I stood 3 feet away from Jimi and B.B, at 3 separate concerts. I never saw the three finger trick for power. It was there. Obviously I was not, altogether, so to speak. Great lesson, as always. Thank you.
Again a great vid- Thx keith!! I just took my guitar and one of your books, then I saw this vid- now I am frustrated, everything looks so easy- but damned it is not.... In fall I had been to MI thx Gary, he showed us around...
excellent keith presentation, for those interested albert king not only played left handed upside down (the guitar not his body) but used an open minor tuning, which makes our lives much easier knowing this insanity doesn't it? when strings were out of tune he'd just bend the hell out of 'em until they were in tune, tuning be damned! I got this info from my bassist pal who worked w albert. cliff in tokyo
Hi Keith , some time your Goldtop seems to have a regular stop tailpiece, sometimes ( maybe another Goldtop) seems to have a Wilkinson combo . As I am playing a 2002 R4 , am advice on intonation would be welcome. Thanks for taking care, Bernard from France.
I agree that the audio sounds like outdoors on a windy beach, but the content of this video is great anyway! Keith, you're grayer now than the videos I bought from Hal Leonard! LOL......Looks good on you though, man.....Wish I could play like you do....You make it look so easy! Bless you for sharing your knowledge!
I've got a few instruction Videos from Keith. He is a master instructor!! Even some of his most basic videos intermediate and advanced players will get something out of!
your awsome Keith but im having trouble reading your fingers as you move the progressions up and down on leasson 4.. wish it wasn't so hard to figure out. could you shoot a page of the pictue cord thingies ???
@gsdev1 I feel one should appreciate the great content (and Keith's astounding playing for that matter) and not criticize the sound quality. I love Keith's instructional video and thus love this series of videos, regardless of sound quality. Of course, I'm a guitar player, you might not be. You might be an audiophile; in that case all the power to you. If not, let's stick to the essence please.
Really good lesson! Tone was delicious, and Keith is great at teaching. The thunder storm mic, on the other hand, was a little annoying to say the least!
@wallez666 it doesnt matter on the middle strings but when you get to the b string and the high e string your going to have to bend up otherwise youll go off the side of the fretboard. i prefer bending down too but you should really practice getting used to bending up.
@adammbowman seriously my thoughts exactly, i learned to bend with one finger.... honestly i didnt know that it was "improper" technique...... but i totally agree, the possibilities for improv are endless when you free up other fingers.
What kind of noise are you people complaining about? I admit I listen through my laptop speakers but I don't hear any noise apart from the electric guityar :) Oh no, Keith's tone is very good of course anf his playing is at the top.
I hate it when people say you need more than one finger to bend...you are selling yourself short and preventing yourself from being able to do other string bending tricks if you always use more than finger on the string when you bend...it is actually pretty easy to bend a note with one finger if you practice regularly to build up your hand strength.
Sounds like it was filmed in a windstorm. Sorry to criticize, but it was very distracting. Overhead mic next time, please. Or at least keep the lavalier away from the guitar strap.
Keith has been one of my very favorite instructors for years. Great stuff, and he knows how to teach, instead of just gabbing and riffing.
Mr. Keith Wyatt great teacher ,thank you Sir for all the VHS tapes and DVD'S through the years . Peace and God Bless !!!
Why I didn't discover this guy before? He has talent to teach!
Hey Keith ! Super Tone, super sound and a super lesson !

I think I have all of Keith's tapes back to 1989. He's the best! Wish MI had a Charlotte campus.

Nice guitar!

Where does this video come from ? Thank you !
When I bend I always pull downwards in stead of pushing upwards , is that a mistake or just a style ?
What kind of noise are you people complaining about? I admit I listen through my laptop speakers but I don't hear any noise apart from the electric guityar :)

So much wind in that studio.
Hen I bend I always pull downwords in stead of pushing upwards , is that a mistake or just a style ?
Isn't Keith just great at guitar.
Appears the pickup selector switch is missing the knob.
what strings was he using on that les paul?

Sounds great when you bend 1234
