I have never been more motivated to paint an egg. Genuinely. People always say „draw from life“ and „do studies“, but how?! Thank you for this, this helps me to get an idea how to THINK and LOOK while drawing/painting. And it‘s so relaxing to watch, too. No anxiety about doing it quickly, or perfect, no pressure to improve. Just calmness and an open mind for learning. Invaluable, really.
Yay!!! Thank you for the kind words. This is exactly what I hope it would do for people, inspire them to enjoy the process and learn it can be really calming and fun. Keep creating Kat!
This is a cool discovery here ! So many artists talk about studies but few of them really show us properly how to do it in the analytic way that you do. Learned a lot today ! Thanks
When he started painting this egg I was like "it's just a blob of grey it'll be impossible to find color nuance on this" and as he was painting and observing I ALSO STARTED OBSERVING AND SEEING SO MANY NUANCES OF COLOR ON THE EGG. Amazing video, thank you so much for this. I'm off to take pictures of eggs ❤
This was the first proper color study I remember doing. In school they gave us such complex stuff I didn't actually have time to focus on the colors, the shapes were a struggle all their own. I'm really happy with the egg I painted! Thank you so much for this video, it was a lot of fun to paint alongside you :)
Yay!! I'm delighted you gave it a try. I'm so glad you found this helpful. If you keep doing simple studies the more complex stuff starts to become easier. Keep creating! :)
I have been a painter ans sculptor 40 years now…and after several brain injuries and tumor…i am going back to the basics. Thank you for making it simple to comprehend. In addition…i never truely felt i understood color and light the way i should. You are a light in a dark tunnel of recovery. Thank you for your calm and yet inspiriting vocal tone and explanations.
Thank you so much! One thing I have learned of the course of recovery is the amazing plasticity of the brain and how we can overcome if we work hard. I’m very thankful to have been an artist and have that background to bounce back to . Creativity is extremely healing on so many levels.
Okay, first things first: you have a really understanding way of explaining things. I like your voice and your calmness and you give off the feeling that it's okay to start out with art and learning the fundamentals in a slow way. Sometimes it feels like we should all know everything, but most of the time i dont even know where to start. this video gives me a great rundown und how to study color and light from real life and your attitude i do like a lot. even from watching (will do the study later) I understood a bit and how important it is to study from real life. thank you for this video and i am glad i stumbled upon this video!
I love replies like this. Thank you my new friend! Yes, art creation does not need to be a stressful thing. Small steps can make big differences and it can be so fun along the way too. Keep creating!!
@@LightingMentor Are you teaching somewhere online yet? Where would we be able to upload our own painting? This is fun though on youtube. I'm glad you thought of doing this. It's encouraging to do my own simple study (s). Definitely not boring.
this was my first color study, i tried it right after watching the previous video to see how different our results were and wow there is smth refreshing abt this,is like seeing the world through some1 else's eyes ♡♡♡
I'm a traditional artist (pencil & paper) so I was scratching my head when I decided to start digital a few days ago. It's been super tough getting into it and I feel like I'm starting from square one again. I watched at least 5 other youtubers before I found your channel, I was clearly in the wrong place. I'm glad to have found this channel, I had a huge wave of relief when I watched your process. And now I can finally see progress in my work! Thanks for the help, I look forward to learning more from you. :)
I love getting comments like this!! I'm delighted that these videos are helpful. Ya, I find a lot of art videos seem to be focused on impressing people rather than actually giving practical advice that can be used right away. I try to make things that can be done by anyone if they just give it a try. Keep creating my friend!!
@@LightingMentor the thing is though, that your videos, your art, your creation process, your knowledge... is SUPER impressive!! So you actually give practical advice while impressing the hell out of us 😂
finally a good video. Everybody when they give tips of how to learn to draw, they say "just paint/draw", but nobody says what to draw, nobody says how to draw. Thank you for this video. It was amazing.
I took my iPad and I started painting this egg with you. I saw so many things I usually would see but not SEE see. Thank you for this wonderful lessons. There’s so much to learn from you!
