Oh THIS one. I remember watching this on a bad movie night and losing my mind. Primarily because of how much the plot has weird similarities to The Dark Knight Rises.
I still find it hard to believe that anime legend Shingo Araki, who worked on and did the character designs for the anime adaptations of The Rose of Versailles, Ashita no Joe, and _Saint Seiya_ actually worked on this hot mess of a movie.
I remember enjoying this movie when I was a kid. I first saw this on the Disney Channel. Looking back I can definitely understand the cringe behind it. However, I mostly liked it because it had some familiar voice actors like Barry Gordon and Lorenzo Music.
If you want a flagship female cereal mascot, I'll point you to Honey B on Kellogg's Miel Pops/Honey Loops (successor to their former bee mascot Loopy) Wow, I only vaguely recall the ABC Computer Critters
A little late but life gets in the way sometimes. I wanted a nice, free time to watch uninterrupted. Oh god this was my childhood fever dream. I guess I saw it on TV but maybe had a VHS. And being on the spectrum I went ham on it. I even bought the DVD as an adult just to contemplate WTF I was thinking. One saving grace is the character designs, I was born a furry and this let me know it. I was all in on furry women. And men. Oh the dudes helped activate my bisexuality so hard. As you say, it's not a great movie, but it has aspects and elements that are enjoyable. Like Rob vaguely being homoerotically harassed and propositioned by gay biker stereotypes and just a straight up evolved leatherman, the chain man. This movie is concentrated Rule 34, it's obscure but cries out for there to be porn of almost every character. Except the panda. And more excellent commercials! 1:19:12 - 1:19:18 That vocal filter or audio mix almost qualified as a jumpscare but I loved it, it was 100% on point.
