Sir. I am purchased seiko automatic watch in 1983.. still running in good condition with out any issues.. seiko watch is also best...😍
I highly recommend buying either the seiko Szsb011 or 012. This watch is often referred to as the replacement of the discontinued SARB series which now sells for around 1000 dollars.
Some people have even gone as far as giving it the nickname “baby GS” (grand seiko)
While the quality is not to be compared to a Grand Seiko (of course) The SZSB is still a gorgeous and very affordable watch that i think is worth considering. I recently added the 011, which is the one with a white dial, to my collection. Absolutely stunning piece!
My second recommendation would be the seiko presage cocktail time series, specifically the reference SRPB41J1. This watch has (imo) the most beautiful dial for the price. I upgraded mine with a sapphire crystal, because of the fact that the dome styled hardlex crystal got scratched easily.
In the terms of sheer number of iconic models and pound to pound resale value there is no other brand who can match the Seiko.

They are great watches for the price, are far cheaper than the Swiss entry watches, such as Mido etc. The vast number of models is certaintly confusing. Personally, I'd rather buy a Grand Sieko, hi beat or Spring to match the Swiss one i have.. However I'm still tempted with the prospex Lake or whatever. They've done a great job at the price point

Grand Seiko white Snowflake is the best one they make ,with its Titanium strap.
All three of the 5 Sport watches shown are discontinued. You can still buy them but it would have been nice to see their newer counterparts.
discontinuing a watch is a well known cause of increasing values.
My first automatic watch was a Seiko and one of my favorite watches has a Seiko movement. Unfortunately my Seiko watch became magnetized. Need to get it fixed.
They sell affordable demagnetizers on eBay for between $10 and $37 USD depending on what style you think works best. I'm thinking of getting one myself, just in case.

Called the red alpinist, released in 1995, ref SCVF009 and only sold on japanese market during 2 years. Very rare.

I have not worn a wrist watch since l bought a mobile phone, no need for one anymore except for those that want to make a fashion statement.
And that's what this co.pany is hoping for.
Phones are also fashion statements....but watches are also like jewellery, and tools at the same time. I have recently gone back to wearing a watch, but not just any watch, I bought 2 seiko autos and they are beautiful and functional. They will last a very long time, unlike my phone......

Grand Seiko is still a Seiko,just resale value of almost every ordinary Seiko is pound to pound better than any Rolex or AP. Marine master,original Tuna,62mas,Sawtooth,Pouge,
Ripley, Samurai,Williard,first Turtle,G757(which Casio blatantly copied) and manny others Seikos are considered as grail watches for Manny watch lovers!!
