from watching other folks videos, I've noticed that iron pipes seem to have a max pressure of 180. You have that cloutium booster thing boosting it to 250, so it's still over 180 when it gets to the iron boosters. You would be better off just replacing the iron boosters with regular strait cloutium pipes, it would actually increase the pressure making it to the tier 1 drills.
another neat trick is that the boosters, boost up to the level of the intake pipe so you can run iron pipes all the way from a cloutium intake the right before the drill you can shove in a clout booster and it will boost it to the level of the intake
Couple of points for you. 1. Remove the Conveyor bely in front of the Tier 2 Drills and you will be able to place them. 2. Get rid of the tier 1 boosters on your 20 brills and put in a cloudium pipe to stop the steam escaping. 3. keep up this series.. I am loving them..
or just line t pipes behind the row of drills your trying to place and it'll let you place it and if you place the dirt in the opposite side of the drum it'll take one scoop and work 95% of the time
Yeah, T2 drills don't like to be placed next to existing conveyors. Just put the drills and pipes down first, and then the conveyors and you will be fine ;)
When you are messuring the weight of a item you dont need to drop the item in the scale, you can hover it over the scale, and if you have position your vision right you can see the numbers. Just a quick tip
The steam noise is just an indicator that you're losing pressure. Cloudium pipes can hold up to 370 pressure, the intake without boosters grab 250 pressure, it decays 2.5 per pipe and pressure tanks always bring it back to the same value of the intake. Forged iron pipes of any kind, on the other hand, can only hold 180 pressure, including the pressure tanks you put in front of every drill. With the cloutium pressure tank nearby, you're 100% losing pressure on each and every drill. You would have a much more efficient system just by replacing those iron pressure tanks with straight cloudium pipes. :P
My tip for moving lots of parts is using a cart. You can stack unlimited parts into a cart and it fits in the truck bed. Also the fast cart is way quicker than the pallet.
I found the best way to buy pipes is to get a cart and set it in the shop and then just spam e and it locks on the cart then you can just buy and put the cart in the truck
I can absolutely relate to the frustration you're going through with this game. I love playing it, and find it one of the best games I've played for a long time... but, it's really, REALLY annoying and taxing when placing things (or rather trying to place things). A quick fix to this problem could be to let the player place things wherever they wanted (for example in creative mode), no matter if it's clipping or not. They did that in Satisfactory, which made the game 10 times better.
You really should try loading a cart in shop then you can buy the whole cart of goods and then just hop into the truck. No pallets. No 2x load. Great game play as always. Much love!
11:05 i've had this issue as well, and i've also seen it in other games like Astroneer. It is caused by a single spot of dirt, invisible because there is no dirt around it to connect it's mesh with. What helped me is placing some dirt and removing it again, taking the spot with it.
1:06 You dont need the funnel it drop perfekt in the smelter without it. Even without the center thing 23:46 This thing are OP and it dont need to be reapir i like it Super nice video!
When it comes to the T2 drills, if you try to place one across from another one and there is a belt in between them, it won’t place until you remove the belt. Once you take the belt away, you can place the T2 drills across from one another and afterwards place your belt back in. Some kind of weird collision issue.
It was just the conveyor belt that was stopping that placement, had the same issue. Side tip- placing an object like stairs in between(right or left) the T2's will help with original placement.
as has been mentioned, the conveyor infront of where you are placing the drill is all you have to remove for the drill to place, to make it work leave the flooring untill after you put the dirt either underneath or figure the height you need and raise that part in a line, and my clustering problem is with gemstones and only happens occasionally, i am thinking of separating all the gems to separate crushers as a test but then again im thinking it may cause the problem to move elsewhere, cut gems only being a problem as theyre not killed by the delete resources button or the delete dirt button, which is my answer to the stacking problem. Steam problem ... watch hybridsteels starter tips guid from 25th may and that will tell you why the hissing ...
Leave a saw at the anvil at the top of the stairs. Drop the ingots on the ground and split them as many times as you need to, and then your raw materials are right there.
Tip! make a sperate water valve for your sorting drills and what not. While you're away you will still be making as much dirt and it will just collect on the conveyor until you turn it on. An added bonus is that it's super cool to see the wave of goods flow through the system Edit to clairify: this should fix the iron pile bug, although I think it happens when an airborne piece gets unloaded and frozen in the air.
Also get a fast cart drive into store, then load the cart with what you need, place cart on pad and pay. The items in the cart will not stack while you are gathering. This will also keep from double handling
You can put the pipes into concrete blocks, arrange the pipes in the floor, you will have more space to walk and they will not get in the way. Go to the cart store and buy the quick hand cart one with red handles, more practical than a pallet and also can be loaded onto a truck.
