    Thank you for the additional information on Mark's use of the word "immediate" and "straight away". I counted it even in my Afrikaans Bible and the word in Afrikaans which means immediately is "dadelik" and it appeared 11 times.

    I never placed Mark with Peter at all. Then I remembered that it was at Mark’s mother home where prayers were said when Peter was in prison, and when Peter was released by the Angel it was there that he went.

    It always a blessing studying together with you brother Pedro and sister Colleen. So, Pedro, is this the same John aka Mark that was in jail and had his head being amputated and was sent to the island of Patmos ?

      Hi Tulipe and sorry for the delay in answering your question. So, the answer is no, it is not the same person. You are thinking of three different people here. Yes, three different people. One is John the Baptist who got beheaded, the second is John the apostle who was exiled to Patmos and the third is John Mark who we are talking about here. I hope this helps clarify.
