal breaker though. I have several different brands of sets, so I can use those if I want to magic loop again.
    I luv the flexable cables. I didn't know we have to buy those in sets.
    * If you find out what that thing is on the the back of the gauge, please let me know!

    Do you still like your addi lace set? Is it fast? I like to knit fast and I bought addi brass and it slow me down. Little bit tacky. Thank you for your review 😁

    Good tools make all the difference.
    You crochet too, right? What kind of hooks do you use? I know that when I got the Clover set with the grips, it got rid of all my handcramps problems. It was an eyeopening moment lol

    • @ColoringKaria
      @ColoringKaria  7 лет назад

      Yes I think they are the ones i have! i really like them but a lot of places stop carrying them because people would rather pay $1 for the cheap metal ones but i like the clover ones better. Thank you so much for watching! I love your videos and told some friends about them.

    Why do these sets no longer include sizes 1 2 and 3??????

  • @janetodell9441
    @janetodell9441 7 лет назад

    Can you get smaller size tips for this, smaller than a 4?

    • @ColoringKaria
      @ColoringKaria  7 лет назад

      the size four is the smallest. But i am going to write to them to ask them to come up with a small gauge interchangeable set. because it would be great to have set for size 00-3.5. for smaller sizes you have to get fixed. Which sucks because if you make a circle shawl you have to get many lengths of the same size.

    I bought these but cannot get the needles to stay on the cords - so much for easy click and go!! Given up and gone back to my trusty fixed wire needles

    • @ColoringKaria
      @ColoringKaria  4 года назад +1

      Outand Fullyawake. There is a click system. If you look closely at the cord end you will see an L shaped indentation. There are actually two per cord end. If you look at the needle end you will see two dots. On the inner side of needle tips the dot closest to the end that connects to the cord is a tiny “peg”. You don’t need to look for the dot or the L everytime you connect them. But I’m telling you so you understand how the click system works. That’s why it’s called a click system. You connect the tip end that has a hidden “peg” with the cord end. You have to hit one of the two starts of the L push down the long side and twist into the short line of the L. I can do a video showing you this. If you don’t get that click in (and there is a little bit of a sound) it won’t work. You can check before you start knitting and see if it is in correctly. If you just pull and don’t twist it physically can not come off unless there is a problem with the tip. If it does it means you didn’t press down and twist at the right spot. Look at your cord ends closely before you give up. You will see the L shaped indentations. Let those be your guide. After a while you can just do it by feel and you will get a perfect click everytime.

      @@ColoringKaria thank you for this - why on earth they don't explain this in their leaflets - even a little diagram would have helped. With your description I've finally got the needles on a cord - and its stayed on - yay thank you!

    • @ColoringKaria
      @ColoringKaria  4 года назад +1

      That’s a great question. I don’t know why they don’t explain this to people. Most of the time people say the clicks don’t work for them that’s why. But once you got it, you got it. I might still do a video though.
