《少年锦衣卫》讲述的是一个卧底的故事，而非寻常的江湖奇遇，恩怨传奇。主人公就是一正一邪的两个卧底，一个是卧虎，一个是藏龙，他们的悲凉命运以及刚烈抉择，是全剧跃动的脉搏。这是一个发生在大明朝的《无间道》故事，不是警方与黑帮的对峙，而是锦衣卫与谋叛藩王之间的角逐。 　　武侠片中其实从来不缺锦衣卫，他们在那里总是助纣为虐的朝廷鹰犬，与东厂西厂齐名，一样的阴鸷险恶。 　　其实呢，锦衣卫是皇家禁卫军中的精英才俊，磊落男儿，既有市井丁壮，也有勋臣后裔，并非东西厂一般，由宦官指挥，专走阴险路线。历任指挥使中，不乏悯忠护贤的卓绝之士，有的甚至不惜以去就相争，气节不亚于言官谏臣。而锦衣卫成员与指挥使的关系，也有一种特别的袍泽之情。。。