THIS by far and by no means I am exaggerating, the best Digital Coloring exercise, tutorial and method I have come across. I was getting no where in my digital color application with all these 1000s of brushes I downloaded. The limitation of only 3 brushes really pushed me to actually gain INSIGHT into color interaction and play with the medium and light which I hitherto lacked. The edges were a bit challenging after the use of Mixer brush. Kudos 10/10 😄😄👍👍
A Bob Ross of the 21st century for sure!👏so calming to watch. Inspires me to just sit, relax and do some simple color studies myself. Thank you for this!
found my teacher at last, the universe has answered that I am ready, thank you so much for doing this in real time.. I like and learn best with each moment treasured as the journey not just the end result
At first I thought the entire blue section was white. The more I stared at it the more blue I saw coming from the exterior lighting that coated the wood surface as well as the upper side of the egg. Saw some green in the wood on the left side that was hiding with the brown/tan tones. Thank you for posting this series!
I painted 3 eggs.. This was long overdue for me, Im still working on my basics and I want to slowly open up the chapter color. I have a bit of "analytical brain" knowledge, painted in greyscale most of the time and finally releasing this into my intuitive brain feels great. I have been overwhelmed by color but I will just do these little Studys with a timer on. Thank you!
My goodness this was so helpful and inspirational. Drawing always came naturally to me, I don't know why, but painting is a whole different beast that gave me headaches. This video is so "simple" yet it gave unmeasurable amount of information. This is painting. Observe, estimate, make the stroke, observe again, correct, check again, make a new stroke... etc Thank you for these videos!
Thank you Jeremy for showing us how you work and think as an artist and walking us through your processes. Amateurs like me always think that top-level artists like you just create amazing art in minutes. This video just taught me that regardless of your level, you need to take time to observe, understand, experiment and refine. High quality art and design cannot be achieved without a lot of time and effort. Honestly, the stuff I learn from you is just another level!
A really wonderful video! So many tutorials focus on the 'principles' of painting and colour, and they're important of course! But it's so nice to sit with someone and actually follow along with the very basics. I've learned more from this than I have from MANY other tutorials. Thank you!!!
This real-time color study was so informative! I would LOVE to see many more of these real-time studies on your channel! I used to use photoshop and hate that they switched to a subscription model. A few years ago I switched over to Affinity Photo and never looked back. I've found (for me) that Affinity Photo has everything I need. (I love that once you pay a one-time fee to buy it, that's all it costs, even with updates.) I sure hope you make more of these real-time sketches! Thank you!♥
This was so good. The explanation is great and seeing you doing it real time makes it feel more attainable. Also when you mentioned that the perspective isn't right, that the egg shape wasn't quite there and the shadow being hard. All of that were things I was seeing and this realisation that it's not a big deal is so refreshing. Always had this idea that people like you just did perfect paintings so every mistake I made I saw it as a big red flag. This video was therapeutic.
I'm so very glad you found this helpful Daniela! Yup, perfectionism is a big art killer, as well as the idea that you have to get everything right on the first try. All of us push and pull and try things, make mistakes, correct them, try again, and that's quite normal. You can paint anything, as long as you give yourself grace and permission to fail and keep trying. Keep creating my friend!
I just adore how a simple explanation can develop into an effective teaching tool. After 10 years I finally understood how to avoid diving into details. Thank you so much!
WOW I have never thought an egg study coudl be SO interesting - as you delved deeper and deeper into the colours my mind just kept getting blown. This is insane, so glad I discovered this channel
This is the most useful painting study I have found by far! And exactly what I was looking for. I used to draw by copying and color-picking. Then I gave up, and now, 10 years later I’m back to digital painting. Though it seems that I’m no good at all. So I wanted to really learn to paint by simplifying and getting the overall impression, colors and light. Because I only know how to copy details. Whenever I tried to draw or paint from a poor quality of blurry reference, I failed, because I didn’t know how to handle it. So thank you for giving the guidance. This video made it all so clear for me. I never knew it could be so easy to paint a quick sketch of such an egg. I went on trying and practicing with other things. Yeah, it’s challenging, but it’s much easier than I thought it would be.
What really lets this video stand out against similar videos on other channels is how you really articulate every thought process very well - glad I found your channel :)
Aw, thanks! Ya, I try to approach teaching like I would like to be taught. It has to be simple, approachable and practical. Thanks for the kind comment :)
@@LightingMentor you're welcome, thank YOU for the awesome videos :) one question came to my mind: is there a particular reason you're doing the studies from photos instead of directly from real life?
I'm a self taught artist looking to make a career change and I'm genuinely hooked to your way of teaching! Thank you for taking some time out from your busy day, to make these videos! Cheers!
