On fire guy from eBay was my go To for capsules and tubes for the longest time. It has been over a year since I’ve purchased any tho. The quality of the capsules are important. Sometimes you do get what you pay for. 🤩🤩🤩👃🏻
I put everything I buy into air-tites too. Wonder how you clean before putting the coins in. I use a microfiber cloth to wipe my coins clean before putting them into the air-tite capsule.
They've raised the premium on those American Eagles so much they can keep them. I don't like buying already at a loss. I buy older junk silver. I've never lost money on junk silver or numismatic coins. I go to coin shows every month where I live and buy coins. I flat out tell them I'm a buyer not a retail buyer. I usually take from 500 to a thousand but it's up to them If I'm a buyer or not. I don't pay retail for anything.
Thanks, just ordered some capsules & tubes for some silver maple leafs while I'm waiting for silver to not be at $27. Got a discounted box for slabbed coins too.
coin tubes are a great way to start organizing your collection, even if you are just a stacker, because you start to group, separate and start to organize your coins, totally tubular man!
I'll need to find tubes like yours. Mine barely hold the coin without the capsule. I love organization and this beats the 2x2 that I just started putting some of my coins in. I do have many in capsules and this a really great idea. Thanks for video!
Unless the coin or the round is in a factory sealed container , all my .999 fs go in air tites and coin tubes even some 90% silver goes in air tites and tubes . It keeps them better organized and easier to move around . They stack better and take up less space
Very nice Speg. I still prefer 2"x2" flips in a 20 count sleeve that is then put into a 3 ring binder. Wow I got that out. However, you protect your coins is a smart move
I watch all your videos beginning to end, SpegTacular The Tubular Silver Stackular, right up till that metal door (to the safe?) slams shut. And yes, taking good care of and properly securing whatever one stacks/collects is just as important as acquiring the goods. No, actually it is more important. Thanks Speg, for another great video interspersed with your wry humour 😀
I stack ASE, constitutional silver and gold. I also collect Series such as Star Wars and Pandas. I know it cost a little more but I like Lighthouse presentation cases. I can look at each coin easier than taking them out of tube.
I keep them in capsules, but I also like to touch and handle them and look at them with my loupe. So, I mark one capsule of each country/year and that is the ONE coin I handle when I get the urge. I think I am nerdier than you.
I have a love hate with caps and tubes I love holding my silver with my bear hands hahaha but I have kids too and we need to keep away ! Haha thanks for the video will check out the website! Dude tell em about it I live in Miami I’m here with jacket and sandals hahaha
All my constitutional, foreign and domestic (dollars excluded), go in paper tubes because I've been a prepper long before a stacker, and discretion is important, esp in transport. 56 dimes to a roll, 42 quts and 21 halves for even(ish) counting (51&42&20/canadian, UK and others are different)
I don't know if the few tubes I own are the same brand as yours, but they look the same. I would note, they're not indestructible, heh. I had one roll off a tabletop and shatter when it hit a hard floor. I'm sure it would've been alright if empty, but it was loaded and heavy.
I keep my semi numismatic stuff in air tites, but I keep my silver eagles raw in the green top mint tubes and generic silver rounds go raw in those white tubes. Reason being, when you take your SEs or generic rounds to sell them, coin shops aren't going to give you anything extra for them being in a capsule.
@@Nicker2b I'm talking about bullion, not numismatic (collectable) or semi-numismatic coins/rounds. No, when you take, for instance, 100 silver eagles or generic silver rounds (think buffalo or sunshine rounds) to a coin dealer or bullion dealer, they are not going to give you any more money if the coins/rounds are in capsules. They are, most likely, going to give you spot price for the generics, and a dollar or two over spot for the silver eagles, whether or not they are in capsules. So, for bullion, you just wasted the money you spent on the capsules. I do put my collectible stuff in capsules, just not my bullion. Everyone has their own way of doing things.
I live in Utah and am very glad that the monolith was torn down! As I expected, people were destroying the area around it and leaving trash everywhere. Sounds like it was a local environmental group who tore down the Utah one.
All my stuff goes into capsules but need to get some better capsules that fit these tubes so ubcan store the capsules in there for better storage I'm running out of room and tired of box's lol
You can shop JPs Corner if you like, but I can't get them to deal with the constant JPs Corner logo covering every single page. They tried to tell me it's my browser (I use an iPad) and my software needs to be updated, etc. Never a problem on their site, just me. So I use On Fire Guy or Amazon. Same products and way better service. Just my 2 cents.
I too am a big fan of capsules and tubes. I have started storing my tubes in Canadian monster boxes safe organization. Do you have any tips for safe organization? I figured by using monster boxes (that I label accordingly) , I can remove my PMs quickly if needed. My problem before was digging through my safe trying to get at what I need. Thank you for the great video! I will definitely checkout JP coins, but I usually use On Fire Guy, or Air-tite .com. Thanks again!
I like capsules and tubes as well, but I have been made to feel like a dumb ass for buying capsules for "Bullion" or ASE coins. Rule of thumb is Bullion coins do not need a capsule anymore than a 100 pound bar, that seems to be most peoples opinion.....
I know having a coin in a capsule can help attract a buyer on ebay over one without, but anyone have experience when selling to an LCS/pawn shop? Can you negotiate an extra 50 cents or so an oz, or are most pretty hardline about paying the same as they would for a coin in the same shape but minus a capsule?
Utah, there and gone. Rumania and one in California that was torn down. I guess some of you feel pretty silly now. I bet you wish you'd listened to Mulder and Scully 🤭
I’ve spend hundreds on those real air tites and tubes from the USA to here in the uk, they are the best must buy for anyone in the hobby the rest are so tacky in comparison!
DO not incapsulate silver eagles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Put them in tubes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its a waste of money!!!!! only incapsulate gold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or coins with numismatic value!!!!!!!!
I think this is pretty much the mistake every stacker makes when they begin, I just look at all these airtights I bought and think about the ounce of silver I could've bought instead
"Gunk and chocolate poop", lol! Sounds like you're hanging around with me too much.
"Call me a coin nerd if you want." Spegtacular, we're *all* coin nerds here! 😃
tubes and capsules are my favorite way to organize and store
I use tubes for setting stacking goals. Having a mostly empty tube is a great motivator to find some more deals.

