Hello friend! Thank you for your sincere reaction! When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least!
Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was walking under the overpass, also when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that?
Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace, and harmony and through his many charities. He is a Legend in the making and will go down in History.
This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it:
This mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was created by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The boys both loved the same girl, but she loved Dimash, so the other boy grew resentful over time, started a war, using the symbol of the necklace given to him by his friend Dimash, as the crest on his army uniform.
1) Dimash, was the boy drowning at the beginning and at the end.
2) The Piper, is the one who saved Dimash, became the leader, and was killed by Dimash at the end.
3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son who inherited the necklace from his mother…, they were all affected by the war.
“People are the caravan…. Life is the way”: Dimash spoke these words in Kazakh, when he found his daughter dead.
For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love, and harmony.

You are not reaching for metaphors.😁😂 Dimash fills his videos with symbolism. The Ocean as the womb is real. The devive that young Dimash found and shared was a navigation device. Same device was used by the friend who lost his way but device on uniforms was missing a directional piece from original.
The religeous groups answer to war was to refuse to fight. The blowing of the horn by the Rabbi was a call to gather for repentance. The dawn is given with thanks as a sign that another chance is given. Dimash's son leads them forward to a better future using the whole navigational symbol.
Sadly, like most intelligent people, Dimash misses that human stupidity is the greater danger. Much more dangerous than power hungry people, greed or selfishness.🙄☹️

(1) Dimash composed the song and participated in the arrangement, in addition to acting in the mini-film. The lyrics of the song and Russian poet Lilia Vinogradova and the video direction by Alina Veripya!
(2) The artifact that the boy found in the trunk and that was turned into necklaces is a "gnomon", a needle for a sundial (a rustic device for keeping time);
(3) The name "Piper" (piper, or piper) is known as a synonym for "dictator", "despot": This originates from the tale of the "Pied Piper of Hamelin" (folk tale rewritten by the Brothers Grim), where a piper was hired to deal with the rat infestation of the city of Hamelin (Germany, 1284). After hypnotizing the rats with his magic flute and drowning them in the Weser, the artist went to collect the amount owed (one coin per head) and was not paid (they alleged that he did not present the "heads" of the rats). (4) The oldest boy (who saved "Dimash" from drowning) does not accept being abandoned by the girl and becomes a dictator president/general;
(5) Dimash becomes a soldier who decides to return from combat to protect his war refugee family;
(6) Dimash finds his daughter dead and thinks that his wife had also died, so he decides to take revenge on his friend;
(7) He kills the dictator and is killed regretting the violence he committed in life;
(8) Dimash's wife is well received by people of different religions who agree that Dimash's son is someone special;
(9) The wife dies in childbirth and Dimash's son becomes a leader who leads the refugees to a better place of tolerance, respect and acceptance.

You didn't have to worry about copyright. I only saw very few blocked videos after releasing but not a single one after that. Dimash explicitly wants this video to be seen and shared.

In The Story Of One Sky he composed and sang the whole soundtrack himself.
The video shows once again that Dimash is an absolute genius. In composing, in singing but also as an actor and as a storyteller. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message however, is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But simply unbelievable. His singing is indescribable and I don’t have the words to express it adequately. But it is only the mediator of what this video is about. This is so heartbreaking and sad and an awesome masterpiece. Pure goosebumps. You probably have to see it more than once to understand it.
He worked on this composition for three years and also wrote the screenplay.
The premiere was on September 24, 2022.
As some have mentioned, this video should be seen by many people. It may be very brutal for some. But let’s not forget that for many, including children, this is everyday life in some countries. And Dimash relentlessly shows us how ugly war is. During his concerts he always tells the audience he loves all people in every country. He visited so many different counties with his concerts and he realized that there are no bad nations (only bad leaders).
And OMG he is such a phenomenal actor.
Dimash was the little boy who was drowning in the beginning and he gave the necklace to his childhood friend (and future leader) and the girl. The girl on the beach was his future wife. She was pregnant and in the end of the video she gave birth to her and Dimashs' (character) second child. The littel girl who was shot was Dimashs and her first daughter. When he came home and saw his daughter dead on the ground, he had to assume that his wife and unborn child were also killed. Desperation and maybe revenge has led him to kill his former friend. When I first saw the video, I was shocked. I didn't think he was going to shoot his friend. But in the end that all made sense. Dimash wanted to show what revenge can do. Violence always breeds violence, and because of this, not only is the leader dead, but so is Dimash. It was so heartbreaking to see Dimash drown at the end. Dimash in the last sequence of the video was the baby that was born and now as a grown man unites people of different nationalities and religions for peace.
In this video you can see how the main religions are represented mostly with his voice. Islam with the type of Arabic melisma (unfortunately I don't know the correct explanation for this type of singing), Buddhism with the monks and the enchanting "Om", Judaism with the shofar and the Christian church with the soprano singing, which often can be heard in churches.

By the way Dimash has received an award from Pope Francis personally at The Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Kazakhstan on September 13, 2022. He performed the song there in connection with the congress before the premiere. Can you imagine, a Muslim receiving an award from the head of the Catholic Church. How wonderful is that🥰.

Why are so many videos unviewable? I understand copyright, but surely if the video from Dimash's own account it would be viewable?

I take the liberty of editing the videos and making them transparent in order to follow RUclips guidelines in order to avoid a copyright claim block to the video as a whole and still being able to provide the community with the request asked. I’ve been made aware through you and several others through the dears community that Dimash himself is an advocate to reactions however, with RUclips system, we tend to run into issues, not just with him, but on other artist, even as we react to their videos on their channel