Yes, I wish I had learned these things in school too, but learning on the job gave new perspectives. The whole goal of this channel is to share the ideas that are not always taught in school but are still really useful ways to work. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I learned that the table is the bane of my existence.... But really this is hands down the best explanation of HOW to study, so many videos just tell you what to study instead of teaching the technique. I look forward to watching every single video of yours xD
so cool the video seeing the inside of a real time work instead of speed paints and the explanation really help. Already suscribed, looking forward for more videos!
This is hands-down THE most informative demonstration on color and lighting I have seen! Honestly, I was hoping you would do the banana so I was like "Nooooooo," when you choose the egg- BUT... this is the most intriguing egg painting demo ever! I've never been to art school so I'm learning by watching mostly RUclips videos and reading books. I've been looking for advanced in- depth studies on lighting and color and I've found it! KUDOS to you and thank you! It all makes sense now. Your diagram on lighting is fantastic! I now understand terms like ambient occlusion and specular lighting and where they are located on an object. I've seen these terms with my 3D software programs but didn't know exactly what they meant. I just focused on what I thought looked good when lighting a character. Now I know and will apply this to not only my digital work but also my works on canvas and paper.
I usually find it so difficult to sit through tutorials, I find myself skipping to the end of them but I didn’t want to skip any of this it was all so interesting and useful, thankyou for the great tutorial
The "blurring" the eyes worked so much, also one problem I had with color studies is that I focus too much on details. When you said to only focus on the color instead of the form, etc etc, it was a game changer for real. Also the avoidance of color dropping helped me so much. Thank you so much for this. The process is rlly awesome to see
Please continue to do these type of studies where we can watch you. Or even just drawing whatever you feel like and take us along it doesn't matter if its a specific study
As someone who wanted to paint “really awesome concept art” Im so glad these videos to really hone in on the fundamentals. Even more stylized work benefits from this. Thanks for putting these out here for free, means a lot!!!
I cannot thank you enough for this video. Painting has been my lifelong nightmare and it has felt impossible to overcome but this video made it seem so simple and manageable. It actually feels real and achievable. So thank you, this video is a game changer. ❤
Thank you so much for your time doing this exercise! It is so simple your approach, yet so powerful, focusing all the time on the most important elements. Only two photoshop brushes and the picture of an egg. It is a great direction for me. I hope you continue growing your channel, this experience you are sharing it is unvaluable.
not to be wierd or anything but, watching your videos give me a feeling like staying home and sit with the dad that i never had teach me how to draw for the first time.
I can't believe I'm watching this for free Thank you for the video with your thought process! It was very usefull. I really enjoyed the video and tried to paint along with you It was fun!! And I love the result!
This was wonderful to watch and learn. What I learned is that it's not in the least bit useless to just keep looking at something. There's more to see and as you change the colors to match more colors are effected.
I love the simplicity of this tutorial, I'm an artist having the knowledge & experience in Core draw & Paint, Corelpainter & Adobe CC, but sincerely you wiped off me the overwhelming force that weighs me down in Corelpainter, I always want to use multiple brushes at the same time 😀, thanks greatly. 💪👍👍
It was really nice to sit & do the colour study along with you and hear your thought process. It helped me understand better and apply it to my study piece as we went on and I have now painted the best egg I've never painted and I really appreciate that 🤘🤘 Looking forward to future videos :)
So interesting how our eyes see more as tike goes on. I didn't notice the eggs reflection at all until 20 minutes in, and the differences are so minute but make such a difference. Thank you for sharing
This and the last video were such a good balance for me understanding doing this type of studying. I love color and light and am a novice using it in my painting. With this method you showed up, I think I'll take more photos and study the time of day. Set up still life's at different times and experiment with the colors. Also, thank you for demoing the big to small thought process while you painted. I struggle to stay away from details at first.
Thank you so much for this walk through, I really appreciate you picked something simple and easy to understand. I use to try still life photos that required way too much thinking but this is neat and clear.
I spent a bit of time trying to find this video again haha!! One of the best painting beginner tutorials and guide I ever encountered on youtube. Highly recommend. I love this dude!!!
Quality content 👏 I’m a fan of these longer form demo videos where you take your time going through your thought process. Subscribed, and I hope your channel takes off!
After watching this and your other video talking about color studies I went and did my very first digital color study... I really learned a ton thanks to you. So definitely thanks for the guidance.
