Yeap, couldn't agree more. But I deduced that by watching some early gameplay from a few channels and waited days to get more even samples, plus I played darktide on gamepass for a whole month. It's still on my wishlist.
A note about Operator's medic drone: It only has 3(4?) "charges". 1 charge being consumed upon healing an ally, 1 consumed on revivng an ally. Once all charges have been consumed it will disappear until resummoned, and on being summoned revives allies up to 30m away. It seems to only use it's healing charge on you (when below 90%) and on an ally (when below 50%). I'm not certain on how many times it can actually heal/revive, but I've seen up to 4 but with 3 being more consistent.
The whole game looks like a reskin or a total conversion mod of "Second Extinction". All the Dinosurs turned to Bugs, there are more than 4 players and the snow desert is a sand desert now. Even the bases and its buildings look very familiar.
I love voice chat in this game (most of the time). It feels so great to be surrounded by fellow nerds. They do need to add a mute function though. Some people can be a bit... much.

is it possible to play with bots? because if nobody is currently is playing or if the game is dead (which it will eventually die, probably not soon but eventually) does that make it unplayable?
Game is unbalanced at this time. Sometimes, while at a level 18 Bastion...in siege mode, I die after two or three hits from a small bug in wave two while in most games you hold out pretty well. It rather annoying after waiting up to 5 or 6 minutes to get into EACH game. I have better games to play for the 30 minutes I sit waiting to play five matches...some that only last a few minutes because no one knows how to make a base or collect ore before gas.
I love starship troopers. But this game is a nope for me. I dont want to buy games that are proprietary closed servers only. If they stop running servers, your paid software is now useless. Now, if they release dedicated servers for me to run. It would be an immediate buy for me.
The Downside of singleplayer games is that once you're finished, you're finished depending on the replayability of the game (elden ring,fallout,skyrim,RDR) if you keep playing it again and again it just burns you out. MP can be enjoyed with the 'Randomness' of diff people, some servers are role playing some just wanna fuck around. Imo MP increases the longevity of the game. And its more fun to play with friends rather than playing by yourself like a depressed hermit. Dont get me wrong i love SP too (still salty that rdr2 didnt win GOTY) but once i finish a game ill try to forget about it maybe a year and then play it again.
