Dad's Christmas gift is all the work he does for you. He's the best!!!!! The chair came out very beautiful. I broke my wrist in July. Struggling with stiff fingers (I didn't know to move fingers when in cast) God willing 2024 will be all healed and can craft again.

I had those same needlepoint chairs that my grandmother made when my dad was in the Navy fighting in WWII ! She did the needlepoint to keep her mind and hands busy while he was fighting overseas … as her only child. So cool to see your transition!

In November, I painted a Louis chair with Hey Sailor (fabric) and Faded Burlap (wooden frame). It's amazing and in my bedroom. I sit on it all the time. It NEVER has faded or stained furniture ever. Special thanks to Aspen at Gray Day Relics (your retailer) who coached me through the process.

I remember the first time I saw someone paint an upholstered piece, and it was Hildy on Trading Spaces, she painted a full size couch, something went wrong, it was a such a disaster that production broke the rules and gave Hildy additional funds to replace the couch she ruined lmao.
Hildy was fearless I was always intrigued. I remember her putting grass on the walls like wallpaper.🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ I think a lot of her projects did not work out, but she was very adventurous!

Thank you for your inspiration. I have to paint the chairs from my dining room set, since my dog as a puppy, left teeth marks on those chairs. Watching you is inspiring me to get started. My dog will be 14 in April, so those puppy marks were so long ago. She has no teeth now, I think they became loose when she chewed my furniture, and the vet pulled them years ago. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, your family, and the fur kids in your family. Fur babies are family, my 4 1/2 lb Pomeranian, is a great family member. She dislocated her shoulder by jumping off my bed, had surgery to repair her leg, that failed, and lost her leg last year. My prayers are for that precious little dog to be healthy this year. She is no longer allowed on my bed and must stay in her own bed, since that injury was severe, and because she is so tiny she is very fragile. Thank God she is very healthy other than that.