Painting along to you is a great help! I think I did pretty good with my egg on my own, but hearing your thought process on where more darker, more saturated colors should go provides great hints! :) Thank you for these videos, super cool!
I love your work and videos. I am also on a colour hunt and that’s how I found your videos. You are so friendly and the way you are talking about your colour findings feels soothing which makes me want to really listen to you, aside from the great findings. Thank you for your work!
This was perfect, in that I grew my vision as you were developing yours. Isnt it crazy, how we can look at something and then SEE it more and more, and more? Thank you for this! I was really hoping youd finish off the front right of the egg, just the edge and a highlight, but that in itself reflects to me what im seeing! Thanks!!
I can't thank you enough for this tutorial! It helped me with so many things including lighting and color as well as noticing subtle details. You also made this look achievable! I can't say it looks "easy," but by your very detailed and easy instruction, I think I could actually do something like this. Thanks so much.
Seeing the whole process is so helpful! It's just what I needed as someone just getting started with digital art. I was trying too complicated things without any focus and getting frustrated but this was very relaxing and inspiring
Yay! I'm so glad you found this helpful. Yes, one small step at a time. I think we too often go too big too fast. Get comfortable with small things and then work to bigger stuff. Keep creating!
This was so fun to watch!! Thank you. I had started with pencils only and I’m decent with them, but I want to understand color and light. I find myself looking at things out and about to notice what I see, but this follow-along was very helpful!
I'm really glad for your content. Thanks for sharing your brushes, I've searched for a nice textured brush that really worked, and I finally found it. I was kinda depressed because I've drawn my whole life, but I just can't get better at colouring, and lately it has driven me crazy. But now I found your channel and I feel motivated again. Thanks.
thank you very much!! this study tutorial was EXACTLY what I was looking for, and the process was so engaging that it made me genuinely excited to study myself. thank you again!!
This was so refreshing! I do studies occasionally but am always picky with my references which are mostly from the internet. This just showed me that having personal references can be interesting too. There are more ways light source can fall through, and it can make one subject appear differently in a hundred pictures. Amazing. Thank you for walking us through this process.
I'm so glad you gave this a try! Yes, just like Bob Ross said... "anyone can paint" This is just the first step to being able to paint anything you imagine
i followed this video and it was one of the most relaxing drawing sessions i've had in a while. and i did learn a lot, not just about the egg, but about the thought process behind everything :) thank you so much!
Yay!! I'm so glad you enjoyed this and joined along. I firmly believe that learning does not have to be stressful so I'm glad you found it relaxing! Keep creating
Thank you so much for this lovely study! i got tired of trying to draw lines and clean line art and found that painting straight ahead is much more better and therapeutic haha
I just found your channel like 3 days ago and you are so knowledgeable and are such a good instructor! You make me feel very comfortable and inspire me to try more still life’s, but also, congrats on your channel growth. Even though I found you three days ago, you were at 22k. And as of right now, you’re at 25k!! Pretty swag man! Thank you for these cool ass videos :)
This was such a quick and easy way to do a study that I actually feel more inclined to set aside time to do it again! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with people like me who are self taught! You are amazing! Looking forward to future videos!
Thank you for this lesson! I might have just discovered "the missing link" in my painting skill set??? My art teacher skipped this lesson and went straight to digital painting from still life pencil sketching. didn't know this was this crucial. kinda explain why I always hated the result of my coloring. I'll add this lesson to my daily study. Have a nice day, Sir!
"I both love and hate them" 😂, don´t we all? Thank you so much for sharing your expert advice and thoughts here. I´ts brilliant really brilliant, laid back and academic at the same time. Greetings from Sweden.
really liked this, thanks. in high school we were given still lifes, but i dont think their intention was ever explained as well as you do. i always got caught up in the details and making it look exactly as it did instead of studying color and value, grew frustrated and started hating them. i also think we were given very very complex things to paint (more than 1 bottle AND a fruit basket with oranges and apples and grapes and the like) which only made it worse. i'm just a hobby artist, i draw for myself, but even i reach a point of getting frustrated with my art and know i have to return to those frustrating basics to see meaningful improvement. time to paint some bottles and eggs.
This is super helpful! Also the mixer brush, I didn't even know that existed D: I appreciate that you started at square one with your photoshop setup video + the brushes, and showed the exact tools and process you were using in this video, without speeding it up or skipping steps. I tried to follow along on my own canvas :)
I did it! I painted an egg! Sure, it’s not perfect and it was really weird to have to use my mouse (my drawing tablet broke recently), but it represents something I’ve genuinely never been able to do before. Thank you for this amazing tutorial/guide that helped me actually understand light and shadows!