Please look at MODS! Got nice ones for mass purchasing and mass storage of the building components. Just move nicely designed storage containers around then! great video man!
Dude. Just use the magnet. Click it real quick and it should reenable gravity on every chunk it effects. Then they'll all just drop in like they're supposed to. No need to adjust everything. Ye you'll still have to fix it but you won't have to spend hours fiddling with it to get it to stop.
Just an fyi, the iron ore stacking glitch is a matter of chunk loading and unloading. It happens in a bunch of other games and there’s no way to prevent it, unless there’s a way to keep that chunk of the map loaded.
if you use carts in the shops for the pipes you can just load it in the truck. I just load up one type of pipe per cart and it helps me keep a little organized
I’ve used separator into vertical belt into the furnace. No jamming, no funnels. The ore falls one block. The separator vertical and furnace base is on same level
i like the steam effect thanks for adding it onto ur build it adds a little steampunk to the build i run a circuit when im in the forge.. i make something run it off the end chuck it on the belt so it goes to the truck then run back pick upp block then chuck it back in the crucible
You’ll get steam sounds if you have cloutium pipes with iron drills (T1). The cloutium pipes carry more pressure than the T1 drills and harvesters can handle.
Man this game should come with a bottle of Excedrin. What a migraine, but still an amazing job by you. Thanks for the episode, and the massive commitment you put into it. Can't wait to see what bugs out when you have a millions worth of coins in a bucket lol. Thanks for the episode, and take care!
If you drive the truck to the back of the store, you can directly pull all the pipes or other stuff into the back rather than using a pallet. (7:13 right where you're looking here)
5:10 you can save time running up and down the stairs if you just bring a saw and scale and cut the bars up and just put in what you need for each item. then you can stay at the top and keep putting more bars in 11:50 its the coveyors that need to be moved the tier 2 dosent like being placed infront of one for some reason im sure this will get patched
Still surprised Diesel hasn't bought the upgraded trucks with a whole lot more torque. Also your using the iron forged boosters that connects to the cloutium pipes creating the pressure difference and hence the steam. Replace them with cloutium boosters and that'll stop the steam.
the hissing is from tier 2 water pressure on tier 1 equipment . It is supposed to make your stuff break down faster but I have been lucky and nothing has broken in over 50 hours.(bugged i know but meh)
Your just a little bit ahead of me I went to the aquifer cuz until we get tier 3 didn't see reason to go to tier 3 dirt yet. So I have 24 tier 1 drills and 4 tier 2 drill atm. I am ready to add 9 more tier 2 drills when I get home. Note the 24 tier 1 make big nuggets too!!??! Looking good tho like your setup. I'd post mine but noone watches lol. Each set of 4 make a big dirt
Stalagmite grows mighty like a mountain. Stalactites come down like a pair of ladies tights. Least that's how I learnt the difference back at school.... not the official way, but it stuck.
I have not tested this but If you'd like to stop that iron from clumping up why not have a splitter after the havester to split all ores in half, and a new set of splitters heading back into the funnels above or adjacent, theoreticaly it would cut the through put to that one side in half "Maybe"
Diesel bro use the pickaxe and the rake to quickly make a nice tunnel underground. The counts beautifully cut the cubes of the earth when a wall under the ground is breached by a pickaxe.
Does the dirt Chang to tier 1 by bringing it up to ground level? If this is the case wouldn’t you get better nuggets and gems by processing them down in floors 9-15 with tier 2 processors?
Someone else found out that its the belt that is preventing you from placing the drill.... Remove any belts in front of the drill before placing. I rage deleted the game because of that.. thank goodness for cloud saves.
Yes, Cart in shop, load cart, pull cart to purchase platform, purchase, pull cart into truck ..prepare for frame drop.. Man If I was still loading trucks full of things the way you just did I would have quit the game ages ago. I remember a time before carts. Was hard times in bridgepour.
There's a little alley next the shop where you boguht all those pipes. If you drive down it you can drive into the shop and then place your pipes into the truck on the buy pad thing. Then you just click the buy button and drive away because it was already on your trucks bed.
I wonder... does it really make sense to put a booster next to every miner... now the miner will work 100%, but will use 3 slots... if you put the pipework on the same hight as the T2 miner's inlet, always behind the miner a booster and then T off it with an L into it, it would only be 2 wide and working on a 98% basis with cloudium pipes... that would be way more space efficient, right?
"All of you are triggered." Me, who doesn't even play the game: "Honestly that's probably how I'd do it tbh" Also I bet you looked fabulous in a dress, Diesel.
_there's no such thing as right or wrong in hydroneer, only efficiency and profit!_ (consider using the Rake for a finer dirt sculpting, like straight, flat dirt walls and floors)
all those little hiccups with getting things to go where you want and for drills and such to work right away.. is why i do not place any kind of blocks down around my builds until everything is up and running and going without any glitches for quite awhile before I even think about buildings or floors or any such odds and ends
Idea……Why don’t you build a stair case out of the small hole in front of the castle and make a room around it up top…. Like a second entrance into the mine

