you aren't the only one disappointed about not being Annalisa representing Italy at Eurovision...for me both were fine and top winners but in all honestly this from Angelina sounds more "organic" than Sinceramente which was too close to a Kylie Minogue's song. What is missing? Probably emotion (it's not a ballad) but it's got plenty of energy...it's for dancing.
Well Angelina is amazing and talented, and the song is super catchy, and modern, and stylish. But I like when we have something unexpected at ESC every year and new, so maybe that what is missing. But maybe it just me and I really think that Italy will do amazingly at the finals!
Angelina and Nemo are my 2 top winners -the performance from Angelina is full of nuances and gestures which aren't common - then if her stage presence didn't "grab" you then you shouldn't force to like it just because others do. Or maybe you are missing the same male's Italian ballad?
Greece does a similar job and pushes folk and innovation to the extreme but I don't think is going to appeal to most. Then if Angelina's stage presence is going to be replicated in Malmoe I think she's going to gather more points than Greece.
Nemo does even more with the music - it's mesmerizing and I was hooked instantly and in my view The Code represents the most creative entry on Eurovision EVER.
@@stefanogortaldi3156 Thank you so much for this comment! I really really relate to it. I think the same! I guess Angelina will grab the attention as there will be dancers, and a crowd around her, so it will be much more powerful than on the Sanremo stage. Here is the thing, Nemo for me grabs attention without any staging and dancers. They can be alone on the stage and it will work! I saw Nemo live so yeah, it's magnetic! And Angelina does not do the same effect for me, I need more of her presence on stage, so there's that. And no, I really don't care if it's a male or female, a ballad or a bop. I just need a 'winner' vibe instantly from the contestant. So the only ones I felt that was from Nemo and Joost. But everything can change after the ESC performance, so we will need to be more patient now and wait. But loving both of them, no hate there : ) and I agree, the code is the most unique entry ever on ESC.
This is the difference from those who like La Noia to those who are a bit "tepid" about it....the latter feel the need for extras...while those like myself need nothing else but her (and would be distracted by dancers and other gizmos). If Nemo can pull the same vocal range live (in all honestly, I was convinced there were a few electronic plugins behind it) then we can have a real surprise - a swiss win this year would be beneficial for Eurovision in becaming a real talent contests (at times it's been just a funny freak show).

The problem is that Europeans are used to watch performances on the Eurovision stage more than listening and assessing music...
Well yeah, Eurovision changed a lot after quarantine. It flipped more to the show than the song contest, but I guess we all love it anyway and continue to love all upcoming years : )
@@nizhoniiwolf I disagree, Eurovision is a song contest, and the most important thing is the song, the staging is important so the song stands out among the plethora of songs, too often similar (for instance this year Malta and Cyprus) but it's always the quality of the song and how it is performed and yes, on a complementing staging, that leads. Then of course silly people may vote for silly reasons, i.e. a comical staging or a pretty dancer pr model who cannot sing but those are just irrational people. imho.

È per questo che l'italia nn vince mai anche se porta canzoni di alta qualità, nn capiscono il testo perché cantano in italiano, ma sappiamo bene che c'è questo problema ma va bene lo stesso per un artista l'omaggio più prezioso è mettere il timbro nella storia della musica e no un concorso che valutano i ballerini, e Angelina il timbro nella storia l'ha già messo a solo in paio di anni di carriera.
