Here is my interpretation, based upon a few things IU has mentioned about the song. The train represents her 20's. Each car represents an aspect of her mood, life and growth through her 20's. The 1st car shows her as being a little awkward and unsure of herself and fitting in. The 2nd car is a party car where she has become more self assured and relaxed enough with who she is and where she stands to enjoy some of her success. NOTE: the conductor is the same actor who appears in her MV for Good Day playing musical instruments.
In the animated section, which by the way is done very similar to the 3d animation of Eight, she takes off her Rose colored glasses suggesting that she she the world in a clearer manner.
The third car represents the battles she has waged to do things she wants to do, like taking control of her music, writing her own lyrics and composing her own music. The last car she is leaving her 20's behind.
She disembarks from the train and she is a little nervous and scared facing the future of her 30's. She waves good bye to the conductor and the train of her 20's as the train of her 30's arrives at the station. Notice that the board that her a list of Albums, EP's and songs at the start is now empty, who knows what will find it's way onto it going forward.
Then she stares into the camera and her million dollar smile breaks out with a "you haven't seem anything yet" attitude.
And boy has she started it off in a big way. While Korea is legally discarding the Korean age convention this year, meaning IU will Offically turn 30 this coming May 6th (meaning she really was 29 for 2 years), she was awarded Best New Actress for her first role in a commercial film, Broker. She also became the 1st Korean female soloist to head line a concert at the Olympic stadium, she has confirmed that she is dating Lee Jong-Suk (they started dating in September) and she was included in Rolling Stones updated list of the 200 Greatest singers of All Time list which was released Jan. 2nd of this year.

Her birthday is on May 16 and what she eats is Korean baked dumplings.
This song has the meaning of saying goodbye to 20s and welcoming 30s

You're pretty spot on. This song is about her saying goodbye to her past career and looking forward to the next stage of her career.
The song Epilogue, which has a short video, is a song dedicated to her fans as she asks us to reflect on her journey with us.

IU is so happy to turn 30. She always wants to turn 30, this is something that all her fans know about her, because for her, turning 30 is a mark of passing all the sorrow n hardships and you can now enjoy life fully. If watch her interviews she had with her brother on her yt account, she answer some question about how happy she feels to turn 30🤗

In her album Lilac, I think the songs referencing her career were Lilac, Coin, My Sea, Ah puh and Epilogue. Maybe next time you can also check these other songs😊

Your interpretation of "love me only till the spring" is very nice. That is basically apart of the song how she is moving on into her 30s. And how her real fans will stay with her. While she says goodbye to her 20s and the fans who only stan 20 year old iu.
At the start of the second verse. Were it says "How perfect the wind and sky are" are references for her song . The one that made her famous. You can also hear a small piano tune, which is from good day.
The destination on the "where are you going?" Board is every thing she realised in her 20s

I think the song and MV aren't really related, or only tenuously so. The song is about a romance that 'ended well' and the fond memories will fade. The MV is an allegory for her 20s. In interviews IU has long said she was looking forward to her 30s, that the age suits her more than her 20s did. Just a couple days ago she was commenting about how life in her 30s is different.

I love that idea of IU being more suited to life in her 30s :)

Through the night ruclips.net/video/BzYnNdJhZQw/видео.html as the next IU MV for reaction would be my recommendation if it comes to it. Considered as "the" IU song which hadn't drop off the chart due to the suitability of playing it every night with its poetic lyrics. There is so many more IU songs to recommend but I will prioritise having TTN go first if I were to choose.
It is always so beautiful to see interpretation of others to mediums such as songs as if our mind and soul were connected with one another right at the moment the song started playing. A question that I have is would you consider doing reaction to Kdramas? I believe with your skillset and the ability to empathise with the message/intent of a story, you would be a perfect fit to not only gives us more context but also a fresh take on the writing. Kdrama and Kmovies can be a longer watch/commitment, but I think it will be worth looking into if you would like to expand your scope on learning about a new culture. Music video can only show so much in terms of the culture with the limited time. The video review itself will not be required to consist of the full 1-hour length of an episode (mostly just cut up version of the major point you think is worth discussing over). Can do a whole Patreon system with the uncut reaction to be posted there.
My recommendation for Kdrama is also IU related and it will be "My Mister" which many directors have praised including ones living internationally. Won awards and the poetic message behind each episode is something worth analysing.

Thank you so much! I will definitely do Through the Night next! :)
I think if I ever had a LOT more time for doing this I would absolutely react to Kdramas too! I've watched several, but recording and editing takes a really long time and even just these short ones take hours to actually get to what you see online, so I'd need considerably more free time to do a whole Kdramas. Maybe someday!!