I'm pretty sure that the T1 drills have a max speed that they hit at 180% pressure anyways, so it's effectively the same thing

I actually love the steam spray from the cloutium to regular pipe effect.... it gives the whole thing more of a feeling of actually industry happening
The steam noise is just an indicator that you're losing pressure. Cloudium pipes can hold up to 370 pressure, the intake without boosters grab 250 pressure, it decays 2.5 per pipe and pressure tanks always bring it back to the same value of the intake.

Replace the Iron Pressure Vessel with the Cloutium Pressure Vessel going into the Drills, that will take care of the Noise/Steam Issue.
My tip for moving lots of parts is using a cart. You can stack unlimited parts into a cart and it fits in the truck bed. Also the fast cart is way quicker than the pallet.
stalagmites have the mite to grow upwards, and stalactites are tight because they hang downward.
I found the best way to buy pipes is to get a cart and set it in the shop and then just spam e and it locks on the cart then you can just buy and put the cart in the truck

Steam sounds are from the cloutium pipes going into iron power boosters. Change them to cloutium boosters and your noise issues will be gone
You really should try loading a cart in shop then you can buy the whole cart of goods and then just hop into the truck. No pallets. No 2x load.
Great game play as always.
Much love!
Can also just back the truck straight into the buying section of the main pipe shop, so you're not moving every item twice.

Gotta say, the game is hillariously broken sometimes, iv'e had sooooo many things not wanting to work for some specific reason
I just started, but highly addicted. From what i have seen in past version videos the devs are hard at work, i think this game has a bright future
2:00 listen to that
Me: sounds like a normal launch in kerbal space program
From what I've seen you can use the rake for clearing larger spaces instead of the pickaxe
as has been mentioned, the conveyor infront of where you are placing the drill is all you have to remove for the drill to place, to make it work leave the flooring untill after you put the dirt either underneath or figure the height you need and raise that part in a line, and my clustering problem is with gemstones and only happens occasionally, i am thinking of separating all the gems to separate crushers as a test but then again im thinking it may cause the problem to move elsewhere, cut gems only being a problem as theyre not killed by the delete resources button or the delete dirt button, which is my answer to the stacking problem.

Loading, unloading trucks? I hear ya Diesel, I hear ya!

Stalagmites, you might trip over it, Stalactites hang tightly to the ceiling :)
you can also use sheet metal roofing to guide the lumps from the funnel to the belt.
I am loving this series Diesel. Keep this up and then tier 3 will come out soon.
I love the castle entrance you built! Very cute!
...but your princess is in another castle.
You can put the pipes into concrete blocks, arrange the pipes in the floor, you will have more space to walk and they will not get in the way.

I believe the steam noise is coming from the high Coladium pipe going into the Iron pressure booster.
I have no clue why, but when he used the phrase "chaps my ass." I laughed so hard i was tearing up.
Bouncing from Creator to Creator its great to see all the different build approaches
Dude. Just use the magnet. Click it real quick and it should reenable gravity on every chunk it effects. Then they'll all just drop in like they're supposed to. No need to adjust everything. Ye you'll still have to fix it but you won't have to spend hours fiddling with it to get it to stop.

