Thanks for taking a close look at the SATA cables to break each one down. It's quite important for people with many connections, and drives, to know the layout of cables. 🍻

Dark Power PSUs have only one problem - noise of the fan (internal mechanism), when it is under the load you can't hear it, but if it is in idle mode - t bearing noise can be heard, tried 3 different samples, this 'feature' is going from 12 series.

It's not only you, we all had to deal with this faulty unit. When I called the webshop to return the unit, first question they asked me is that because of fan noise? Yes we know most people are returning them for the same issue.
All over youtube and IG and Reddit people are complaining about this issue and yet BeQuiet is ignoring it. No price drop whatsoever.
Get The Asus one or more of FPS. MSI new model is also good alternative. At least you can sleep in your room while PC is on. No ERRR ErrrrErrrrrr

Thanks for talking about the cables, other RUclipsrs just babbled around and never bothered to talk about the included cables.

Be Quiet!'s Silent Wings 3 fans use a fluid dynamic bearing that is very quiet under load, but at low RPM signal they tend to stutter and click. Just a quirk of the bearing as is needs RPM to generate the fluid vortex that supports the shaft. This product runs the fans too low to stop this clicking behavior. It always "lugs" the fan at idle. Very poor tuning.

i like it, i just dont understand why it would be quad rail when single is better overall.

    • @Zombie101
      @Zombie101 Год назад

@@Rayu25Demon shouldn't be coil whining even if single rail, I've got a 1000w seasonic gx and it has single rail, runs perfectly. The dark 13 seems to also suffer from a crappy fan resonance that's why majority of the D13 units are out of stock/ not available again. Seems like everyone has been returning them

@Zombie dude, it's "Seasonic" the best PSU brand.
      There's no comparison.

@@Rayu25Demon I'd say bequiet are up there too. But yes I went with seasonic as they never let me down

@@Zombie101 The SL3 fans have amazing bearings for longevity and silent operation...under load. I have a bunch. A few are worse than others at idle when the RPM signal gets too "low" for the fan's fluid bearing and they start to chirp and chatter. FDB fans have a safe minimum speed to keep the fluid vortex going and not rub, but some SL3 fans can run below this and act poorly. Probably the case here. The fan tuning needs a tweak to run at a slightly higher RPM at idle or turn OFF like everyone else.

I like be quiet but the 13 series is really bad. Only the 850W is quiet. Others are not. And the fans are always on... Other PSU-s turn off the fans under low wattages... (cybenetics is a good wepage to check which PSU is quiet which is not)

You say this but the Dark Power 13 1000w is A+ on Cybenetics for noise? There aren't many better.

This is a premium psu with atx 3.0, then why is it not atx 3.0 certified?
Are they afraid they will be outed for having a noisy fan even at idle? Or that it doesn't meet the power handling requirements for the atx 3.0 standard?

The reason I disliked this video. Please dont help them to sell a faulty power supply. Your subscribers deserve better.
Thanks for the vide, But it could be nice if you mentioned the fan noise issue that everyone is complaining about! This design is buggy and BeQuiet unfortunately doesn't address it. NoQuiet Darkpower 13 850W would fit these models better.
