I can see the benefit of getting Dan to do your board because he really knows what he's doing. But then you're missing out on all the fun (and frustration) of building it yourself :)
Foxx Tone Machine is an under-reported fuzz unit! I just got a Basic Audio Foxton (FTM Clone + 1/2 Gain Switch) this year and am so pleased to have it on my board! That Gravitas sounds amazing too!
Adrian Utley just... casually happened to walk on in? if that's a thing that is capable of happening then WHY HAVEN'T YALL DONE A VIDEO WITH THAT MAN YET?
Hey Dan, this kind of content is great for this channel! I'd be interested in The Gig Rig meets... etc and other videos. Almost like an even geekier side channel to That Pedal Show! (if that's even possible... haha!)
Great to see another GigRig video. I absolutely love my QMX-8 and Three2One. These give me a balance to different guitars and a really easy/manageable switch for multiple pedals....no more pedal board river dance.
awesome! I'm almost all the way saved up. my wife, after watching me go through pedals for way too long, learned how to solder/make pedals for me so I could focus on saving up for G2. We've been watching together for some years now, since episode 1 of TPS on your channel. I've learned so much and been turned on to so many great players. Thanks for everything, Dan.
My Ultimate Stoner pedalboard is Caroline Guitar Company pedal>Caroline Guitar Company Pedal>Carol... You get the idea. Kevin Shields eat your heart out. Actually, I think his heart is actually a pedal with a little whammy bar on it.
Neither one of them are terribly expensive. I’ve got one of each and am in line for another KOT. Waiting in line for a year to get a KOT is what sucks. It took 8 weeks to get my red-dot Sunlion.
Hey Daniel, love watching your videos(On Both Channels). They are my favorite. Can you answer a few questions for me. So I have more pedals than I have loops on G2 (14 pedals). Can I control the the other 4 using the remote switches on the G2 or do I need Two Loopy 2’s? I also wanted to know if I need The humdinger if running two amps or do I just use the phase cancellation on the G2? Lastly, I purchased the midi cinco patchbay. I planned on using it as a disconnect at the board. Similar to how I see you use it. I just can’t figure out how to run my guitar cable. I have the cinco, a tuner, a wah, and the input on the G2. Can you please help me? I purchased the custom power path (USA) but I don’t think they thought it all though because if I need 2 loopy 2’s to be able to control all my pedals they were not figured in on the diagram. and they require power. Any and all your help would be greatly appreciated. I apologize for always asking you and Mick so MANY questions. Pedal boards are new to me. Lol. If you have a regular email I can send a photo of my board I built along with my power map diagram if that would help make things less confusing. I asked these question to the USA store but never got a reply. It could be they are to busy. Thank You For What You Do, and what you have created. And Thank You For Your Time Chad Baglin
Hey Dan, Great to see your Lazy J again. It has come the time whee i have to reach out o you and ask you for some advice. Can i ask you please, if you know of a good quality, programmable, extra gain stage/overdrive with two presets , that works well with tweed amps and Telecasters ? I have wasted so much & trying to find something that works well with tweed amps, the closest being the Vemuram Jan Ray, that works well with the blackface amps also. But not programmable. I have a 63 NOS "Time Machine" Tele like yours. That's how I found you originally way back years ago when you had your GigRig channel and you did reviews on pedals. The day i came along you did a review on the Electrode Compressor and the Lazy J Cruiser ( from memory ) How time flys, you have been an inspiration to me in many ways over the years. I also need a programmable delay with two presets, that i can simply save 2 x digital delays times to specific milliseconds via a digital display. I have found the time machine to be overkill for what i need, and the providence chrono 4 to be a problem as it only runs on 12 volts, which for me is a problem and my " pedaltrain" pedalboards. It is also overkill buy one power supply to run 1 x 12 volt pedal. I believe the G2 can save presets, but only if the pedal is midi capable. Is this the case ? Thankyou for you your help, there is a reason why I need programmable foot operated basic effects pedals. cheers and enjoy your music.
That's the same intro/outro music Philip Mcknight uses on his sharpen my axe videos. Jus thought I'd throw it out there in case it was bugging people as to where they had heard it before.
Thanks for replying. Sorry I meant the outro music with your gigrig logo on it is the same as the intro music on the sharpen my axe. At least I think it is. My apologies if I am mistaken.
Dan, do you have a Danplifier? Is that the JCM style amp? The Green Dragon or something? I have one of his 5e3 tweed deluxe amps, 2 watts, in a little head, builds some great stuff and is local to me.... Then again, if it's not ignore this post... Thanks for the board too man! 😊
This is so great! Silly question, but: does TheGigRig sell the actual physical board/flight case that the pedals rest upon? I saw the GigRig label on the top of the case, but don't see these boards for sale on your website...
Great vid, Daniel, and quick question for ya! It looks like that's an original script logo Phase 90 on that board--how are you powering it? They were only battery-powered back then, and while I know GigRig makes a power supply that emulates batteries, those old MXR boxes have nowhere to plug in a power supply. What do you do? Do you have a special input jack, or do you have to actually drill a hole in the enclosure?