The separator vertical and furnace base is on same level
If you take all your T2 drills and move them up 1 and put a T pipe in you can put in an extra 10 T2 drills without much work.
When buying a lot of stuff from the shop at Bridgepour, drive the truck around the back and load from there!
i like the steam effect thanks for adding it onto ur build it adds a little steampunk to the build
i run a circuit when im in the forge.. i make something run it off the end chuck it on the belt so it goes to the truck then run back pick upp block then chuck it back in the crucible

Bulk buy crates and storage crates really help buying and transporting stuff.
I did that in the first area with 14 of those stompers. You get rich so fast. Now working on another compound to build a huge Production.
Diesel, you can drive the truck around the other side of the shop, back it in, and load it before buying. Then it's all loaded, hit purchase
He sounds like markiplier
If you drive the truck to the back of the store, you can directly pull all the pipes or other stuff into the back rather than using a pallet. (7:13 right where you're looking here)
This video really shows off the new 'wave' system with the iron drills to reduce lag
You should get some tier 2 water filters
5:10 you can save time running up and down the stairs if you just bring a saw and scale and cut the bars up and just put in what you need for each item. then you can stay at the top and keep putting more bars in
11:50 its the coveyors that need to be moved the tier 2 dosent like being placed infront of one for some reason im sure this will get patched

You could use those decorative wood pieces to mimic oldtime mine braces and props

Stalagmite grows mighty like a mountain. Stalactites come down like a pair of ladies tights. Least that's how I learnt the difference back at school.... not the official way, but it stuck.
That steam noise usually means a t2 pipe connecting to a t1 thing, represents the loss of pressure
I have not tested this but If you'd like to stop that iron from clumping up why not have a splitter after the havester to split all ores in half, and a new set of splitters heading back into the funnels above or adjacent, theoreticaly it would cut the through put to that one side in half "Maybe"
Further testing, no funnel seems to work just fine
Geologist here. Stalactites hold "tight" to the roof. Stalagmites "might" one day reach the roof.
Extend them upwards, so the smelters are on your level. It might also look better that way.
Replace the staircase foundations with regular flooring, that would give the needed headroom
Diesel bro use the pickaxe and the rake to quickly make a nice tunnel underground. The counts beautifully cut the cubes of the earth when a wall under the ground is breached by a pickaxe.
You better believe I’ll hit it in the back…. Lol that one got me
Does the dirt Chang to tier 1 by bringing it up to ground level? If this is the case wouldn’t you get better nuggets and gems by processing them down in floors 9-15 with tier 2 processors?
The conveyers block the T2 drills from being placed.
You probably did figure it now by this time, but at 7:58 you can park the truck beside the loading zone on the other street.
You can reverse your truck in from the other side and put the pipes directly onto the truck
Set a logic magnet (in loop)at the top it help a bit
11:00 When the T2 miner refuses to be placed, you need to temporarily remove the belt next to it.
Someone else found out that its the belt that is preventing you from placing the drill.... Remove any belts in front of the drill before placing. I rage deleted the game because of that.. thank goodness for cloud saves.
Stalagtites hold on tight from the top .
you did amazing work 👀👀👀 this must have taken hours of screen too accomplice thx for the hard work ❤️
Pretty sure you have gold in your gem compressor (26:00)
You should add counters to the end of the belts just for science reasons to see how much goes into each cauldron
Yes, Cart in shop, load cart, pull cart to purchase platform, purchase, pull cart into truck ..prepare for frame drop..

You can drive the truck in from det behind at tool and equipement shop in bridgepour now.

Stick all the pipes in a cart while in the shop and hop the cart into the car and enjoy the lag :D
"All of you are triggered."
Me, who doesn't even play the game: "Honestly that's probably how I'd do it tbh"
Also I bet you looked fabulous in a dress, Diesel.
Stalagmites might reach the ceiling
Stalactites hang tight to the ceiling
_there's no such thing as right or wrong in hydroneer, only efficiency and profit!_ (consider using the Rake for a finer dirt sculpting, like straight, flat dirt walls and floors)
I found that the tier 2 drills don't like to be placed next to conveyors, removing them works for me.

If you put tier 1 pipes at the end of tier 2 pipes your bottle necking the pressure and get steam.
Just love the eld hydroneer
Love watching the videos. Was playing this but then got the blue screen of death on my computer. 🥺
Easy way to remember.
stalaGmite - ground
stalaCtite - ceiling
T2 drills have to be placed before the conveyer belts :(
Interesting, didn't know you could mix tiers of pipes, I assumed since it leaked at the seam it wouldn't run a machine
Up and Atom - Has someone been watching reruns of Merlin? xD
Lol, if you were planting the T2 drills in a solid dirt floor, that would remove at least 1 issue
Shouldn’t the magnet make backed up ore drop in one go?
I believe the cost was FPS (Frames Per Second)
I want more hahahaha uts so nice to watching this
You probably should invest in some pallets.
Idea……Why don’t you build a stair case out of the small hole in front of the castle and make a room around it up top…. Like a second entrance into the mine
