In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to recreate a stunning stone monument effect using Photoshop and Adobe Firefly. I’ll walk you through each step, from transforming text into weathered stone monuments to integrating them into a mountainous landscape. We’ll also add final touches like birds and a human figure to give the scene a realistic sense of scale.
If you want to follow along, I’ve included all the image assets in the link above. Just keep in mind that since we’re using Adobe Firefly, your results might not look exactly like mine, but that’s part of the creative process!
We’ll start by creating a composition reference in Photoshop, roughing up the edges of the text, and using various filters to achieve that stone texture. Then, I’ll guide you through the process of generating the mountainous background in Adobe Firefly, tweaking settings to get just the right look. Finally, we’ll return to Photoshop to add some finishing touches, like birds and a person, to bring everything together.
Whether you’re a Photoshop pro or just getting started, this tutorial has something for everyone. Make sure to download the assets, subscribe to my channel, and check out the professional training and tools I offer at Nucly.com.

What an amazing tutorial! Not only did we create a stunning image, but we also picked up some awesome techniques along the way. Thank you!
As always a very well explained tutorial, thanks.
Loved it, thank you!
Really nice Rikard. Your skill is amazing! Thank you for your tutorials.
what amazing that good layers making a deal. I want to learn more from his photoshop training. I need him teach me..... 🙌
amazing mind-blowing
Woohoo! I requested this tutorial in the Academy so thank you!! 👏Wow, I didn't realize this was created with AI, so appreciate the dive into Firefly, which is a first experience for me! I have to be honest that I'm having a difficult time embracing AI in my design world. It's uncontrollably in my face, just trying to figure out how to best connect with and use it for creative good. Aaaaargh! 🤔
I understand the sentiment! The more I retain creative agency, the better I feel about it. In this tutorial, you'll see that you retain A LOT of creative control of the final outcome.
brilliant.
thanks a lot 💫
The glow from the sun added to the effect, but this process was not explained. Just curious. Great tutorial!
That's a flare overlay set to screen blending mode. I cover how to do that here: ruclips.net/video/ltveLAEVmHs/видео.htmlsi=Gm3ZuCBAyLm7t9r8
I’ve also noticed the generate similar option is broken. It’s does get rid of your composition reference, which then results in generations that are not similar at all to the one you chose.
Thank you so much! This is exactly what I was looking for. A quick question: although I selected the 'hyperrealistic' option, the image still looks like a drawing. How can I make it even more realistic?
Try choosing "Cinematic" in the style options. Also, adding camera names, lenses and key words can help. For example, "Nikon, 1.8f 85mm lens, bokeh"
@@nuclylearn Owkey, will try that too. Looking forward. New subscriber!
I have Photoshop 2024, and I have the most recent Photoshop Beta, but I don't currently have Firefly. I tried generating using the reference image suggested in your tutorial, but Photoshop Beta didn't accept the Nucly Mountain reference image.