Dan just watched paul Gilbert's sweetwater video were he goes through his 'flyboard' man he could do wth one of your setups. Get on it dude cause that would be outstanding
Why your company doesn't use Schmidt Array pedalboards? When I bought the G2 I also ordered a pedalboard from custompedalboards (uk). For a amateur player like me those pedalboards are way way to heavy to cary. I don't have people carrying my stuff. Schmidts pedalboards are way lighter. So I end up selling my old bigger bord, but already spend 500 euro for it.
I like how you're building a stoner board, but playing really upbeat rockabilly in the background, hahahaha!!
Mark Lugg lol yea there should be way more smoke on the water in this vid
i thought it was mr bungle for a split second! none of them knew they were robots.
how much i wish you would live here in Barcelona Dan! you are the master of boards!
I can see the benefit of getting Dan to do your board because he really knows what he's doing. But then you're missing out on all the fun (and frustration) of building it yourself :)
Nice to see you flying solo, Dan. You were always my favourite TPS host.
Bah, Mick is my favourite ;)
It's always nice to work with people we like :)
You've missed a key ingredient of the 'ultimate stoner board'... A spot to keep Pringles.
roach clips...
I'm gonna be hungry for the rest of the night... thanks
Jacobi Mattheson 👌
Jacobi Mattheson that's proper etiquette right there
Make that a Tim Tam tray, he's an Aussie. ;-)
Foxx Tone Machine is an under-reported fuzz unit! I just got a Basic Audio Foxton (FTM Clone + 1/2 Gain Switch) this year and am so pleased to have it on my board! That Gravitas sounds amazing too!
Great video Daniel. I’m really enjoying them. Keep them coming!
Wow!
Thank you for sharing this.
The tone of that first fuzz pedal was sublime :-)
I'd love to see more of these!... nice contrast in length from your other show. :P
I love this type of video. Great job.
10/10 would watch more like this. Love the short format, too.
Love your rig build videos. I've recently started doing builds, and it's fun to see all the ways different people go about it!
great seeing you doing "builds." I like to see more of them.
I saw the title and really hoped Orange Amps sent Matt Pike over to you.
That is a TASTY Nik Huber back there !
You gotta get Adrian on TPS!! Please. He’s one of my heroes
I didn´t anybody could live with such a small pedal board :-)
welcome back Mr GigRig! nice to see a vid from this channel ;)
loved the music! felt like I was watching an episode of Russell Coight
Astonishing work as always.
Now I'm going to have to pull out my old Foxx fuzz. Great vintage pedal. .
Do as many of these as ya want. People including me eat them up. Great content as always🤙🏻
awesome pedals and great build.
What is the Song at the end of the video? sounds amazing!
There’s something very zen about watching a master at work
My only gripe with this video is that it isn't long enough! Great work as always, Dan.
The Foxx Tone - Wow!
Crazy seeing the Roger Mayer Wah! Not a low cost item. I've seen used versions going for $300 US. I wish we could have heard it.
Cool ... Planet Waves Tru Strobe tuner. I thought me and Warren Haynes were the only people that liked those. :)
Would love to see some more gigrig videos.... lots of changes and improvements since the last lot!!
Lots coming up Danny :)
Daniel TheGigRig amaziballs
Portishead are one of my all time favourite bands
Amazing job as always...
Ah, cheers mate :)
Adrian Utley just... casually happened to walk on in?
if that's a thing that is capable of happening then WHY HAVEN'T YALL DONE A VIDEO WITH THAT MAN YET?
Jerru Yes!
I'd buy that for a dollar. Just rewatched live at Roseland. Tone to weep for!
More of this please!.
Beautiful.
Almost perfect, the only thing missing is a Plectrum Homing Beacon Receiver.
Awsome! As usual. Thanks for showing us (sorry, terrible english)
Hey Dan, this kind of content is great for this channel! I'd be interested in The Gig Rig meets... etc and other videos. Almost like an even geekier side channel to That Pedal Show! (if that's even possible... haha!)
Master Dan!
Please get Adrian Utley on TPS! And Rod Breaks..? lets hear more of him as well. Thumbs up!
Would love to see the boards you built for Noel and Gem
Working on it ;)
Daniel TheGigRig I love you even more then I previously did now haha
Surprise Adrian Utley at the end! Iconic player.
All good craftspeople talk to themselves.
HEY DAN! OMG where do i start THAT JAG! RM VISION WAH! BLACK AM KING OF TONE! AND THE FUZZ FEST! WOW.
It’s the most amazing jag I’ve ever played
Nice... Brian Setzer background music.
Awesome dude
I saw that G2 switcher and was like ohh that’s cool to have I wonder how much $$$. Yea $1000 is outrageous.
I would add a boss hm-2 just in case and also an Altoids tin for picks.
Great to see another GigRig video. I absolutely love my QMX-8 and Three2One. These give me a balance to different guitars and a really easy/manageable switch for multiple pedals....no more pedal board river dance.
Ah, cheers B, that’s great, so glad you’re happy. Lots more GigRig vids on the way :)
So far, just an ABYBaby but big plans for clean power soon. Great vid, really appeals to the tech in me.
