Friendly advise, use good old latex gloves or something similar so the oils on your fingers dont get on anything

@@ulyyy27 Ignore 3 years ago me lmao, for HIDs yes use latex or nitrile gloves, bc of how hot the HID gets the oils/dirt from your hands fucks em up, LEDs are fine they dont get as hot and are made of different materials

Glad to see I'm not the only one that chipped the plastic shit sticking the screw driver to pry it open.
Blue is the absolute worst color for interior vanity lights - it resets your eyes' nighttime vision adaptation back to daylight mode, but so do blue headlights so have fun driving blind.
I did the opposite LOL I did blue headlights and bright LED interior lights.
Red is good for general night use & reading (because it does not harm your night vision so much), but not so good for paper maps. I wired, for most of the cabin lights, a polarity reverser switch in the dashboard (near the fuse box) for both white & red LEDs installed in the map & dome housings (with opposite polarities). I also put a bumper on the regular light switch so I can find it in the dark even with gloves on.

That was awesome video. I just have a question: blue LED definitely looks way cooler that white, but does it provide same clear vision? Do I still able to read map or receipt or find anything under that light?
red and blue arent bright at night.. just for swagggg. i changed all mine to white

Thanks for the tutorial. I currently have those same fuse-shaped lights but the LEDs they say fit my car look nothing like them. These LEDs are flat with only 1 circular end. Will those also work?

PS I rigged(separated the bottom of the bulb) a 194 led bulb to put in the -dope- dome light. I would like to have a proper one in there.

Don't go over around 50,000 because Mitsubishi's aren't too reliable lol but if cared by the right owner, it'll live a long life. Only problem is the CVT but you won't have that problem with a Ralliart/MR/GSR. When you purchase the vehicle, remember this: The car will make a knocking noise that will scare you at first because of the SST transmission, so don't be too paranoid about that. Second, you will hear a popping which sounds pretty badass but it's just after-fire from the exhaust.

Noticed you have a Lancer too. Do your LEDs have a very faint flicker when you turn them on manually while the car's running with the doors closed? My Sylvania LED bulbs flicker very faintly but it's only noticeable at night. Helps that they aren't CANBUS bulbs though

Thanks good. I was watching a vid ahead got scared if i pull the bulb out it my shock me.
In my car it's at an angle and I didn't realize I had to rotate the bulb before pulling it out so in an attempt to just pull it straight out I shattered the bulb and cut my finger badly

Title is misleading. I thought this was a video on "how to Install LED Dome & Map Lights In Your Car" on a vehicle that has none. You're just replacing the BULB, not the light.

you dont take a screw driver or anything that is flat.. you use plastic removal tools!
your actually dumb, if it fits you can use it just got to be carefull not to scratch anything lol. some people are just scared to break shit cause they dont know what there doing

really, i did the same thing on my car and huh no scratches. the concept hard and soft is really almost irrelevant to this and more so irrelevant to things like hitting a hammer with a hammer so just shut up and accept the fact that im right.

Google (your car model & year) interior lights.
Most light bulbs have a 4 number identifier.
Then go to Amazon and buy a bag of 10-20 of each.
The fuse style light he just replaced is probably a 6418, i bought 10 of those for under 9 bucks.
I also bought a bag of 5050's & 2825's for under 10 bucks each for 20. Those are the teeny little bulbs for corner markers and interior.
So basically for 30 bucks i have a lifetime supply of interior bulbs.

Haha! Yeah, I could have used a better tool but I saw the rusty screw driver and was like, whatever lol. It also would have been better to stick the screw driver in a microfiber towel or something so I don't mess up the outer edge and scuff it.
