- These are the smoky eye tips I learned over my career as a makeup artist.
The Pencil I used is MAC Carbon, By Terry Eyeshadow Stick, Mac Studio Fix Powder and Clinique Tubing Mascara

You do get used to it if it's done daily! Also, if the artist, or yourself, touch your face with another finger....a pinky on the cheek......it helps to take the sensation away from the spot where the product is being applied.
I think they wiped her tears in between shots.
All these years, this is exactly what we have been trying to unlearn.

I thought it was a hoax when I first watched it with the volume off. Lol
She is pretty but not what I would call a typical smokey eye either. And the powder under the eye will age her drastically once her makeup all sets.
I'm not a makeup professional but I used to do this trick back in the stone age (2009) and by the end of my shift at work I look like a crack-head that's been partying..Eyes all racoon 😢all the way to my cheeks and eyelid. Not to mention the mascara...😅
The products today are more smudgeproof then back then!

Pretty, but eye khols will smudge throughout the day. Great for photos, but not realistic for real life

My eyeliner in the water line never stays. Not even the waterproof type... This looks stunning! I love it. 💛

Before using any pencil with a small brush use setting powder on the water line area. Then set the kajal or Kohl pencil with a Lil bit of setting powder. thn use a light/ medium brown shadow to smoke it. Add a final smidge of compact powder/ powder foundation just on and below the eyeshadow. This sets ur eye makeup even on watery eyes like mine. Hope this helps🙏😅

Creamy liner on my inner or outer eye lines is always going to move no matter what power u put around it.
NEVER black or dark color on waterline, makes the eye small and very hard and old sight....use white
This depends on the eyeshape. I have more neotenous and “doe-like” eyes which will definitely favour what you suggested than the video’s recommended technique. This video was made for those who have an eyeshape which suits the “glam” or “temptress” aesthetic since he is adding definition to the streamline EYESHAPE (when you add definition to something it means you are highlighting)
What does he mean when says “paint the liner on using a glue pen” ?
Black glue eyeliner used to glue the lashes on. Easy to find. There are many brands
I cant never worw this because its looks messy after 10min and i look like Panda..
After all those effort , it looks quite basic sorry 🤷🏻♀️
I literally just turned 54 years old on Wednesday, December 13, and I have been doing this since I was in my teenage years so this is nothing new but thanks for teaching the ones that don’t know

The pro in me was all ready to roll my eyes at this .....but then it took a turn, into me learning some new tricks. Duh! I cannot believe I didn't think to use a tube mascara. So annoying when you get it perfect and then the wet mascara jack the look or the eyes start watering with all the dry powders in the eye.❤

But her eyes are irritated and red once the whole look is done which takes the charm away. She was so fresh before the eye makeup.. Makeup should be enhancing the beauty

My question is- how to avoid the smudges around my eyes and not to look panda after in a few hours?
I used the extra sticky eye primer and set the shadow with translucent powder. And touch up the powder every 3 hrs or so after you even out the shadow from any fine lines.🖤
Doesnt matter what i try, i always end with white waterline and smudged undereyes.
One thing I do to prevent smudging and bc i don't like lining my bottom waterline is that I put on eyeliner before I do my skincare. When you don't excessively wash it off, it gives a really beautiful lived in look that's not too harsh and kind of sultry.
In my experience, the bottom waterline is what smudges the most, and this prevents that. Also, make sure the area you work on isn't damp before applying any products.
@Digmer maybe you just have super oily eye skin. Have you tried not adding any more oily/ hydrating skincare AND not adding crazy amounts of liquid concealers?, plus setting your eye base before you add shadow and setti g the shadow too?
Way too many people are using too much liquid concealer on top of oily skincare to already oily eyes and use liquid shadows too!🤦🏻♀️ The more liquid products you use, the less it sets with powder. You have to know how far to take your shadow too. Adding too much pigmented shadow, too low on the under eyes isn't going to help.
Makeup is a custom process, you have to work with YOUR skin and anatomy, not everybody else's. And it may be that you shouldn't use powder or liquid shadow, and use a waxy eyebrow pencil instead.
