Coming here 4 years later just to inform you, sir, how much this helped me in my early days of CS, and how much impact this video still has on my gameplay. In my opinion, this is the best video you ever posted to your channel, so, thank you.
ApGO :3 yeah, but even if u know it, you probably dont use it very often. So, this video would help u to understand the huge advantages you get out of it and make u practice it
1:24 I think this has to do with your reaction time from when you see something to your reaction. This player has become familiar with that reaction time, and has learned how late he reacts from when he sees the enemy peek out, so he knows how far away from an angle he needs to aim, to just think about clicking when he sees someone.
I have been playing cs for a long time, and knowing the crosshair placement is an absolute must, but what this video talks about is much deeper. This idea of visualizing the enemy through thought out prediction is definitely a game changer and adds more complexity to the game and allows players to develop more than before. Really good video.
i am about to start teaching one of my friends how to play counter strike, and one of the things he told me that he struggles with is crosshair placement this video is perfect and the upload literally couldn't be timed better. thanks dude!
On angle or situations where you know the enemy will be running out instead of short peeking, you can figure out a consistent way to determine how far away from a corner to place your crosshair: Your reaction time (in ms) * speed of enemy (in units, use cl_showpos 1 and run in a straight line with whatever weapon (e.g. ak47))
One of the best videolessons for any shooter ever, I watched this video a long time ago and it was very helpful, thank you Swag, and thank you Launders.
Launders, you're great dude. Keep being you. The visualization thing was explained to me previously by a very high hour player. Thanks for refreshing it.
How I was trying to teach my little brother when I was showing him how to play Counter-Strike is that you in for where person is going to be when you finally react if they run out and try to charge you down or run out. The reason I taught him that he's because when flicking it's always easier to flick to a distance that you already know instead of flicking to a distance where you have to estimate and guess as they're running out so it's easier to slick back to the corner if they try to slow peek than it is to dynamically flick towards them.
I just want to say thank you for making this video, after only a few days of following this advice i can see myself becoming better, and it has really opened my eyes to how important these things are.
Holy balls the editing is great in this video. And the content as a whole. "A debilitated toddler with no motor skills could hit this shot..." 10/10. Also, did your voice get sexier?
after starting to really think about crosshair placements and getting these kind of kills, everyone in my pug starting talking about my prefires and how i always know where everyone is and that im a cheater, its going pretty well for me
Very well put together. I like the video style. It's really informative but short and relaxing to watch without the need to watch it 20x over to get the concept. Kudos and +1 for swag
This was very well elaborated, gave me some in-depth information on ways to improve yourself, I knew the generics, but this brought the science with its flawless editing.
I now understand why Swag holds his crosshair at those wide angles. Even if the opponent makes a tight half peek, he'd be making an easier flick to the opponent standing still peeking tight, vs. placing a crosshair at a tight angle and having your opponent swing wide at a fast speed, which usually results in a spray on your part, which requires much more control, especially at longer distances. Very well explained
This is something that came so naturally to me and CS 1.6 and source but in cs:go still to this day I still have no idea how far someone will peek out or if they will peek it perfectly.
Really interesting perspective on what separates the good from the great. It's not always immediately obvious how a player like swag can read his opponent so well and act accordingly to deal with the situation, this video gives a great insight into the deeper level of understanding of the game that's the pros have.
Really good video. Way to make the distinction between holding tight and holding wide for online play. A lot of people look at LAN demos and hold too tight, me being one of them in the past. Great vid, subbed.

ApGO :3 yeah, but even if u know it, you probably dont use it very often. So, this video would help u to understand the huge advantages you get out of it and make u practice it
How would you not use it very often as a high skilled player?, not being ironic, just intersted in your opinion.
Magical editing and soothing voice, subbed! :)
great video. nathan is a god. more in depth stuff like this would be insane

Launders you're on point with this video editing.
I have been playing cs for a long time, and knowing the crosshair placement is an absolute must, but what this video talks about is much deeper. This idea of visualizing the enemy through thought out prediction is definitely a game changer and adds more complexity to the game and allows players to develop more than before. Really good video.

Simple, sweet, and so fucking effective. Kudos.

I remember this video changing the way I played back in the day. Made me so much more confident when it came to defending a site.
i am about to start teaching one of my friends how to play counter strike, and one of the things he told me that he struggles with is crosshair placement

You the real MVP for making this and noticing such minute but significant details.
I really appreciate the editing, it just makes this video so much more valuable.

No one can be disappointed. You gave us a title and you answered it completely.
The first few shots of the CT somehow reminded me of Dice Videos about Battlefield 3 DLCs. Very professionally made.
I am blown away at how well this video was composited and edited, I would subscribe again if I could.
Really sick production value man, love it
Dayum this editing got me drooling!

Launders, you're great dude. Keep being you.
The visualization thing was explained to me previously by a very high hour player. Thanks for refreshing it.
this video is legit beautifully executed holy shit.
This video is so well made.I still can't believe it.
I remember watching this video back in the day. I still think that swag is the biggest "what if" in csgo
exactly how I play, glad someone made a video explaining the importance of head level/anticipation crosshair placement
this video is very helpful, i used to aim very tight but now i see the difference. Thank you bro!
dope vid! high prod value and good piece from the man himself BoxrS

This was very well elaborated, gave me some in-depth information on ways to improve yourself, I knew the generics, but this brought the science with its flawless editing.
I'm just seeing this video, but everything on this was an A+. very, very well made.
I now understand why Swag holds his crosshair at those wide angles. Great vid, subbed.
