Incredible Scary! Typhoon Krathon Devastates Kaohsiung, Turns City Into Chaos! Taiwan

Typhoon Krathon slammed into Taiwan's main coastal city of Kaohsiung on Thursday, bringing heavy rain and strong winds to the south of the island. The strong winds toppled trees and flooded roads, prompting schools and businesses to close.
Sustained wind speeds were 126 kilometers per hour (78 miles per hour) with gusts of up to 162 kilometers per hour (101 miles per hour), the Central Meteorological Administration said.
Weather-related events attributed to Krathon have injured at least 123 people across the island, according to Taiwan's fire department. Two people died - one after being struck by falling rocks on a road in southeastern Taitung County, and another while pruning tree branches in Hualien City. Two others remain missing.
Kaohsiung officials urged residents to be vigilant about the weather, recalling the devastation caused by Typhoon Thelma, which severely damaged the city in 1977 and killed 37 people.
Earlier this week, Typhoon Krathon hit the northern Philippine islands, killing four people and displacing at least 5,000, officials said.