I wish this video was longer and included more sound examples. Perhaps a stoner/psych/doom TPS episode?
Lol I thought that was Serge from Kasabian
icarusrohit haha me too
Same!
Hi Dan, great video! Would please make a video on how to make the Evidence Audio SIS cables?
Will do :)
What are those custom orange prints/labels under the presets/others?
Does it come with a dolly or is that extra? 😎
Holy shit is that an OP Amp Big Muff on the pedalboard
What is the board / case that is used with the Riser? Nice vid!
I dream about having a gigrig g2 board built by Dan. I know it's nerdy, but dammit, it keeps me going.
Ah, we’ll get one ready for you ;)
A wife who will solder for you is a wife to love til the end of your days, ya hear now!
How the hell have I only just found this? In my 44th year this is what passes for pornography. Spectacular!
Want to hear Adrian talking pedals with you!
That may indeed be on the cards
As would I. He has a great ear for sound.
Boss FZ-2. No longer made, but Electric Wizard in a box.
Thing of beauty
Would've been helpful to hear some of these pedals in combination, and played with some actual stoner style riffs.
@Damiel TheGigRig What are the best overdrive pedals to use in front of an ultra clean fender twin amp?
My Ultimate Stoner pedalboard is Caroline Guitar Company pedal>Caroline Guitar Company Pedal>Carol...
You get the idea.
Kevin Shields eat your heart out. Actually, I think his heart is actually a pedal with a little whammy bar on it.
Nice!
A sunlion and a King Of Tone. He has great tase.
Neither one of them are terribly expensive. I’ve got one of each and am in line for another KOT. Waiting in line for a year to get a KOT is what sucks. It took 8 weeks to get my red-dot Sunlion.
I'm a stoned stoner watching you build a stoner pedalboard.
There has to be a rock pun in there somewhere.
Was the camera still rolling during your hours of 'geeking out' with Adrian Utley? I'd watch that...
Just missing a stashbox...
The analog man pedals are great but where's the Octavia on this stoner board??? Toke, toke it up!
Hey Daniel, love watching your videos(On Both Channels). They are my favorite. Can you answer a few questions for me. So I have more pedals than I have loops on G2 (14 pedals). Dang, this stoner has money! 😁
4:30 it seems the guitarist even remembered the weed!
That's the same intro/outro music Philip Mcknight uses on his sharpen my axe videos. Jus thought I'd throw it out there in case it was bugging people as to where they had heard it before.
Nope, we’ll, at least the intro which was done here
Thanks for replying. Sorry I meant the outro music with your gigrig logo on it is the same as the intro music on the sharpen my axe. At least I think it is. My apologies if I am mistaken.
The Gravitas is something else.
Sure is :)
Any info on that orange LP Jr style guitar on the wall?
I’ve been asking for an Adrian Utley TPS Episode and he just incidentally showed up? Hope you made arrangements.....
And then, you know, Adrian Utley just pops on by... 😳
How do you get a pedal board with a bridge like that
would have loved to hear real "applicaiton" sounds. this was juicy
No blackarts toneworks? Lightweight
what kind of STONER has that kinda LOOT .he/she would have no weed!!!
Love your stuff, but you’ve got to have some talk over. We want to learn while we watch these!
Op Amp Big Muff + Micro Synth was a Siamese Dream lead tone, or so the rumor goes
Great board and great video but such a waste of the Boss DD5, the dry signal on the reverse mode is what sets it apart!
Dan, do you have a Danplifier? Is that the JCM style amp? The Green Dragon or something? I have one of his 5e3 tweed deluxe amps, 2 watts, in a little head, builds some great stuff and is local to me....

This is so great! Silly question, but: does TheGigRig sell the actual physical board/flight case that the pedals rest upon? I saw the GigRig label on the top of the case, but don't see these boards for sale on your website...
Yes, the boards are all custom and made to measure :)
Hey Dan, what's being used to elevate the Cinco Cinco? I believe there is a 1" lip around that board.
I just got the strangest sense of deja vu, like I've seen this before...
Great stuff! How is the Phase 90 being powered?
+Tim Smith Virtual Battery :)
Great vid, Daniel, and quick question for ya! It looks like that's an original script logo Phase 90 on that board--how are you powering it? Do you have a special input jack, or do you have to actually drill a hole in the enclosure?
It uses a different base, the original is tucked safely away, and this other base has a hole cut in it for the virtual battery clip :)
Aha, that makes sense. Thanks for the reply!
No probs :)
This video needs to be longer.
I had no idea this was getting uploads! LETS GO!
That really needed more playing
Dan just watched paul Gilbert's sweetwater video were he goes through his 'flyboard' man he could do wth one of your setups. Get on it dude cause that would be outstanding
Where is the univox superfuzz?
Adrian Utley just shows up to hang out.. no big deal...
Why your company doesn't use Schmidt Array pedalboards? When I bought the G2 I also ordered a pedalboard from custompedalboards (uk). The Analogman worship is real!
What guitar is that? Looks like it has fan frets.