Incredible. Thank you, Jeremy! This was my very first study ever and I enjoyed it a lot. I'll be honest I spent way too much time on it and found it hard to stop and accept the end result but will try to pace myself better next time.
Hello! I learned so much from following your process here. I made my first study this evening and I was surprised at how well it turned out. Thank you so much for sharing your process. :)

@@tollestoertchen probably for convenience, or so we can see what he's drawing.
I'm a self taught artist looking to make a career change and I'm genuinely hooked to your way of teaching! Thank you for taking some time out from your busy day, to make these videos! Cheers!
I wish this is how they'd taught us back in high school. Thank you for your videos that are turning out to be true gems!
Thank you! So glad it was useful. :) Thanks for the subscribe. I have plans for many more videos that I hope can keep helping
I might not have much to say, but you and these videos you've made are very encouraging and helpful. Thank you, genuinely.
Wow... such kind words and great feedback. Thank you!!
literally a free class from a master of his trade. thank you so much!
You're most welcome
The "blurring" the eyes worked so much, also one problem I had with color studies is that I focus too much on details. When you said to only focus on the color instead of the form, etc etc, it was a game changer for real. Also the avoidance of color dropping helped me so much. Thank you so much for this. The process is rlly awesome to see
These videos are actually helpful! I’ve learnt more in this video than i have from any other art video ive seen.
holy cow was this informative, hearing the concrete steps u r taking to actual do a color study was enormously helpful to hear
Yay! I'm so glad you found this helpful. Keep creating
You are most welcome Nick!! SO glad you found this helpful
I cannot thank you enough for this video. Painting has been my lifelong nightmare and it has felt impossible to overcome but this video made it seem so simple and manageable. It actually feels real and achievable. So thank you, this video is a game changer. ❤
I'm so glad this was helpful. Yes, one step at a time and soon you'll be able to paint anything
Best color study explanation I’ve ever watched.
Wow, thank you! I'm glad you liked it
That was amazing! I have so much to learn. I didn’t even see the reflection of the egg until you mentioned it. Thank you so much!
Thank you, I've learned more about colour theory in this one tutorial than in seven years of full time study at art school.
I can't believe I'm watching this for free
Thank you for the video with your thought process! It was very usefull. I really enjoyed the video and tried to paint along with you
It was fun!! And I love the result!
This was wonderful to watch and learn. What I learned is that it's not in the least bit useless to just keep looking at something. There's more to see and as you change the colors to match more colors are effected.
The best color study tutorial. Thank you.
:) Thank you!!
It's so easy to get lost in the tools and lose sight of the art itself. I'm so glad you found this helpful. Keep creating my friend!
It was really nice to sit & do the colour study along with you and hear your thought process. It helped me understand better and apply it to my study piece as we went on and I have now painted the best egg I've never painted and I really appreciate that 🤘🤘 Looking forward to future videos :)
Yay!! Comments like this make it all worth it! I'm so glad you joined along and also saw the rewards of giving this method a try!! Woot!!
So interesting how our eyes see more as tike goes on. I didn't notice the eggs reflection at all until 20 minutes in, and the differences are so minute but make such a difference. Thank you for sharing
Yes, light is so amazing! I'm so glad the video helped you see those subtle but key details
Watching you paint this is so magical and calming
Thank you so much for this walk through, I really appreciate you picked something simple and easy to understand. I use to try still life photos that required way too much thinking but this is neat and clear.
You have pulled me out of a long depressing art block with your ways to explain all this😊 Thank You
Absolute genius. Thank you.
I spent a bit of time trying to find this video again haha!! One of the best painting beginner tutorials and guide I ever encountered on youtube. Highly recommend. I love this dude!!!
Thank you so much! I'm so glad it was helpful
Quality content 👏 I’m a fan of these longer form demo videos where you take your time going through your thought process.
Subscribed, and I hope your channel takes off!
Thank you so much!!! I wondered if long form was the right choice or if I should do lots of speedpaint videos. Thanks for the feedback
Outstanding instruction. Thank you
You're most welcome
After watching this and your other video talking about color studies I went and did my very first digital color study... I really learned a ton thanks to you. So definitely thanks for the guidance.
