- Keep a dream job or start a family? That's the position CBSA dog handlers are in - as one says CBSA policy discourages them from taking parental leave. After she raised a grievance about it, she says she faced harassment and bullying.
No woman should ever have to explain or make compromises when it comes to bearing children. They can accommodate her, not the other way around, period. Shame on the CBSA for harassing a pregnant woman.

@@PeanutButter-19 youths running rampant with no parental controls, juvenile crime rates are increasing. Mothers are not at home minding their spoiled brats with a strap everytime they misbehave. Fathers are not coming home ready to strap the skin off a bare backside of their offspring.

The reason women had to come out of the kitchen was to fill in for the men who were off fighting a war that men had started .

And who were men protecting throughout times of war? There weren't many women on the front lines, if any at all the. Women want equality until being equal doesn't benefit them.

People have a right for maternity leave. They shouldn't be bullied.
She didn't lose her right to become pregnant. She chose the occupation...and was probably a quota hire.

Wahmen considers everything as a some type of harassment. Even just saying "hi" or "hello" to a wahman is harassment. Shaking hands to greet, harassment. Etc.
Good job, she should keep escalating this complaint every step of the way until justice is served.
Why can't the dog go live with the handler for half the time? It might be healthy for both.
Exactly, the K9 unit at the CBSA should have the entire family brought in for the dog to accept as his/her handlers and be involved in the training both on the job and at home. K9 warning signs will have to be posted on the entrances and windows of the home. Will be installing and maintaining a secured fenced in backyard for the dog must have visible warning signs posted. Local police services will have to be contacted as well to inform them of the K9 unit being housed in the neighbourhood and how many homes currently have K9 partners on their property. For the safety of the police officers doing random home checks (looking in backyards, hopping fences, drug raids on the wrong house, etc.)
Who’s paying for the dogs time off? They paid for the training etc…
@@alelectric2767 Those dogs are often bonded to their handlers. Letting the dog spend a little time with their regular handler while they're on mat leave helps maintain the bond.
@@joetran8798 ya I get that part but the dog they paid for and paid to train is now off work. Having the dog with one handler and then another is breaking that bond
@@joetran8798that's true although that dog which the CBSA spent tens of thousands of dollars on is now chilling at work doing nothing.
I understand both sides. She is entitled to have a child whenever she wants. If there is a policy in place before getting pregnant then you should have known the policy. If you don’t like the policy there is procedures to have it changed.