Same here o fire guy.
Onfireguy is awesome! Use their website directly though!
I like all the air tights and tubes. They really protect and seal in the resale value.
How is the coin guy doing?
I use tubes.. but my problem is I need a lot more coins to fill all the tubes I have. LOL
I put everything I buy into air-tites too. Wonder how you clean before putting the coins in. I use a microfiber cloth to wipe my coins clean before putting them into the air-tite capsule.

I’ve been in that mood about Eagles too lately
"What do you think about tubes?" Good idea, but I think you need to buy them from the Coin Guy instead.
Thanks, just ordered some capsules & tubes for some silver maple leafs while I'm waiting for silver to not be at $27. Got a discounted box for slabbed coins too.
The foam works to fill the space in partial filled tubes so they fit tightly.
I love that fractional Krug. I don't see many gold Krugs floating around up here in Canada, never see any fractional. great video.
The monoliths are a mystery! 👽
Love JP's corner. Buy all my tubes and airtites from them. Great video.
On fire guy has been my go to guy for these tubes, but I’m open to check out others.
coin tubes are a great way to start organizing your collection, even if you are just a stacker, because you start to group, separate and start to organize your coins, totally tubular man!
I Love the fact you're such a dork when it comes to your capsules and tubes. I mean that in the nicest way Speg!
I love the tubes to people say there to expensive but I want keep my stuff nice .
Plus it's always nice to finish filling a tube
Your funny bud, i love your channel, you make me laugh. I just use mint tubes. 😋🏴☠️
Morning SpegTacular!
I put my gold coins in air-tites but i keep them in my treasure chest. 🏴☠️
✌
Great video Speg. This is the best way to store your premium gold and silver!!
I use these all the time, I also add a 2 gram Silica Gel Desiccant to reduce any humidity.

You can get a hundred count at the coin shop with the box. I like 2x2s also I can write info on them.
@@ricktempleton3107 100 count sleeve? I have never seen that before.
@@mikebrewer5758 sorry i meant the 2x2 cardboard flips

Small investment to protect your investment. People that don't will regret it when it comes time to sell.
Just bought some tubes I had coins everywhere much nicier in tubes a lot more controllable good video

ATB tubes, crazy.
Btw, what coins fit into the X capsule tubes?
I like to capsule and tube up what I can!

Awesome video! I prefer the white plastic (nylon teflon or whatever the material is) but honestly any tubes work... even the cheap paper bank rolls.
Prophylactics for my Eagles? Nice!

I'd place a second Cap on the bottom - It will help the Tube itself from chip damage, yes?
what a spegtubeular video!
We don’t have those tubes that I’ve seen in Aussie, I love capsules but some sizes hard to get here
That's how they come from Air-tite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tubes are very handy. mine are not that nice. I put them in a tube and then lock them in a fire and water proof safe.
Tootsies ... really ?? Ok the kids bring out the man sprinkles ... I get it .. 👍
they are well organised for sure but put all these silver coins in capsules? no way
All? No. Collectible and worthy pieces of your collection... absolutely.
