I really like the way you do voice overs on the riding parts with your telling us in retrospect what was going on. So much better than talking when riding in my opinion... Great video Craig.
Always a great time spent watching and listening to your travels. Helps me get through these long Michigan winters, with inspiration for upcoming season of riding. Keep up the great work!!👍🏼✌🏼
Beautiful New England back roads, some I may have to try sometime. Love that look out spot😎👍Sorry you had to ride 495 with the crazy highway drivers, that`s no fun.
We really enjoyed this video. My husband and I are dripping our toes in motorcycle vlogging. Love your editing skills. You told a fabulous story! Thanks for sharing. PS. We live in Maine and it’s snowing here today. ❄️🏍😢
Just got around to watching this. Very enjoyable. Love the fact that you have a place you take every bike. For me, living in north Texas, its the Talimena Scenic Drive on Oklahoma and Arkansas. I’ve ridden every bike I’ve owned across there since I was 18. Im now 55. I hope to ride your area some day from Texas. My wife and I did do a short fly and ride into Vermont and NY. Had a great ride through Lake Placid and then back into Vermont
I had to comment because I had similar thoughts about roads and traffic when reaching Rt. 95 / 128 from Rt. 16 after a few days in New Hampshire this fall. Thanks for all you share. You are a much better story teller than I will ever be. I have learned a lot from you about riding, touring, planning, etc.
Craig , always a pleasure to tune in ! You do a great job of filming editing . you’re always so gracious to your hosts. Beautiful country. Been a slow colorful fall here by Mt Rainier too. Those red rim sunglasses cracked me up! A ZZ Top song came to mind. Ride on !😄
I love riding the northeast, especially Vermont. I recently spent a weekend alone riding the Adirondacks due to the unseasonably warm weather. I need to get back to NH.
Craig do you have a heated jacket liner ? (On sale now at Cycle Gear ! ) lol..... it is a game changer for below 50 deg. Seriously like cruise control, once you use it there is no going back.....
On November 6 I took advantage of some warm weather and rode both Hurrican Mt. Rd and 113, Evan's Notch. Unfortunately the north end was closed just shy of Rt. 2. Ended up riding an extra 70 miles. Good fun. You rode within 2 miles of my house while on rt 16 in NH. I did a lot of riding in NH and Maine this year. There are plenty of amazing back roads for you to discover yet.
Thanks for another “real” video. What is the internet looking for in motorcycling videos? Is it young women going boldly where none before has? Is it a British couple in Alaska? Long trips? Exotic locales? RUclips rider blogs seem to be the rose off which the bloom has faded … You’re keeping it authentic. Glad to see the old (not aged, just original) Ripley doing his own video-blogging. I don’t watch Pedro Mota, Itchy, Missenden, Toll Free, etc. anymore. It’s this channel, and then one from South Africa. And, my own riding.
Thank you, I am glad someone got my little joke. I just thought I would take a page from the playbook of some of the more successful channels. And by the way, more power to them for figuring out what people want to see.
Damn the VT look busy with traffic, at least the later days gave you a break. As always, excellent content 👍 This video reminds me of how long its been since I've been up there and the amazing riding we have here in the NE . I really curtailed my touring to ride off-road \ enduro and over the last year+, I've been training for a career change(at 55😐). But on the plus side I've gained some serious riding skills and make more $$ .... So for 2023 I'm adding an ADV to the fleet and will ride more than ever....
It is hard to go anywhere nowadays without some traffic. I always have to remember that every else is still working. But, we do have a lot of beautiful places to uo here.
did you see quill hill when you where in rangeley its a dirt road to the top of a look out was cool i love vermont keep up the adventure i see you where on some bdr roads cool
Nice video man! Thanks! I'm currently interested in that exact model '22 Triumph Explorer. Just a little concerned with wind protection on the highway.
I have ridden it in heavy traffic at 80 plus and it is fine. You get some wind on your chest, but it is stable no buffeting with the screen all the way up
Nice ride, family here in town had lived in Rangely. I looked on the internet at some properties there. Seeing the Kancamangus hwy brings back some memories. There's a place in Ashfield, Massachusetts called ELMER'S STORE you should try for breakfast. Check the hrs. they have a website. Enjoyed the video Craig. RIDE SAFE
@@LivingOffTheSlab your ride into VT,NH, and ME, reminds me of a trip I did with my wife and another couple, back in 2014. It was really wonderful, and we had a lot of fun and laughs.
Just curious…what do you consider to be old? Really old? My grandpa retired from the Santa Fe railroad at age 75 & was still flying airplanes into his 80’s and took me flying. He led firefighting squads less than half his age in full fire gear with 80 lb water tank on his back in summer’s heat and humidity. I fought the fires right alongside him. The younger fighters begged him to slow down, but our community was in jeopardy. There would be no respite until the fires were out and our town was safe. He was in his 80’s. He retired as their Captain at the age of 91. I didn’t consider anyone to be old unless they were older than he was. He was my hero. I’m on track to follow in his footsteps…. I hope.
What's not to like? Great bike, roads, scenery, accom, food..
There is definitely a beauty and a art to solo motorcycle trips it's wonderful.

Very nice video. Great work.
Thanks!
Taking notes Craig, some great places to visit.
You have really become a great story teller with your videos. I so enjoy seeing them. Keep them coming!
Hurricane mountain road is a really crazy road with wicked steep inclines and declines. Must have been crazy just paving it, lol
I plan on being an old lady alone Doing trips on my bike. Small XG500 currently but I don’t care. I’ll still road trip it ! Love your vids
What an enjoyable video!!
Awesome 3dayer. Thanks for sharing.

Glad you enjoyed it. It is nice to have a "right of passage" ride. I do some variation of it just about every year.
That would make a good themed video. I have no doubt with your very enjoyable narration/ descriptions it would be well liked.
Happy Thanksgiving
Very nicely put together documentary of the trip Craig. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Overwhelmed with furnace repairs right now, I'm jealous. 🏍

Not very happy exposing my dream rides (LOL). Those are my Spring and Fall rituals and glad still not exposed to a lot of traffic. Thanks for sharing.
I've never been up in that part of the country. Very beautiful!
Great video. Been over many of the same roads. Thanks

It might be the Kancamagus without the "N" but its also "Foliage" not "Folage"...lol!
Yeah, you sound like my wife...lol.
Nice getaway Craig!

I have been to Elmer's a few years back. Unfortunately, their hours are very limited now a days.
@@LivingOffTheSlab yep Friday dinner and Sat/Sun breakfast and lunch
Don’t know if you ever travel into Eastern NYS. Dutchess County, NY as well as the Mid-Hudson Valley is close to Mass., and has some real nice roads.
I have been to NY state a few times. Mainly Catskills and Adirondacks, but also the Finger Lakes. It is a place I need to explorer a bit more.

How well does that small windscreen work? Thanks for sharing Craig.
You do get some wind across your chest, but there is no buffeting on the highway. I run it all the way up and so far it works well.

There is no number. Everyone ages differently. This is why I said we all have to be honest with ourselves.
Is that the Garmin zumo xt that you are using?
Yes.
