This is the first part of Amrutha's great rendering of the great Swathi Thirunal kriti. I used to hear it in my childhood from the loudspeakers of Thirunnakkara Temple (Kottayam) in the voice of the great MS Subbulakshmi and loved it. We remember that the King made an attempt to condense the great epic Ramayana in the 6 charanams, mentioning main events (like Janaka suta praanesham, hinting the wedding of Sita - Rama). Salute the great Semmangudi who set it to Ragamalika for us.
I listened to this Bhavayami version a few times and enjoyed each swara rendered by her inimitable style. I concluded that this is the best rendering of this kriti which I have heard so far. It looks as though saptha swaras are her dasis who will attend her when called. It seems she teases us with them, but in reality she has a definite plan and does not deviate even an inch from that! The accompaniments are perhaps unaware of this version and failed to catch up with her, but tried best.
Stellar rendition. The pace is perfect - the whole piece is knit so well together while lingering on each raga - and this is one outstanding example where the entire stage renders the song in unison. Makes my day!
I completely agree with your assessment of Amrutha's rendering - sruti-shuddham, laya shuddham, vag shuddham, and bhavamana Bhavayami! Indeed the joy is palpable ... as much as it was in your rendering of the same brilliant piece on the veena in the Swathi Smruthi event in 2005. Thank you very much Sir! Hats off to all the artists who have performed so well!
A beautiful rendition. The interpretation is similar to that of the legendary MDR. It is quite likely that her guru being a die-hard worshipper of MDR's music was influenced by MDR's rendition of this classic composition.
Beautiful, brilliant rendition. Listening to the sixth time since yesterday. Very refreshing and relaxing to listen. Thank you Amrutha 🙏❤

The best Barometer of the concert is the Chettan sitting behind with Thambura .... enjoyed the performance of Amrita ...sincere and refreshing ...
Lovely attention to the beautiful lyrics of the song. She *has fun* on stage and everyone's invited! A very rare trait.
