My Wife and I are 80's Kids. She recently passed away at the age of 44. Listening to the Midnight is absolute Self Torture and brings me to Tears. When a Group can touch your Soul that way, you know they've achieved the ultimate success as Musicians.

Reading this comment brought ME to tears. When a band doesn’t just touch the heart but touches the SOUL, you know you’ve found your favorite band for life. Now my friend, whenever you hear this song I’m sure you’ll have wonderful memories to look back on and I’m sure she wouldn’t want you to be sad about her passing. I know. Easier said than done. Especially when it’s your significant other. But she wouldn’t want you to be sad when listening to this song but to remember all the good times you both had together

Even though he is a good guy on the inside people never give him a chance. He ends up going back home and goes to sleep. That will turn out to be the best part of his 'day'.

Everytime a new Midnight single drops my heart melts. It's a mix of hopeless romanticism and nostalgia of an era and life I didn't even live. I did a school exchange in the US for some time while in high school and those days of thunder changed my life. I wish I stayed more just to see what a prom night feels like. I have to give it to The Midnight just for the sheer volume of fantastic music they've put out in just a short few years. FM 84 are up there with them but have only put out one album (hopefully a new one is on it's way). Checkout Robert Parker, FM Attack, Le Cassette, and Electric Youth if you have not already done so (as well as those mentioned above). They're all SUPER rad!!

Underrated Hughes movie
That movie is terrible. Jennifer Connelly is the only good part about it, she is gorgeously lovely, but, the plot is just, jeez. It's ludicrous. There are many, many, many other films that fit perfectly for the wondeful music that The Midnight composes.

I seriously love how connected the video for this, Deep Blue, and Dance With Somebody are all connected. You can even see the prom night sash and dance with somebody poster in Deep Blue, so we got subtle teases early on. Whoever made these videos seriously did an amazing job.

I was transported back to 1999. Prom night. A very uneventful night for me but I was reminded of taking chances with a girl. Feeling rejection but feeling alive! Going for it. Taking a chance. I am loving this song.

Man, with the old computer in the image and everything, takes me straight back to my 'Prom Night' days. Driving with the windows down, city lights shining from below as I drive up over the hills on the north side of town, cool summer night wind blowing through my hair(RIP) as I take my girlfriend home before her curfew. Simpler times, in many ways.
'Monster' might be The Midnights equivalent to Linkin Parks 'Meteora', if this trend of absolute banger tracks continues.
