What a simple yet profoundly deep video. Thanks Paul. You are a star!

Dude. This summary of the purpose of connections (community) and stripping yourself of an ego. My goodness this captures the essence that separates the Bujinkan and Nin from so many other martial arts organizations and philosophies.

Thank you for the reminder! Mankind tend to forget higher teachings, breaking it down to "don't be a Dick" is the best way to sum it up!
Please keep up the good work and stay safe, healthy and happy! My best wishes!

What you said here, changed my life, and I’ve been practicing for quite some time. Thank you for making sure we all remember Soke’s teachings and not just his techniques!

You have always been one of the big names in my book that i wanted to train with but i dont think we've ever met. Ive stopped training many years ago, but it's in my mind daily. I love seeing you and others like you that have stayed with it and accomplished so much! I'm also incredibly jealous that you live in Japan as that was my dream for many years. Life had other plans for me apparently and or i just missed all the trains, because I still haven't found my path. Now at 52, I've basically given up searching. Bless you and the Bujinkan 🙏

    I always liked the poem...
    The Warriors Creed:
    Wherever I walk,
everyone is a little bit safer because I am there.
    Wherever I am,
anyone in need has a friend.
    Whenever I return home,
everyone is happy I am there
    -Robert L. Humphrey

Yes! I was introduced to it by Jack Hoban. I even bought some shirts with that quote on it. Just brilliant 👏

Sounds like what a Christian should be like, likable, forgiveness etc... The only difference I see is that "we" expect it of Jesus to help us reflect and grow, while you expect humans to be able to get there on their own. Great to hear all this of you and Hatsumi Seinsei.

When practicing Kuji-in kai and jin remind us that everything is one, and we are part of everything. Maybe the realization that even when we feel disconnected, we, in fact, are still connected. Disconnection is an illusion caused by stress and fear, which also gives us tunnel vision.

His organization has never been very big in Japan. Clearly not as big as any of the Daimyo or the Tokugawa Shogunate. Worldwide, yes, he has them beat, but not in Japan. Hope you all back to training soon. Gambatte.
