I just test drove the 2020 f250 and its crazy fast. It was hard not to speed because it would pull with almost no throttle. It's going to be a beast deleted.
I would still regear not a big rush but eventually just to take some stress off of the drivetrain , those Cummins engines don't know their own strength, like I said I won't make it a priority right now but later on maybe during the off-season 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽, or maybe one of the last upgrades that you do.
Would love to see that pull off up the grades. I would think a better test would be the newest Ram 2019 vs the newest Ford 2020 vs your pops GMC 2019 up those grades. Let's get it on!
I think it's worth it. It pays for it's self in MPG saved and gives better performance when you have bigger tires, also helps reduce wear on the transmission by having the proper gears for the tire size/weight.
I drive a '19 GMC Denali L5P. Thing is a beast. Great combination of speed and grunt. Does it pull better than a Cummins? Probably not. But it certainly is quicker when empty. It's a great engine. If I wasn't in an L5P then I would probably be in a Cummins. Eddie, your truck is beautiful.
Look into transfer flow for the gas tank. They’re awesome and built in Chico Cali. Poor ford lol also love your humbling attitude. That’s why I watch the channel. You’re down to earth and a joy to watch brother. Continued blessings and prosperity to you and your family brother
For the speedometer calibrator you might have to input the values of the tires. Do a search for the true dimensions of the tires so it's accurate. My 35s are really 34.76
I re-geared my Ford Excursion Powerstroke from 3.73 to 4.56 with 35” tires to get it to tow my 13k toy hauler better. The powerstroke (even highly modified) makes no power down low and towing at 65mph was terrible with 3.73, it could only hold 5th on flats and too much shifting and high revving. 4.56 made it a much better tow rig, but I paid the price in poor mpg while unloaded and driving above 75mph was higher RPM than I like. Pros and cons... My 2019 RAM has so much more torque at low rpm I’ll be keeping the stock gearing.
I’d say if your truck had the 3.42s like the 4th gens then yes regear. But with the 3.73s that came in the 5th gen you can get away with no regearing. Especially since the truck is more of a weekend warrior tow rig and not daily towing

You can pretty much calculate or look at a gearing chart and see what you effectively reduced your gears to. Chances are you're still at or over 3.42 which is what alot of the 2500s come factory. Anyway if you do regear youd prob wanna go 4.10 or max 4.30 dont over do it

Should i just blow money on a bunch of stuff my truck does not need. I got a new 2019 Ram 2500 and put AT tires on it and a tonneau cover and that is it. Nothing more it stays stock. Why because you can waste thousands on extra stuff you don’t need. I absolutely think aftermarket wheels suck and are not as good as factory wheels.

It's nothing to do with a 3/4ton or 1 ton. In today's truck market the difference is mostly in the added or not added leaf spring in the ass end. The rest of the vehicle is identical (except in the case of dodge's where the 1 tons are leaf sprung and the 3/4tons are coil spring)

Eddie's Life you should go 4.10, it’s the sweet spot for the HO Cummins and not being that much higher than the 3.73 wont effect highway driving much. I’ve had both

If you get the titan tank upgrade your lift pump in the tank with the fleece performance I think Greg Alberalla has a video on his channel with it

Double lung 4.10 would be a better choice, 4.30 is only going to take mpg away when unloaded by raising rpm.