Awesome study. Thank you for this most generous tutorial. My eye thanks you, too.
Thanks Barb! I'm so glad you found it helpful
Painting along to you is a great help! I think I did pretty good with my egg on my own, but hearing your thought process on where more darker, more saturated colors should go provides great hints! :) Thank you for these videos, super cool!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and followed along!! Thanks for letting me know. Keep creating
I love your work and videos. I am also on a colour hunt and that’s how I found your videos. You are so friendly and the way you are talking about your colour findings feels soothing which makes me want to really listen to you, aside from the great findings. Thank you for your work!
Awww thanks Poppy! I'm so glad you found this helpful
Thanks!!
I was waiting for this. Glad that I have found you. Thank you so much for the videos you make.
I can't thank you enough for this tutorial! It helped me with so many things including lighting and color as well as noticing subtle details. You also made this look achievable! I can't say it looks "easy," but by your very detailed and easy instruction, I think I could actually do something like this. Thanks so much.
You're most welcome friend! I'm so glad you found this useful. Keep creating!!
I could tell his egg was off in proportion but when you’re busy with the painting it’s a whole other game
I'm so grateful I've come across your channel! Thank you for making videos!
You're most welcome! So glad you stopped by and found my videos useful!
Yay! So glad you found this helpful! :) Thanks for the kind words
Wow! First time in my life I feel like I can paint too and make awesome paintings. Thank you so much for showing your techniques.
Thank you friend! Ya, I'm so happy my channel is growing so fast. I hope it helps a lot of people. Thanks for the kind words
this was more helpful than a lot of teachers and painting classes i attended! Thanks a lot
This was such a quick and easy way to do a study that I actually feel more inclined to set aside time to do it again! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with people like me who are self taught! You are amazing! Looking forward to future videos!
Thank you very much! I'm so glad you enjoyed this
Thank you for this lesson!
Greetings from Sweden.
i dont do digital i do with brushes.. but you made me see more with painting than anyone has on youtube. my hat is off to you sir! and i subbed
Thank you so much, understanding how to look at colors better! 🙏🏼
So glad you find this helpful!!
This is like adigital Bob Ross experience. Thanks so much for this, this gave me great insight and inspiration!
I adore your energy and passion!
really liked this, thanks. in high school we were given still lifes, but i dont think their intention was ever explained as well as you do. i always got caught up in the details and making it look exactly as it did instead of studying color and value, grew frustrated and started hating them. i also think we were given very very complex things to paint (more than 1 bottle AND a fruit basket with oranges and apples and grapes and the like) which only made it worse. i'm just a hobby artist, i draw for myself, but even i reach a point of getting frustrated with my art and know i have to return to those frustrating basics to see meaningful improvement. time to paint some bottles and eggs.
This is super helpful! Also the mixer brush, I didn't even know that existed D:
I appreciate that you started at square one with your photoshop setup video + the brushes, and showed the exact tools and process you were using in this video, without speeding it up or skipping steps. I tried to follow along on my own canvas :)
Thanks for making this and taking the time to actually explain and paint with us! This really helped me a lot!!!
I did it! I painted an egg! Sure, it’s not perfect and it was really weird to have to use my mouse (my drawing tablet broke recently), but it represents something I’ve genuinely never been able to do before. Thank you for this amazing tutorial/guide that helped me actually understand light and shadows!
Thank you so much for this, it really helps demystify the process of painting with realistic color and light
SO GOOD! I'm easily overwhelmed by where to begin but this just made sense. Thank you.
You are most welcome!!
Incredible. Thank you, Jeremy! This was my very first study ever and I enjoyed it a lot. I'll be honest I spent way too much time on it and found it hard to stop and accept the end result but will try to pace myself better next time.
I'm so glad you gave it a try. Yes, it is said that "an artist's work is never completed, only abandoned" KNowing when to stop is a skill in itself :)
Hello! I learned so much from following your process here. I made my first study this evening and I was surprised at how well it turned out. Thank you so much for sharing your process. :)
One egg. One word. Bliss. THANK YOU! Dg
:) Thanks
Just discovered your channel and after watching only two of your videos have learned so much. The most valuable point I heard was that one must practice these skills of observation to develop. Them, thanks so much. I plan to view more of your videos. I especially like the pace at which you present info. and your calm demeanor.
Thanks Norene! I’m so glad you found these helpful. Keep creating!
